It’s a KV1... the KV2 had a massively oversized turret, easily recognizable.

Russian built tanks like T55, T72 and all its variants are really very small inside. Countries that used them were usually looking for small guys to serve on them. T34, for its time, was rather spacious.

to be fair, tanks dont have good armour on top as tank fired shells were supposed to hit the front, sides and rear. an explosion in that weakpoint could disable the tank as there might also be fuel tanks located. but yea, although he picked up 2 grenades, it still looked like one was thrown. the dialogue later is a bit questionable

@@morikanteyekeyeke6147 No, it is not possible. Only using several grenades tied together to explode at the same time could be done and not against all models of panzers.

Russian bias, it's not possible one grenade can't take out pzs. Remember panzers were made for infantry support and lighting warfare meaning they should be able to fight through most obstacles and hence can't be taken out by a grenade or two. That's why there's something called anti-tank missiles and weapons. Someone should have told this to the director.

German stick grenades where percussion only; not white phosphorous or anything that could bore into a tanks armor. If places near the exhaust maniford or such pipes it might cause a low grade fix, find some way o get a canopy or side door open on the take amd dropthosefernades in the with wx;lousive chasrges.

@@eugen2408 That was a normal "potato masher" grenade, not a Panzerfaust, Panzerschreck or a bundle of grenades (as the other soldier suggested). It doesn't erupt into flames on impact.

T34 and kv-1 were not so old at that moment of war, T34 had great mobility and kv was well armored

That was a funny kill, the grenade burst into flames, more like a Molotov cocktail. A grenade exploding near the turret wouldn't have done much damage, especially on a Panzer IV H protected by its "skirts".
