It is disgusting.I watched some scenes of this documentary I found online: one of them was laughing when he was talking about the civilians he killed and the fun he had and the games him and his soldier comrades played while killing them...They made the genocide into a game..

I ofc can't speak for these people (who's to say what they're really feeling), but I also have kind of a laughing response when thinking about some of my own trauma sometimes. I guess they could just be sadistic but personally when watching the film I recognized that response as a loss for words and an inability to process something- almost like an unconcious mechanism to reduce the gravity of something you don't want to process.

Some still say 1948 was the start, maybe because it was the Israeli self-declaration, (?) but I think 1947 was the UN declaration (?) and the more equal original borders before they mysteriously shifted. It's also mysterious (not really) how something so factually concrete is questionable...but I think we all know why.

I personally think a secular single state ala South Africa would be the more just approach. Of course it seems bleak now, but more division of the land, even if it is done in an attempt to seem equal, will bring more conflict.
