Things you should know : 1) Driving pattern of EV is very different than a normal petrol/diesel car........So it will take time to learn the driving pattern of your EV and once you will get used to, you will start getting more mileage 2) Car gets fast charged in 60 to 70 min .....But this is " 0 to 80% " which is clearly mentioned by the company.......because for the remaining 20% , car charges slowly to avoid overheating of battery.... 3) Yes infrastructure is an issue.........So buy the car after exploring the available charging stations near your daily route.... There is no point in getting frustrated afterwards......you should Do some research before hand and then buy an EV because 16 lakhs is not a small amount.. 4) Dont go for EV if you are fond of travelling long distance tours.......Charging infrastructure may become an issue... If you consider all these things, and still you can manage these, then surely go for EV.......it will give you lot of savings Thanks😃

Current EVs offered in india ( mainly nexon and tigor) are only applicable for city usage like office commute. You can charge with a normal charger at home overnight. Every home should have EV but at the same time should also have a petrol or diesel car for interstate travel and long rides.
Its a good car but Tata must take range as a serious issue, buyers from this segment arent loooking for such brutal power, instead adequate power, better range & bigger battery should be the real focus. Also, if such issues are depicted, they are to be well addressed.

Mai bhi lene ki socha tha EV but due to lack of infrastructure and subsidy in CG maine diesel prefer kari.. Diesel Nexon XM around 11 lakh ki hai where as EV 16 lakh ki toh 5 lakhs ka diesel agar agle 5 saal ka average fuel cost 115 rs per liter bhi mane toh uske hisab se approx 4350 liter aajayega aur usme agar 15 ka average leke chale toh approx 65k tak meri gaadi free rahegi.

I think other than more charging points at every 10-25 km on highways new designs will have exchange battery or backup battery for long travel and remote areas.

This is a genuine review. This is a main problem. For every recharge on highway you have to wait for 30 to 45 minutes and if on highway with family at night 30 to 45 minutes in hostile area is bad and not safe at all.
सर हमारे पास भी टाटा नेक्सन ev है हमने 35000 किलोमीटर चला चुके हैं पर हमें ऐसी कोई समस्या नहीं है हम रोज 200 किलोमीटर चलाते हैं फुल चार्ज में 220 किलोमीटर चलती है ऐसी में दस परसेंट में ऐसी बंद हो जाता स्पीड लिमिट 70 से 80 के बीच रहती है जब 210 किलोमीटर चल जाती है और 20000 किलोमीटर में सिर्फ गियर ऑयल के पैसे लगे 15 सो रुपए लगे हैं इसके अलावा अभी तक कुछ भी पैसे नहीं लगे दो बार अलाइव मैन बैलेंस चेक करवाया वह भी सही निकला वह तो चलाने के ऊपर रहता है पर मैक्सिमम 200 किलोमीटर चल जाती है मुझे इस गाड़ी में सीट और स्टेरिंग अच्छी नहीं लगी बाकी सब अच्छा है मैं एमपी उज्जैन से हूं

EV range is totally dependent on driving pattern and regenerative breaking if We drive EV like ic engine car the range will definitely low or there is one important functions missing in Tata Nexon EV is cruise control the cruise control in most important to get more range if Tata solve it will definitely break the roof of selling 😉

Just on the experience of one customer you cannot decide that nexon EV range is not as par with companies claim. There many other reviews where nexon users are getting 210 to 230 km range . It depends on driving ...

It is a city car dont expect too much out of it. When i go out of city usually drive more than 400km, which is never possible in EV , as it needs to be charged at least once and that 2 hours i am not having to waste.
How does one charge from 0 to 100 at a fast charging station? How did he reach there with 0 per cent charge? EVs are not good for someone who regularly drives on highways or drives daily more than 200 km. But such people are less than 10 per cent among car owners. For someone driving mostly in city and under 150 km, EVs are the best. Rs1 rupee per KM cannot be ignored. Diesels have DPF issues. Big headache. Petrols have ethanol issues (govt is increasing ethanol blending from 10 % present to 20%, which is bad for petrol engines).
these are theoritcal points. people dont throw away 16 lakh rupees (its not water its still a huge amount in india) and if we cant take car literally anywhere except cities then it feels useless. u dont just buy cars to go from office to home. what if just after office you need to go back home and then market, you are literally waiting for it to charge. so many people already suggested tata to provide long range model for their evs, if tata nexon can easily done 200 km at any condition of driving than people will not be stressed while using it. There must be option of battery upgrade and tata has used very small battery, tesla literally comes with double the size and even have higher effciency compared to most evs. at least 55 kwhr battery will reduce the pain and also tata need to work on software its just a very buggy software.
Ev for example nexon is strictly suited for city driving! Charge and electronic related issues are expected time and again! 1.25 rs per km if you charge at home overnight! Petrol automatic will give 6-7 rs per km mileage! But is also atleast 3 lakhs rs cheaper to buy even with subsidies on ev and lesser loan amnt too! If you drive 20000 annually you can cover the extra amount in three years! If your daily run is less than 50 kms, guess only reason to buy ev is for novelty !

TATA ने जल्दबाज़ी में EV variant निकल दिये। जो अभी जुगाड़ type ही हैं। जैसे बैट्री पैक oil tank वाली जगह लगा दिया। किसी गाड़ी में spare wheel वाली जगह उपयोग कर ली आदि आदि। गर्मी में भी गाड़ी की performance बहुत ख़राब रहती है। battery का cooling system issue है। Sudden battery drain issue भी है। सही EV गाड़ियों में Battery Pack floor पर design and install रहता है उसका चैसिस ही ऐसे बना होता है। इससे आगे के बोनट में space बचा रहता है।
I think when he replaced his white EV with a blue EV using his "jack" , the showroom owner sold him a battery defective piece out of frustration. And now he is not getting more support from the showroom bcoz of bad past behaviour. Lesson learned is- do not overdo your arm twisting.

सभी कंपनी के चार्जर पॉइंट पिन एक जैसे होने चाहिए, क्योंकि अगर सभी कंपनी के चार्जर अलग-अलग तरह के हुए तो मान लीजिए हमारे पास टाटा गाड़ी है और हमारी लोकेशन के पास में किसी दूसरी कंपनी का चार्जर पॉइंट है तब समस्या होगी कि हम कैसे चार्ज करें। यह सब पेट्रोल पंप की तरह होना चाहिए कि जैसे किसी भी कंपनी की गाड़ी में आप तेल डलवा सकते हैं उसी तरह से हरेक चार्जिंग पॉइंट पर सभी गाड़ी चार्ज होनी चाहिए। इस बात पर सरकार को खास ध्यान देना चाहिए
EV is city car.. period. If you are adventurous than go for long drive. My suggestion, buy EV for daily commute and use sleeper Volvo for long distance. Car se jana hai zoom car lelo.. regular chlna hai.. bhai diesel car lo.. afford nahi kar sakte diesel aj ke rate me.. to apni priority reset kar lo..

Real लाइफ रिव्यू की बहुत जरूरत है। टाटा EV की कुछ units में शुरू sae ही issues हैं। टाटा को कस्टमर को देने से पहले हर यूनिट चेक करनी चाहिए। But भाईसाहब, 80% के बाद चार्जिंग बहुत slow हो जाती है। But आप 80% के बाद भी फास्ट चार्जिंग में लगाकर रखोगे और टाटा को blame करोगे तो ये बेवकूफी वाली बात हो गई।

Is bai ki bat sun Kar lagta hai gadi sirf Ev se achhi hai hybrid . Jab bhi battery low ho gadi petrol or cng se chal sake and charge bhi hoti rahe sath-sath. When charge reached required position again it convert in ev. This is the best way to use EV with no tension and any long drive achive without long stop steps. Cng is also a lowest harmful emissions then petrol ⛽ and diesel.
He brought the car for office use , 40 km up down. But Now he want to drive at 100km/hr to delhi n jaipur. Comparing a 1.5 litre engine of creta with an EV is plain wrong. Comparing and SUV with car is wrong. Environment was never the concern. Very biased review
Why buy any car when zoomcar and revv is there ! No insurance No Registration charges No Maintenance. Only enjoyment in 1-2 hazaar per day. Har weekend bhi loge tou bhi 8 hazaar per month padega zoomcar se. Aur wo bhi har weekend doosri car. Dony buy any car. Its waste of money. Go by ola uber rather than spending in Petrol. Or zoomcar and revv
