Tea towel printing at home has never been easier! Easy to make with supplies from Chalk Couture. Perfect for using in your own kitchen, making as gifts, and selling in stores!
Supplies needed for tea towel printing:
I am an independent designer with Chalk Couture and the links below are from my online shop.

Chalk Couture Transfer (I used Mama’s Kitchen and Wicked Chickens.) (You can find a wide variety of transfers that will work for tea towels in my shop.)
Couture Ink (in any color)
Ink mat (currently sold out but you can use an old Cricut or Silhouette mat instead or even try cardboard sprayed with stencil adhesive)
Squeegee (currently sold out but use a kitchen spatula that you will not use in your kitchen again)
Stir Sticks
Tea towels
Iron or Heat Press
Parchment Paper
Painter’s Tape
Clorox Wipes
Magic Eraser (optional)

Thanks for the magic eraser tip! I'd never head of that before. I made the heifer/chicken tea towels in silver back in April for practice with the product, but wanted to make them in black for Christmas gifts. Needed a refresher video, to make sure I wasn't skipping any steps! This was very helpful Can't wait to knock them out now. :)

When cleaning off your sticky stencils, do you use warm water to soak them in? Cleaning off that mat, do you use warm water on that too? Just making sure! I'm new to this process, but it looks so fun!

You can clean the stencils with warm water or just a clorox wipe. The mat, just use a damp cloth and pat at it as the sticky will come up with any aggressive scrubbing. Hope that helps!

This was a bit confusing while watching the video, because of some of the terminology and images that were used. The blue "transfer" sheet you were using looks like a stencil commonly used by many crafters and artists. After watching the entire process, I realized the materials used are for what's called screen printing. Seems like a good product and you demonstrated this very well, but I think if the company continues to call these transfer sheets, others may not realize this is an easy method to do screen printing. You did an awesome job, though. TFS

That is what they are called in Chalk Couture as they are really a silk screen and not a stencil.

I am using cotton tea towels. I think the terry would allow for the ink to run under the transfer.

They are actually more like a silk screen and the official name is a transfer.

Hi Jean! All items come separate when you purchase. There is a kit you can buy if you want to sell Chalk Couture but the inks or ink mat do not come in it.
