I head over to hamilton to help a mate out getting a Nissan VK56 Supercharged engine fired up and running ready to head to the dyno.
His version of events is found here.

The Cartune Company (2003) Ltd in New Zealand does 1uz and 3uz conversions / parts and wiring. We have been working on UZ Toyota V8 engines since 2004 when we did our own Hiace van to transport dirtbikes around NZ. Since then we have swapped to doing mainly just Lexus V8 work from a family owned farm hidden away in our paradise , surrounded by the NZ native bush. I thought "The Lab" rang a bell. The Skid Factory did a wee tour earlier this year I think haha Awesome stuff

Yep , Glenn had a visit from the skid factory guys. I have done a few jobs with Glenn as we often bounce ideas off each other, a bit like you and I do from time to time. Cheers Kelvin

When I move from the Hunter Valley here in OZ, I am going to need to make contact with you regarding my LS400.. Like many 1995 UCF20Rs it is idling too slow and rough shifting...typical air valve and throttle sensor probs....I plan to bring my collection of spare engines too. Hopefully you are not too far from Golden Bay/Nelson area. You are the most informed 1UZ-FE specialist I have seen. Cheers from Hunter Valley Wine Country Australia.

Which supercharger is that what size for the vk56de? Do they have any bigger size ones? Can't find any superchargers around here for a vk56de. Only turbo kits for vk56de

A supercharger, a manifold, injectors, management, an engine etc etc.

Hey mate quick question do you know if the 1uz and 3uz share the same engine mounts?

Yes and No. The 3uz has the same holes as the 1uz but the 3uz has 2 extra holes. So 1uz mount brackets (of which there are many different types depending on model) bolt onto a 3uz however the 3uz mount brackets wont bolt onto the 1uz as the extra holes aren't present. The rubber mounts also differ between models but some do interchange. For more info you may need to be more specific with your question. Cheers Kelvin

Hey Mate, Do you have much info or knowledge on the BMW m50/tu naturally aspirated. We just installed the G4 on our motor and haven’t had a chance to do any tuning (or do we have much knowledge of tuning) after start up it began to heat/overheat up quickly so we shut her down until and trying to do more research. Can you help?

Hello. I always start with the basics like bleeding the system properly. Have you set the link up with the TPS calibrated? Map Sensor Calibrated? and set the base timing?

We have just got it started on the base tune it came with. The system is bled we are using factory harness and factory sensors, we did not get any of the link sensors. Should we?
