Thanks so much for listening everyone, the reception has been such a fantastic treat after all this time working on the album! I'll be releasing a compilation of all four parts to RU-vid and BandCamp tomorrow :D
The fact that this one fades to black rather than fading to white is anxiety-inducing to me. It definitely mixes well with the final song, with it's dark ambient. Kudos on creating 4 amazing parts!
This poor fool, they had the power of insight, but no way to view forthright. And we, as foolish as they were, are gifted the hindsight our poor fool would've wished to have had. Like the mother who noticed Bernie Madoff could never look her in the eyes, so are the days of us fools
I absolutely can't wait until I can binge these. And then binge the compilation. This Patricia Pup art is so good too, she's free, peaceful and confident in her footfalls. Good dog 💚
Thank you so much for this fourth round Patricia Taxxon, each iteration of this Techdog series has been a wonderous return for your comeback, each part coming back harder and epic than the last! Take care! ❤
After listening to the whole project I'm once again stunned by Patricia's ability to play with sounds while creating such an unique but instantly recognizable soundscape. Her sound, to me, is almost childish, in the sense that it's incredibly brash and confident, infinitely inventive and always hopeful, be it in the more somber tunes or the joyful ones. Absolutely live it. Favorite track: CGCTGHTOHDOEDE
the Autechre track Sim Gishel has a similar retrospective vibe, but it's much darker. But I definitely felt that vibe, possibly because of the classic Patricia backbeat to it.
@@piss.warlock Thanks so much, I would've been thinking about it all day otherwise! Glad I got to play flash natively for at least a little bit in my youth.
the ending to this album is the best part imo, the year of the dog is so triumphant and then the noise slowly being corrupted by heavy unfamiliar out of place sounds as it fades to darkness is just really impactful
I did not read the description at first, I wanted to allow the music to describe the feeling. After the first three, this seemed like the right way to enjoy it, to me. The first title greeted me with a dark, oppressive and mechanical landscape and after a while an aetherial, innocent and fragile melody arose from that, grew stronger and clearer, becoming less aetherial but never loosing its vulnerability. I was confused and yet this all seemed to make sense, it felt... familiar. So scrolled down to read "Feeling like myself." That hit like a hammer. Now, that I am done listening to the entire album, I still am not over how much that first song resonated and I will have to revisit this as soon as I am done processing. Am I ever thankful I came across your work. Love Lutan
47:19 this is so good I’m so happy I looked into your channel, reminds me of Sophie I love this soundscape of unique complex drum patterns and nice synth and piano like Melodie’s with these voice samples so cool
Track 2 is unlike anything I've heard before and it's the reason why today, I'm finally gonna work my way backwards through your discography like I've been meaning to. Doggy mode activate
Wow, an entire hour and a half more for the final fourth part! I just love the emotions that your music lets me feel, and it just has a certain vibe to it that I don’t really get listening to anyone else’s music. I love how it’s so unapologetically different from other kinds of music, not just to be different, but because different is the best that it can be.
Oh I love the instrumentation in this! There's sections where the instrumentation reminds me of various previous albums of yours, but taken to 11. And also the extremely stimmy sound design of the rest of the TECHDOGs. Thank you so much for this
I appreciate the "the kids are alright" bit. Hard bein' a youth on the internet a lot of the time. Generally only ever tolerated at best. Feels nice to have some encouragement from a source I respect. Every bit helps :3 Also: hhgreg influence is very obvious and also very good. "GOGCGOGHOCOECHCDHEHTEDETDTDT" just feels great. To love sound again indeed :3
One and a half hour? Guess now I understand why patricia was all like "omg, guise, this took so long, I dunno what happened, sowwy" =P Looking forward to it, had a great time with the earlier parts
CYA edit: NEW GAMES EVERY THURSRDAY???? in all seriousness this series from beginning to end has taken full control of my body including how i breathe and GDGEGDGCDEDHECETCHCOHTHOTOTO just made me cry thank you patricia ur sucjh a good doggy i feel like im being programmed right now what are you doing
theres a bit around the 20 minute mark that has a kind of leitmotif that sounds like the intro to like a fighting game you would play on newgrounds in like 2005 and that makes me very nostalgic
This TECHDOG project is amazing overall, but this part is by far my favorite (specially DEDGDEDCEGEOGCGHCOCTOHOTHTHT ). Such inspired tracks that are sitting in my head for days now.
