Of all of these clips, I'd say this was the most impressive. That was good music, and I'm not sure who was more responsible for it, the girl or the man.
Well the second girl is even more priceless..she almost crying..this is insane moment for both, even for me..this is 1 of the best I've seen..so much love in music when magic happens..but kiss guy that plays with foo fighters is still nr1..nothing beats that moment
Once she got over the shock that he’s a genius you could see how much she was enjoying the fact that he understood her composition. It was a really beautiful moment.
Writes music. Spends weeks practicing. Blood. Sweat. Tears. Sleepless night in front of the piano. "Will I ever have the skill to play this piece?" Finally has the courage to attempt it in public. Success! All that time spent practicing was worth it. Suddenly, there comes a voice... "d0 YoU KNow BooGIe wO0giE?"
and he reworks it with more emotion in it xD (till the BoOgIe WoOgIe starts) but i really liked the version of brendan more, it didnt had that hardcuts between the notes and was a bit faster and more emotional played.
@@catedoge3206 What the girl did is true amazing! And Brendan, yes he is an many years talented and experienced player BUT seeing/listening to a song one time and able to instant replay in a redefined manner is truly outstanding This shows me his true skills besides fiddling and joking with boogie woogie😂
@@catedoge3206..... and Brendan always compliments and appreciates everyone else's skill on the piano... I really enjoy when he shows people the boogie woogie. It blows my mind, the amount of people that don't know it... he truly is inspiring....😎🖖
The remarkable thing here is Brendan demonstrating to the young lady different ways in which she could develop her composition. He plays different variations on her theme, in different styles. You can see her drinking it all in. One would hope that she goes home and her composition continues to grow. Excellent. She probably learned more from his session than from months of piano lessons. A lovely video.
Wow amazing. At 15 she plays her original piece so beautifully and to see the excitement and joy watching him elaborate and show what else there is to bring her music to life. She's genuinely inspired. All the best for her future playing. Great video.
The guy is a musical genius.... I love how she created her own composition, then just by watching her perform once, he did his own version of hers with a little more twist!!! Also, I liked the fact he gave her pointers and advice afterwards... The girl has got tons of talent at such a young age and she has a bright future 👏🏼
My father had similar abilities. He was playing bass and harmony of church music at age 4. His parents were not really interested but all he ever wanted was to play piano.
The look on her face of pure happiness watching his version was moving. She is honest and open minded, that is a very important trait that will stand her in good stead.
The best video yet put out by Brendan.. a talented, young, enthusiastic girl massively impressed by Brendan's version she hurriedly films it.. unlike other clips where people are merely amused this girl is genuinely appreiative.. lovely footage
Bοlτ .. what I see is a 15yr old girl, talented and growing exercising a skill that most other 15yr olds could not do so .. I see a 15yr old with genuine passion and taken aback by Brendan’s play on her piece... I don’t see amusement, I see a genuine love for the piano irrespective of how perfect her play was (amazing in my opinion) .. I see a lovely innocent interaction which makes myself (and no doubt others) smile.. That’s why it’s a beautiful clip
Writing music takes your entire soul to a different level, then you add a master who plays her composition by memory and keeps the composition soaring. So beautiful 🤩 and she’s only 15!
You couldn't wipe the smile off the girl's face when you started playing her composition. And big kudos to you for talking to her about her GCSEs after. Hopefully she's still playing
Can't explain exactly why but this is one of my favourite Brendan videos. The song, the melody, the girl's talent, Brendan's absolute pitch and talent, the moment of surprise... This has it all. The melody has a touch of melancholy, a sadness combined with great beauty. Beside all this, the girl is breathtakingly gorgeous. Really liked when her friend, the other lovely girl in the denim jacket, started to smile when she realized Brendan was playing the exact same melody. This video is pure Gold! Two thumbs up!
And there it is (Can't explain exactly why but this is one of my favourite Brendan videos) (Beside all this, the girl is breathtakingly gorgeous) Thats how to spot a creepy pedophile discreetly displaying his intention! Even his username (Robert4YOU) and creepy profile picture reeks of sexual predator and arrogance She is a child, dude you should not be commenting on her sexual appearance , so fuck off Sneaky little asshole, get a fucking life
Yes! You're absolutely right about Brendan's improvisation of her song. Some of Brendan's improvisations are soo nice, I really hope someone (or Brendan himself) transcribes some of them!
Hey Brendan. Just wanted to say how much videos like this are so appreciated by myself when feeling everything is getting a bit on top! She undoubtedly walked away ten feet tall after your encouragement! Stay safe brother & keep on rocking
This is my favorite Brendan Kavanagh video. From Brendan's replaying of music heard one time, to the beauty of the original artist, to the obvious infatuation of the other girl for Brendan; the whole video is absolutely priceless. Thank you for capturing this moment, and thank you for placing it here for all of us to share! Thank you so much!
@@MrWhoevr ~ If you like music, particularly the piano, then watch more of his videos and you will become a fan. He just colored it up a bit, so to speak. She made a beautiful cake, and he just put some frosting on it, and even added a bit of ice cream. She was apparently delighted with his addition to her piece. . .
I mean it does sound nice, but it's not really that "impressive" so to say. Broken down, it's just arpeggios with chords which are techniques practiced by intermediate pianists. Her courage to play these in public, however, can be commended.
Clinton Keller Music is a language - and western music is a very specific language based around key and chord progressions. Brendan is watching the patterns and the way they are developed and then repeating them. Just as you can repeat a conversation you took part in several hours ago.
that's the beauty of styles like boogiewoogie and ragtime. Once you have the base line, you can just go full out, and even if you mis a note it's hardly noticeble. Not a musician myself, but this is what I noticed watching a lot of videos
She's got a good grasp of the basics. She's clearly well trained and has worked hard. He gave her a taste of what a master can do with a solid foundation in the basics. If she's the craftswoman she appears to be, that will motivate her to reach for more.
This young lady takes weeks, maybe months, to compose this original tune, Brendan listens to it one time & plays it back perfectly, with his own embellishments. You are an amazing talent Brendan!!!
2:12 She's thinking "How can he do that just by watching for a couple minutes, OMG, OMG". 2:58 "He's hearing the same thing I had in my head when I came up with it, OMG, OMG". 3:26 "Well, it's still in there somewhere".
it was nice to see another talented young lady, taking the time to ask about some things, An yes Brengan see the talent that that young lady has. thanks for doing what you do for others.
Never judge a book by its cover. Boots and all. She is so lucky to have her own piece played by the master. So inspiring for her . She will now go away to largen her ability thanx to you.
@@MrBobchat He is an inspirstion and stops people dead to listen too. He plays with emotion and outside the chains of the usuall order. I love some classical music and all the instruments together making wonderfull music. But some of it is just dull and boring. They play from written music and no matter how challeging the piece it may still be boring. Yes theres many even more talented artist out there, But to have imagination and creativity. Putting there emotions into there own pieces and stop you in your tracks . Thats why to me he is a master. Its not always about pleasing your bosses or being the best within your field. Just look at the attention he creates. Perhaps thats just my opinion, But ill stick with it while he plays with his own style and feelings.
You can tell this young woman will grow to be a true musician. Instead of complaining of being outdone she scrambles for her phone to record another musican!!! Good job young lady!!!
i think its really cool how you showed her one possible technique/style after another so she can hear and learn from it , it was all random but you did a great job widening her mind
You can see her face light up when he takes her song and just adds so much more to it. It’s like he made her ideas come to life in a way she hadn’t thought of.
I could watch this all day and night. Genius appreciates her talents, and shows his appreciation with his immediate version to perform within minutes of following her hands, cords, and transitions. Love how Brendan can amaze everyone in so many different ways. But this one is his best.
This has got to be the best video of Dr. K's I have seen so far. The way he adapts her original piece is breathtaking. I might buy a piano and start taking lessons myself. This is amazing.
I actually quite like the move from him when he realized that people don't listen to her music so he closed them from her not to distract her. Very polite move!
This day that girl learned 2 valuable lessons- don’t judge a book by its cover and how to put life into her compositions. Life can be wonderful- if you let it. 🤗🎹🎼
And a third lesson: enjoy the journey and stay in the moment. Her elegance speaks to her parents raising her well. Mr KAVENAUGH is a force of nature. Our silly upside down world is better having him spinning around the globe with us.
Such a talented Dr K., who never ceases to amaze me. He has an aptitude to hone in on a tune, no matter how rare the piece is and create and elaborate more music out of the original composition. Now that is what I call unique talent. What a guy. ❤️The young lady has the potential to be a great pianist and should keep going.💖
To see the young lady turn, then smile, then start recording your playing is REALLY inspiring! Fantastic! God I wish I had your talents -- a lot of hard work over the years. Thank you.
What humility and respect Brendan gives this young lady. He knows he can play her composition better but gives her the opportunity to play it through in public. Then all he does is talk to her about it and how she composed it for her exam and gives her the accolade she deserves. Truly remarkable.
This is all just wonderful ,classy talent, there are so many people out there with raw, hidden talent. I for one at 74 cannot get enough of it , it is a real spirit lifter especially when my days seem grey. I am indebted to you all -Thank you, CJ -Deb’n Booy..
This is my fave Brandon video. Don’t get me wrong I love his jazzy jams with random people and his piano friends but I just love 💕 the authenticity of the moment.
At first she seemed pretty pissed and did not give a heck about Brendan, but she totally switched mood when he started playing. Such a master, keep going!!!
As somebody who personally knows the girl and spoke to her today, I cna tell you she was very interested In the man's playing and that's how they started talking in the first place. The only reason why she looked "pissed" was because she was concentrating on remembering her piece. And yes, she was very happy with how he played it back.
Wow! The future master plays beautifully! Then the master sit down, wow! Between the two of them I’m sure there were several thousand hours of study and practice! What a pleasure to see artists at work.😎
oh i cried a little bit while the girl was playing but when you took over ...somehow you have that positive way of playing music sir and you make the piano sound like is the first time i hear it ! Wonderful ! thank you !!!!
I like the way Dr. K talk to people about music looking at the piano. It's like he's thinking already about new ideas to put down on the keyboard. A genius.
Oh my God that song made me cry. So much emotion behind her composition, you can totally tell that came straight from her soul. When you played it, painted the complete picture. Broke into teaars
WOW !! She can play really well and she is going to BEAUTIFUL when she grows up. I hope she keeps playing because it would so coo for her to be able to teach her own children one day. Nice job !
You could SEE her shock as she glanced back hearing her own composition being played, whirl about to confirm, and then get emotional (tears?) as her music wafted from the keys under a pro's touch. I really think she would have cried aloud if not for trying to record the playing. I don't think she felt one upped as much as she felt appreciated enough to have it noticed by a pro and then stretched to show her composition's beauty and elasticity. But what do I know? I can barely play a police whistle!
I can watch 2:08 to 2:25 over and over again forever. The most amazing reaction from the girl. While the whole video is awesome, it is this 17 second part that makes the entire experience extraordinary.
I Love the way you took it and showed how it can sound.... that's what my guitar teacher would do when I wrote something....it was wonderful!!!! She reacted the way I would've....I had to watch and memorize because no cell phone lol....as a composer....it helps to hear from someone wiser to figure out what direction we want to go with it.... can't find the words.....I don't read music.....play by ear and feel.....great job GUYS!!!! Love this piano in the public....from a one horse town "The South" GA!!! But glad I found it on YT 🤗
To Brendan, I just wanted to tell that I have listen to you play the piano, all I have to say is that you play very wonderfully ! I really truly honestly love to listen . Keep up the wonderful job that you do . It doesn't matter what the beat of the music sounds like it's still wonderful . Thank you so very much for you taking the time, making the effort .
Thought for a sec that was Gamazda then realized the energy in her playing wasn't right. Great job though. Love all these anonymous kids with incredible talent. The future is bright folks!
Such a deeply emotional piece written by that 15 year old girl. It's one of those magical tunes that I can listen to over and over and not tired of. Watching Brendan while listening to the short masterpiece of the girl, I could see him recording it in his head. His musical memory does look like it is similar to the great composers like Mozart. Although Mozart wrote out entire symphonies and other works in his head. Wondering if Brendan could do that kind of thing! But his boogie woogie ending reminded me of one of Mozart's great masterpiece, a fantasy, where he wrote a melancholic brilliant piece, then at the end added a kind like childlike ending which didn't go with the piece at all. But Brendan entertained the girl. Still....
