It wasn't just about Conservative views, though it is definitely worse being a Tory, as they are the Nasty Party. The party for greedy people who lack empathy. Truss obviously has no principles, as she switched allegiance and will say virtually anything if it helps her to climb the greasy career pole. For the record, if my daughter had made a speech at a Labour or Lib-Dem conference when she was a teenager, I would have been very worried. If it was a Tory conference, then I would have been appalled and encouraged her to join me at the therapists, as I would have realised that we both needed help.
