Just picked bryan back up this morning been my secondary for ever just took me longer to get back to him. Appreciate the hard work putting this together! Now ill do some damage! ❤
You have to be brother ! Its the only combo that is easy and more optimal ! Don’t worry about the combo dropping ! Focus on your knee’s ! You have to bounce your opponent high !
What a great video! I'm not so great at this first combo but I'm determined to get it! Any tips on moving from the dash into the qcf 34 while keeping the height?
Mah man ! Qcb1 is mot an ordinary move ! Like it will hit if we just press it ! Actually you need to be doing qcb1 alot in your neutral game ! I practice qcb1 with taunt :3 thats why its good ! I can hit qcb1 at 3 bars :p ! And you can’t play bryan without qcb1 ! Your bryan will melt he’s weak af right now ! So start using qcb1 more ! Practice it with taunt ! And your qcf34 should bounce opponent higher ❤️ i hope you get my point ❤️
Awesome video! I am struggling with some inputs though and just can not seem to get them right. Do you have some advice for the combo that starts at 0:40? My 2 in the d3+4,2 part just doesn't connect 90% of the time.
@@gwdofdestruction hahaha, no brother I always look into your moves and try to copy since T7 hahaha, I mean since T7 your still awesome until T8, in a short span of days but you achieve that level of combo scenario, for me that is awesome. Keep it up bro,
The fault is in your qcf 3 4 ! You have to practice it ! Qcf34 should bounce opponent higher ! B2 4 will connect ! But qcb1 will whiff ! If qcf34 is rightly timed ! Qcb1 will connect
I'm starting to think that combo doesn't exist lol I've been bashing my head trying to do QCB1 and keep running into your problem,the time isn't specified on the vid so it's hard to tell
Are these combos pretty close to optimal damage wise as far as you know? Just curious if there are cases of "this combo just looks cool" Im completely new to Bryan. On T7 I a hard stuck eternal ruler but with alisa and hwoarang lol I want to learn bryan but he is more complicated than he seems at first for sure.

@@gwdofdestruction im switching from a drag main to bryan main and compiling a play list of strats and guides to make playing him easier. Its mostly just your videos right now. Like A lot of them is just your stuff cause it's fucking top tier. Honestly you could do a "dont let X character get away with these" for everyone lol (idk if you have yet but I say the Paul one and didn't even KNOW he could punish death fist.)

do you have any advice on gettting qcb1 to connect after the jet upper double knee combo? and the orbital db2 combo? i cant get the qcb1 to connect, are you doing a small micro dash? they always fall to the ground right before it connect dropping the combo...even though im doing it the double knee part really fast so they stay in the air longer.
I was trying this as well for an hour, but could only land it like 10% of the time. I believe it's a frame perfect input QCB1 that you have to do after the B2, 4 that comes after the knees. Would like some clarity on this if possible @Gwd Of Destruction. You can test the timing of it by keeping counter hit on, do the B2, 4 combo, then try to hit the QCB1 immediately.
Qcb1 is new for you guys ! I practice qcb1 with taunt ! Thats why my qcb1 is quick ! Practice on your qcb 1 ! And second ! Your qcf34 should bounce character higher ! Thats how you will connect qcb1 ! Its not simple b214 anymore !
It's definitely a tight link, it relies a lot on your dash > qcf3,4 to be crisp and keep them juggled high. If you are getting the high juggle it's just a matter of timing it just right after the f2,4 finishes The thing I'm struggling with the most is the dash > b2,1 because I keep dashing into jet upper ;_;
@@GHUJockmaster just delay it a little bit before doing back 2, I kept getting jet upper as well but remember you have a little bit more time to hit it than u think, u also have to be close to hit it, so use that little bit more time u have to dash close but not TOO close or it will whiff, focus on dash close enough then neutral then do B2, 1. Trust me u got more time than u think.

Could I learn to play this character as someone who just picked up tekken (not new to fighting games) or should I try another character ? I love his design
Play whoever you think is cool. I picked up T7 with Bryan and I struggle with all of these more optimized T8 combos. You'll probably need a lot more time in the lab with all the motions and mini dashes in the combos, but if you like that, go for it. Bryan is tight, but execution heavy and he lacks fundamental moves other characters take for granted in tekken. Maybe not the most optimal or fastest way to learn tekken but you'll get there if you work at it.
@@BBlaze. Thank you, I'll try to see how it goes. So far I have the execution right I think, the ony problem I have is that outside of lab I struggle a lot to find myself into the combo situations and when I have a good oportunity I often end up panicking and mashing the quickest buttons I know
@@adrianfr05 Bryan notoriously doesn't have great panic buttons or fast moves so it can be difficult to get opponents off of you. He likes the mid range and has great keepout though.
Blaze explained alot ! And I’ll add some ! Bryan is a tough character to use against all of this mashing ! Bryan demands you to be strong ! So get ready for all the suffering:3 Learn frame data ! Have plans ! And keep one cheap character in your arsenal ;) If you lose alot ! Then you can rely on that character ❤️
@@gwdofdestruction Thanks a lot for this! Can't believe you literally made a video for that and I missed it 😂 The QCF 3,4 I can land pretty consistently. What I'm having trouble with is the timing of QCB1 after the B1,4. I get downjabs a lot. I can't seem to get a grip of when the B1,4 animation stops and I can input the QCB1 🥲
@@vVize boss then you need to work on qcb1 ! Just practice it with taunt like I said ! You’re qcb1 will improve a lot ! And when I come online I start practicing qcb1’s ! Cause first few seconds I get down jabs as well ! So it’s just matter of time when it will be your in your muscle memory ❤️
Having trouble with the combo from f4,1 - when trying to get the tornado with d3+4, 2, the 2 doesn't connect, any ideas? Am I too slow on the qcf3,4 beforehand, or am i too slow with the d3+4,2?
I had a difficult time trying that one too, but I found an easier route for f4,1 that does the same damage: f4,1 > db2 > 1 > b2,1f > 2,4 > b3f > 2,2. Hope it helps :)
did the first combo get nerfed or something? I recently tried to pick up bryan but the b21 doesnt connect after the knees for some reason am I just doing it wrong?
Has there been a patch since this video? I’ve been practicing these combos for a solid 3 hours now and there are at least 2 of them that drop half way through every single time.

I’ve played tekken since T3 but always not seriously but now in T8 I wanna get good, be able to land long combos and aerials, any tips on how to get good with Bryan
@@Jxytoven first learn about your character ! What can i punish with ! What are my weapons ! From 10f to 15f standing ! Then read about opponents one by one ! Its a long way but thats how you improve its the first step ! First your own character then those characters whom you face on regular bases
@@Sway187 it help using the save state right before you spiral them in the combo. you can either learn to dial in the qcb1 by watching bryan end his kick animation or by looking the spiral arc of the enemy u sent flying (like after the peak is when you can dial in ur qcb1)
Your qcf34 should be on point ! If it bounces opponent higher ! Qcb1 will be easier to land ! I do it even in 3 bars ! Work on your qcb1 itself ! Practice it ! I was making a combo ! Taunt into qcb1 ! Thats why i practiced qcb1 alot !

Boss do dash deeply then straight go for b21 ! Don’t be like run up to the opponent and then another micro dash ! It won’t work like that! Either you dash too deep and then b21 or you won’t hit it :3
In tekken 8 recovery rate of moves are different ! It seems like theres still time for bryan to recover but bryan already recovered and ready to do the next move ! So this one was my issue plus ! Practice qcb1 alot ! Try to do it with taunt into qcb1 ! Once it starts hitting it’ll be easier! Even you can do it on 3 bars 👌🏻
You have to deep dash ! When the screw hits ! There are certain combo’s you can use b21 and some you can’t! The more you add hits the lesser it connects

Actually i did some really basic combo’s I’ve uploaded some mediocre advanced combo ! Already ! These simple but optimal combos were asked :3 thats why i did that
You mean b24 ! Its about the qcb1 ! You need to practice that ! Practice it once you get the hang of hit ! It will be easier for you ! Its nit difficult at all ❤️
@@gwdofdestruction I have been spamming it for the last two days and now I'm able to get it to hit 1/3 of the time so its a huge improvement. To anyone struggling, the kick in b2,4 takes a while to execute, which gives you a big time window to prepare for the qcb1. Just input b2,4 very fast and get your fingers ready for the qcb1 even before the kick hits. You have to be *really* fast with qcb1, just don't do it too early, start inputting when bryan leg touches the ground
