Yea, Hwoarang is talkative but he backs it up each time 😂 He’s the only character to beat Jin and Devil Jin. And he beat Steve in the Netflix anime lol 🤷♂️
@@masuzyo.g9715I highly doubt it him and raven are in the same tier of strength and devil jin out classes raven by a long shot matter of fact every mishima does.
What I love about Tekken is that character move lists are consistent for years across the series. For years me and my older brothers have each had a main we always come back to with each game. Eldest bro is Heihachi. 2nd eldest is Eddy. Middle bro is Lei. 2nd youngest is Steve. And yours truly mains King😂😂😂. Tekken is both our childhood and brotherhood, lots of loud nights while the wives and gfs each back their man and laugh while we duke it out.
It was that interaction in the Tekken 5 console intro that made them a team in Street Fighter x Tekken. Which is odd because there was no interaction between them in Tekken 5 itself.
I like that Steve combines the two British stereotypes: the gentleman and the punk. He is a young man with the manners and the heart of a gentleman but with the appearance of a troublemaker. Always my favourite video game boxer!
If they ever did a Street Fighter/Tekken crossover again, I'd love to see him get paired off with Dudley as a friendly rival and Balrog as the guy they both dislike. Give the fights between them a special intro to feel like a legit boxing match too.
His in-game model looks a bit weird, but the new animations are beautiful, very fluid and realistic, I haven't been this excited to play Steve since the PS2 days.
@@Ren-nu2cm You're setting a high bar for Tekken 8 comparing it to Tekken 5, it's probably not going to be as great of a game, if you want to enjoy it you should probably look at it as a step up from Tekken 7, modern Tekkens are not going to be as good as the PS2 ones.
@@ramboygamer3329And I think that's about the only thing that brought upon this semi-rivalry. Harada realizing he made an all-kicks, one or two punches guy, and all-punches, one or two kicks guy, and thinking it'd be fun to match up both. Because in lore they don't have anything going for them, to be honest. But at least their personalidade are fun when put against each other. It's what carries the rivalry and makes it look legit, because the flare of it all manages to convince you they actually have meaningful beef or something. But it's fun nonetheless.
I want to see an expert countering match between Steve Fox & Azucena, where neither opponent can get a hit in because both of them keep dodging attacks.
This trailer didn’t do a good job of showing how Steve’s evasive maneuvers work so I’m not sure. We could only speculate how he’ll play when the game releases. He should still have his dodging mechanics, so yeah. I would think that certain attacks from Steven can neutralize Azucena’s attacks and evasion, hopefully.
Honestly the power behind the punches and the weight feels great, screenshots make it look similar to 7 but playing the demo has really made it clear this is a significant step up
I liked it overall, but I feel like of all the presentations so far, Steve's is the one that fell the furthest behind. The voice came off a little emotionless, the combos don't look that great, and the special and interaction weren't as spectacular as I expected. Also his face is too round 😅 It was good but I hope they polish all those aspects a little more for the official launch
Steve is definitely going to be a top tier character with the new Tekken 8 heat mechanics favoring more aggressive play styles. Good counter attacks and crushes, I cannot wait to experiment the combos and setups.
One of my favorite characters in all of Tekken, I will admit his cheek bones look a lil funky, similar to Fengs T8 design, but overall he still looks like an absolute blast to play and he still the best boxer in all of fighting games.
Finally, they made a clinch that can function like a natural boxing clinch. It serves to reposition and damage at the same time and it looks like a new stance too in and of itself since it seems like he has options when he's in it.
I feel like they've never just hired a British VA. How hard is it to not be terrible? Steve seems trapped in some weird middle ground between an Aussie, an expat who just moved to South Africa or an American impression of British.
He's been voiced by the same British guy since Tekken 6, Gideon Emery. I think the main difference now is that he's speaking way more now than he did in the older games so it's actually noticeable this time.
1:40 So Steve’s punches are strong enough to make his opponents become spinning rag-dolls. This is why I love Tekken because that’s marvelous cheesiness that I crave.
@@jordanwalker3617leo's mother raised Steve when he was a child, as Steve was the test subject being experimented while Leo searches and continues the investigation after it gets the data from the laptop in the train(TTT2 Leo's Ending) regard to his/her mother as expected that the kid NT021 i guess thats the code or Steve in short was also connected for gcorps and mishima zaibatsu
I’m so happy that Steve is back but tbh I thought this outfit here was lazy, along with the voicing. Maybe I’m tripping? I just feel like the other characters look so much cooler than Steve could’ve looked.
And here come my boi, Steve's Gameplay and Rage art is legit fire and that accent is getting better day by day, even though he got a bit chubby so, It is what it is and I can't wait to throw them punches. 🥊
Yeah, I will literally never get bored of this: "Get ready for the next battle! Tekkeeeeen 8! Neeeeew challenger! [Instert character name]!" - It's just so fire🔥
Finally. Steve was my most anticipated trailer from the remaining characters, I love the gameplay. His special intro with Hwoarang is great, love to see them interacting. His face still looks weird but at least it looks a bit better than the first reveal trailer.
love his strikes in this especially the uppercut.(if they continue the connection to nina would love anna taking interest in helping him or being supportive to one up her sister only to actually care for him/leo interact with him considering their ties.:3)
@@tronjackson8187 Steve was born via in-vitro fertilization using an egg taken from Nina while she was cryogenically frozen. Nina is his biological mother.
@@TKZhyon Until revered ruler. I used to play King and when I played it in Tekken 8, I felt more complete in my way of fighting. It was a good way to improve the english boxing. Old main but I still play it.
"Steve Fox, the fighting prodigy struggling to be the world champion" I'll always remember these story lines from Tekken 5 when I always played and won with Steve
the grab from duck that puts them in a clinch is so cool, I'm guessing there will be at least 2 options to choose from for the next part of the throw. Steve is a grappler now XD
