For a DLC character we've only known for a few years.... Leroy already being announced for Tekken 8 just feels right? How does he fit this series so well!?
Liking how they match up Leroy with Xiaoyu in the trailer, Wing Chun vs Baguazhang /Piguaquan. A nice comparison between Southern v Northern Chinese martial arts. And it highlights the stark differences between the two regions' respective styles. Also interesting to see Marshall Law being featured too, as his style is a nod to Jeet Kune Do, which has foundations of Wing Chun.
No, we really don't. Bring back Wang Jinrei. At least the character was interesting. Leroy is boring, obnoxious and does too much for being such a simpleton

Leroy Smith is awesome! He's going to be a force to be reckoned with in Tekken 8! Thank you, Namco, for bringing us this awesome character in the next-generation Tekken!
@tedjo muljono Leroy is the most popular new character since tekken 4 or 5. T-pain cosplayed as him. Harada would've been an idiot to not add Leroy in the base roster. The same way it'd be dumb not to add Lidia or Fahkumram(or Bruce Irving).
Wow, I genuinely did not expect a dlc newcomer from the previous game to be such an early reveal, but I'm so glad because Leroy is one of the coolest new characters.
I am SO HAPPY Uncle Leroy is still gonna be in the next one !! as someone who actually does wing chun i just thought this was so cool to see when he debuted in Tekken 7 !!
Leroy was one of the of the better newer characters introduced in Tekken 7 because he actually looked like a martial artist who was using an actual fighting style, he screamed old-school Tekken and I mean that in the best way possible. His new look is looking good and it's nice to see him return. I look forward to actually trying him out this time around. :)

Witness the essence of wing chung!! And mid fight I realized that was what he was using. I love how tekkan puts every fighting style in the game, and soul caliber for them showing the different weapon masters

Excited af for this game! Looks so good, I love the Pride / Rizin style announcer as well. The combat looks so fluid and looks Ike it flows so nice. Mortal Kombat and Tekken have always been my favorite fighting games. They literally are so close neck and neck at being number 1 to me.
@@theedwardian wang doesnt do wing chun. he does Xin Yi Liu He Quan. also leroy is cooler than wang hence the positive reception of him coming back. when is the last time you heard someone ask for wang?
This trailer was a great surprise at EVO! Leroy looks incredible in with this new design and I can’t wait to see him in action! His moves look powerful and the addition of the cane in his moves looks awesome!

Yessir Leroy is on the main roster! He's one of my favorites in Tekken 7, he has those "The Last Dragon" type vibes to him. He's another fighter I've been learning and can't wait to dive into him more in T8. The drip is real!
Namco Bandai truly did martial arts masters justice in this game so far. Law looks absolutely amazing as Bruce Lee this time around, and Leroy truly has the spirit of Ip Man in his moves. This is shaping up to be a great game.
Agreed, the original rage art makes wing chun seem like a fist focused technique but this one has trips and kicks added to it, shame there's no elbow though
Yoooo his rage art with the Dragon animation? Sickkkkkkk. Leroy needs to come with the yellow caution sign, too much drip can be bad for opponents health. Love that new air throw attack and he has some of the dopest heat engager moves! The dripness of Wing Chun on full display!
@@josepartida1711 Leroy was in the anime. Leroy was also teased in the earlier T8 stage along with no. With lee and bob. Fahk is likely to comeback as well as Lidia. Their dlc was extremely successful. I bet they will b returning.
Harada always wanted a wing chun character in tekken even back then but the chinese-japan feud made it hard. It was actually surprising they finally got to do it in t7.
Leroy from the *Last Dragon* makes a grand return to the T8 roster, and this time he has "The Glow" , can't wait to play him when the game is released.

Ah man the costume designs are sooo good! As a Yoshi main, i dont mind Yoshi being the last to be presented. Everyone admits that Yoshi's costume is gonna be wild and everyone expects it in every release. Cant wait what designs he'll have
