Police interview witnesses.
"As Vaughn Bigelow Jr. had his hands up cowering in fear Mr. Webster placed firmly the barrel of that gun to the child's head and pulled the trigger ending his life," said Chief Deputy District Attorney Jennifer Prince in closing arguments. "It doesn't get more intentional and deliberate than that."
The boy was with his mother, Meghan, and two other brothers when they were involved in a road rage incident on Sheridan Boulevard on the way to their dentist's office, when she attempted to move over into his lane due to an emergency vehicle behind her.
She testified that Webster screamed at her and followed her into the parking lot of the Cedarwood Square Office Complex at 5150 W. 80th Ave. in Westminster. It was there that Webster pulled out a gun and shot Meghan Bigelow and two of her children.
She and her then 7-year-old son, Asa, were both seriously wounded but survived. Vaughn Bigelow was killed. Another man, John Gale, who was in the parking lot waiting for his daughter's dentist appointment was also wounded.
He pulled the trigger until there were no more bullets.
Jeremy Webster was convicted of 12 counts, including first-degree murder and numerous counts of attempted murder and assault. Ten sentence enhancers were also proven. On June 14, 2018, he shot and killed 13-year-old Vaughn Bigelow and seriously wounded several others in an office complex parking lot near West 80th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard.
Webster pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
"He had a mood disorder that began at a very young age and it progressed, as it does," his attorney said during closings. By his 20s, Webster had Schizoaffective bipolar disorder, she said.
Webster received life without parole for the first-degree murder charge and 48 years for each of another six counts, which will run consecutive to each other and to the life sentence. He received 32 years each for another four counts, which will be served concurrently, and 16 years for a final count also to be served concurrently.
"His own mind was betraying him for his entire life," his attorney told the jury. Webster did not speak at his sentencing. His attorney said they plan to appeal.

The sadness in her voice when she says she hesitated. An innocent, unarmed witness at work feels guilty she didn't stop a shooter. She will be traumatized forever.

I do believe this channel puts out some of the very best material in this genre. Thank you. You are my justification for not owning a television.

Rottweiler I so appreciate this channel even more after Idalia. We got hit back here in Valdosta and just got power back at our house yesterday. Been living with a generator but still no ac. Every evening I used my data to watch these and take my mind off all this craziness and it helps me realize things aren't so bad ...I could be going to prison for the rest of my life! 😂

The Suspect was new to Colorado and had only just recently met his Cousin. He wasn't honest with his Therapist and explained he was suffering from repeated nightmares. The Therapist might have prescribed Risperdol, an anti- Psychotic medication used in low doses for nightmares? He also mentioned to Detectives he had a Bi-Polar Disorder, which is a crapshoot and takes time to really diagnose this? There's a Plethora of Medications for the Disorder? Perhaps he was on an Antidepressant? None of these would put him on a register for not being able to have Gun Ownership? His actual History probably was an Explosive Anger Disorder not ever treated? If the Therapist had been able to access School Records, and speak with Family members prior to Treatment it might have helped the Suspect before this incident? Certainly stop him from owning a gun!

When the first interview ended & the detective said, "can you do me a favor?". My immediate instinct was 😳. I guess by habit I expect it to continue as, "can I get you to stand up..."

Whats the point of showing a 2nd view if most of it is just blanked out? That destroys the video.

Why did he have a gun? He had a mood disorder since he was young doesn’t that prohibit him from getting a license
@Prof.Tarfeather

It was not reported because he wasn't honest with his Therapist. Remember, he'd only recently moved to Colorado so he was unknown, even to his Cousin? Therefore, not properly diagnosed. It's a crapshoot. He was taking meds for a Bi- Polar Disorder. When he actually has an explosive anger disorder.

Could you possibly tell me how to get the interrogation video from the scum who killed my nephew in 2009?
@kali-wolf
@kali-wolf 10 месяцев назад
You submit a form to the government called a "Freedom of Information Act" request form. All this stuff, including interrogation videos, are government property. People own the government, therefore they have the right to access this data. But they make you fill out one of these forms, where you specifically request certain data/evidence. There's usually a fee for submitting the form, often around the $20-$45 range. It takes a while for them to process the request. The fact you have to submit a form, pay money and wait time is why RU-vidrs fight about stealing each other's footage (as they go through a lot to acquire it, and someone just rips it from their channel). You need to find which government department would have the data you want, probably the police department for your area, and then contact them and ask for a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) form. They'll usually be able to give you guidance on how to fill it out and what to expect.
