Every time I think I’m cool in my model 3 performance , a plaid pulls up and humbles . Also auto shift , sweet. Fave part about tesla. Walk up sit , drive. Stop , get out walk way. No “start” no unlock , no turn off lights or anything. “Smart car” just reads your mind.

Just a side note: the effect you see is amplified by the wide angle lens. Not trying to make it less impressive, just to be aware that the wide angle literally gives a distorted perspective on reality.

@@robblly8112 my point was just that a wide lens is misrepresenting distance When you use a side lens, it is like compressing more width into the frame, while the distance is stretched. Because the distance is stretched, it looks like that car behind is disappearing maybe 2 or 3 times faster, than a normal lens. It's still impressive, just not beyond the laws of physics.

When I reference the Rimac Nevera being "1 of 1000" at 04:45 I should have said "1 of 100," but even that would have been inaccurate; because (according to Google) Rimac Nevera production has been limited to 150 vehicles.

Butts is seats; the best way to convince anybody of Tesla’s capabilities. Last week I had my grandnephew (5) and grandniece (7) for the first time in my Tesla M3P. They were thrilled by the acceleration, the big screen and autopilot. They couldn’t stop talking auto the car whole weekend. They ❤ it.

In Norwegian we still (but not commonly) say "slå på tråden" (= tap/knock on the cord/wire/cable). There are multiple explanations to the expression, from telegraph to ancient landlines. Maybe you have to be 30 or even 40+ to understand it, but it's still being used.

Imho the best overall car ever, really practical and cheap to run, quite luxurious with all equipment as standard (amazing sound system, electric doors), a lot of tech incl autopilot or even gaming, faster than almost any supercar (also should do more than 200mph with speed limitor removed), good build quality with newer units, even capability for a little offroad...

Rimac only delivered one Nevera to a customer, until they deliver 25 of them it's not even a production car. But the Bugatti Chiron got the super sport upgrade a year ago so the model S Plaid is not the quickest production car on the quarter mile anymore. Still the quickest to 60

I have a Model 3 Performance and i love it, however im praying the updated Model 3 gets a "Plaid" trim with the current dual motor drivetrain from the standard Model S making it run low 10s or just a hair slower than the Model X Plaid. I couldnt order one fast enough.

Just to let you know, Tesla has the chill mode for daily driving that eases up on the throttle response and it becomes a lot less jerky when you apply a little more pressure to the acceleration pedal.

Rockin Roller Coaster is 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. Model 3 Performance is 3.1. I don't know what X is, but I think the Plaid S is 2.0ish.

I was inches away from ordering a new Model X Plaid to replace my old 2017 X100D this summer, but I managed to tell myself that it wasn't worth the money. I still enjoy my X100D every time I get behind the wheel. And commuting 25 miles to work each day on 40mph roads doesn't makes sense with a Plaid.

This was awesome....BUT.....if he wanted all the Model 3 had to offer in an suv I would baby step him into a Model Y or Model Y Performance to see if he liked that bigger style. Given the price difference between the 3, Y and X I think it's easy to convert people that way. The X is the ultimate and maybe other than the upcoming Cyber Truck you've raised the bar really high. There's no where to go but there now. But if your mission is to sell him on EVs and not just Tesla andnyou want to introduce him into the truck world then you may have to find someone with a Rivian R1T or a Ford Lightning. But I can also if you're trying to keep him in the world of Tesla given what they offer beyond the EV such as the charging network among other things.

Its always kind of hard in these videos to "see" the acceleration other than looking at the faces of the occupants but i must've watched the car behind out the rear window at 2:19 a hundred times just go from a full size vehicle to a match box car in 2 seconds...... then you could tell just how quick you were moving.....

I read somewhere that a king air 90 turbo prop has 500 shaft HP per engine. I’m not sure if the relation is 1:1 with the hp of this car but sounds like that car can fly 😂

We did all of the above, it just didn't make the final cut LOL He expressed that he will need the bench seat version for his family (so the MX Standard rather than the Plaid) but was impressed by the cargo space/frunk, falcon wing doors, helo inspired windshield, the "you've got your own apartment back there" feeling to the rear seating, etc. (We even discussed things like the safety aspects that he might need for convincing his better half) :-D

I believe the plaid X’s are doing 9.9-10.1’s in the 1/4 mile vs the Model S plaids doing 9.2-9.4’s. Just silly but the Model S is still worlds away from this sweet thing.
