This is just my opinion but, take it as you may, I think you should keep the SR or even if you can pay to upgrade to SR+ if it will ease you travels just a tad bit save the 15K or so. What ever you decide to do I support you. Keep those videos coming!!!!

Hey Marc! I take it you kept the SR? Would love to hear another update on the satisfaction of owning the SR compared to vin89 and your p3d. I've come to appreciate that the cheapest Tesla with modern features may in fact be the best one. Thinking about an Sr+ after selling my LR rwd a couple months ago.

Wow, that's some knowledge about the normal AP on your car. Our 3 has both EAP and FSD, so I can't tell the difference over it's updates in the past 9 months, especially pre NoA. My Mother's SR+ though... it has AP, but no FSD, so not a EAP. Now I want to see if her's does the same thing as yours, for the lane change. Our Model S has AP1 and it does Lane Change, but doesn't have NoA, since it's too old. Time to steal my Mom's car for some testing.

Hmmm. Is your time really worth all that cash (including taxes and fees)? Maybe just put the money down on a performance Y reservation. I would go big or go home. Based on your 89 to P3D upgrade, seems like you’re not going to be happy with LR either. Bump up that tire pressure to 45ish and maybe get a front spoiler to eek out some more miles. Also lowering springs. Why are the aero caps not on if you care so much about range? You can still make good YT content with the model most people can afford. I know that FSD and charge rates are tempting. When they downgrade your speakers you can still do aftermarket. You can also opt to upgrade to SR+ and get more battery.

I could live without nav on AP, but no lane change at all?.... Ouch. Was gonna say it'd be interesting to hear your experiences traveling with SR, but that basic AP.

I also have a SR M3 my car is software limited for 220 miles and I do not have maps with live traffic but my heated seats work and I have immersive sound. Under the Tesla icon it says standard plus but tesla rep told me it was already downgraded. I’m just curious if your car is the same? Extremely happy with it but also tempted about getting a long range although I don’t think I really need it, just nice to have for road trips.

I noticed your battery range showed 224 miles and it looked to be full or very close to it. Since you have not been downgraded yet, shouldn't it read closer to 240 miles? Maybe I just couldn't see the battery gauge close enough.

How much did you pay to get Autopilot from Standard range? And was it after Tesla downgrade your model 3? Paying only for autopilot kept you to get 240 miles? Is it intentional or do you think it's not supposed to be? Thanks!

Would be curious as to how much you can get for your SR with AP. I would guess that with the tax credit going down tomorrow, your potential customer base will be going up. How much does the guy want for a used LR with 12K? These cars really seem to keep their value. P.S. I haven’t been changed from SR+ to SR yet either. I know it will eventually happen but hoping Tesla drags it out 😂 When they do finally downgrade it, I might pay to upgrade it back and grab AP along with the extra miles. I suppose I will see how it is without the 20 miles first but honestly it’s not a true 240 range vehicle - more like 200. After they flip that switch I bet it stays about the same
