Loved the video and the lil Ruger machine gun but you do realize that at 8:40 you put your hand over the end of the barrel on a cocked loaded and ready to fire machine gun lol not a good idea please be safe with that thing but do appreciate you sharing thanks

He mentioned oiling the mags. I've seen a video by CRS Firearms outlining how storing ammo in oil soaked guns can lead to failures and squib loads. I would think a dry lubrication of graphite may be a better option. If the ammo does not get stored in the mags then that could be ok.

I have one drum mag, the GSG 110 rounder and it works pretty good in semi auto but fails miserably with full auto. So much so I don't even want to show it on camera.. double feed city.

@@ZackCarlson Thanks for the follow up post mentioning that you at least tried it. The progression of your '10/22' based builds has been insightful. The added commentary on the Kidd tang was also useful and another reason I'll keep watching the follow up videos.

i found polishing all the metal feed lip surfaces of the magazines that the cartridge contacts helps tremendously. what a irritating ordeal, but so great when they work. the 110 drum is so much fun.

Somehow add weight to slow that bolt down. Fast is cool, but not when it can't load rounds.

He said the bolt needs to move that fast n moving too slow is what caused the jam. That doesnt seem right to me but ive never been graced with a machine gun so he'd know better than me

It’s legal when you have the right licenses and paperwork. I always shoot at a private range and I think the neighbors are used to it by now.

There is a double spring upgrade for the Ruger BX mags, should help with the feed rate...

My experience with butler creek mags if you hold them forward so they cant sag they jam a lot less also just load 25. Ruger didnt make bx30s cause they couldnt get them to not have issues until they only had 25. They felt the weight was a little too much for the mag release

You could try a friction bar on the bolt to slow it down. A common feature in past.

The trick is the bolt needs to move freely enough to get it to fire on the forward stroke.

I had the same problem with one of my 10/22s, all started when I did a barrel swap to a 920 bull barrel. It was about a 5 year old gun at the time, but still cycled perfectly, and fed properly.... all until I put the new barrel on. Even when I would single load a bullet without a mag, half the time it would simply click when pulled the trigger

I'm by no means a machine gun expert but could replacing the recoil spring with one that has less tension help reduce the rate of fire? There by possibility increasing the reliability of the mags?

Try using dry graphite lube in your mags.

Some standard velocity ammo will slow it down. Fiochi 40gr standard velocity cci 40gr blazer would be cheap standard velocity. Sadly most companies have rebranded their standard velocity to target grade and charge double for it.

Its seem the 15rds mag is better than 25rds mag as I thought the spring in the BX25 mag does not design to travel such a curveture at such a short interval of time meanwhile it is not as strong as those real machine gun. Moreover, the BX25 mag is NOT designed for the use with machine gun ! !

He is going to say next time "i'm going to shoot at you full auto just wait about 5 minutes until I fix this mag problem." In 4-5 minutes I might have unloaded 30 mags shooting semi auto. Nice hoodie though. I never thought of using it to clean my barrel.

Potentially. But I got the Ruger mags to work fine with 25 rounds. I just sold all the clear mags.

You can get the charger and buy a binary trigger just as good. No special license needed.

Ruger factory are the only good mags. For semi. I get the feeling 15 rounds will be the only reliable good luck with the 25's bmx the only way to go

Hello, I was wondering if any SOT's have done an FA PCC build, given the commonality/similarity with the 10/22.
