The latch isn’t there for your finger to rest. It’s placed there so that the curling iron can sit up without the hot barrel touching a surface lol

I’m a stylist, the plastic bit at the end she’s talking about is meant to protect your finger AND keep the barrel off your table :)

I just got mine at Costco tonight!! I could have SWORN it was for the 360° (the one that auto-wraps your curls) but it isn't- the word "Twirl" on the box is counterintuitive; I guess I have to do the twirling. Either way, $44.99 at Costco for a curling iron that usually goes for $130 bucks online elsewhere or more depending where you buy them seemed rad to me. Gotta wait until Christmas, though!

@@jagerbaby0919 I didn't buy the Featherweight dryer, or the flatiron this time around. I already have a Featherweight in turquoise and chrome by T3 which I adore that I got at costco.com about 8 months ago, and I still have a flat iron still in the box from Hot Tools so I couldn't justify buying the flatiron, yet. Ha. Maybe next year!

@@jagerbaby0919 have you tried the T3 hot rollers yet? at costco.com they have them. I think they are on sale, too. But the ones they have at costco.com are not the jumbo size ones like you see in all the RU-vid tutorials which are the 1.5 inch rollers, and the 1 3/4 inch Jumbo rollers. I have the first generation of those (from Costco) and the second generation which is a little better with two heat settings. They truly rock, I can't recommend them enough!
