The velocity stack will be helping over the Pipercross. Also, Ramair’s ProRam filter is much better quality than any foam filter out there, even their own.
Good observation, the pleated filter will definitely be helping a little bit more than the usual foam filter... We also noticed the filter itself was larger than the Pipercross 🤔
@@DreamAutomotive 100%. I have their ProRam filter on my car. Also has an opening at the end of the filter, so being bigger it also has more access for the air to pass through. Interesting test 👍🏼
£260 is $506aud🤯 I made something similar for my fk8 that only cost me $100aud / £50 I ended up using a spectre brand cone filter with a 4'inch MAF housing from a GM LS3 did the job quite well.
Are your dyno numbers true WHP or are you calculating out driveline and accessory losses to get your numbers? Either way, it's pretty incredible. I also wonder if the Euro cars get a different tune than USA?
The pipercross is so simiar to this so i cant see why it should deliver such higher figures. From my experience owning many typeRs open cones in engine bay are awful.
