JSU needs 4 & 5 STAR Linemen. Once they get those recruits they can compete with anyone. There are plenty of recruits to get at those skilled positions.
I hope the tide is turning for HBCU’s but I don’t really see that. The tide would be turning if these talents were going to a school other than JSU. Now JSU has made a splash with the hiring of Coach Prime and coach has made a bigger splash in the recruiting game. But in order for the ride to turn other schools will have to start getting top talent. And if JSU continues their success two years after Coach Prime leaves, after his kids are done. Also the manifestation of his players getting drafted in the first two rounds would show progression. I would love to see more JBCU’s get charismatic coaches that could recruit and get a good coaching staff around them like Cam Newton, Michael Vick, I even say a Mike Tomlin can break loose from Pittsburgh with all his accomplishments he would be great for developing young men. I want all the HBCU’s to do better and for them to become the choice and reminiscent to when there was no choice in getting and producing talent.

But I do agree that I would love to see the talent stay home because when that does, then it brings an economic upturn that can then be reinvested I to the schools and communities and black owned businesses and talent off the field like construction companies. and media companies. Law firms and Attorney’s that do the contracts all the things we don’t see when we watch a football game

No disrespect! That Underground Railroad horror story was just that a made up story. The American Negros were running this country up until the mid 1800s. Georgia and most of the South had Negros in Congress and General Assemblies during the 1860s-1890. Georgia had a Colored/Negro Senator in 1870 (Jefferson Hamilton Long) ( Republican). You had the Original 33 in Camilla, Ga. Who were the original 33 Negro/Black Republicans elected to the Georgia Assembly in 1868. Mississippi had a Negro/Black Senator (Hiram R Revel) (Republican) in 1870. As well as Alabama, Florida, & South Carolina. Also, the all Colored/Negro city of Wilmington, NC was thriving heavily before it was overthrown in a coup in 1898 (VOX has a video about it on RU-vid titled “When White Supremacy Overthrew A Government”. Texas Republican Party was founded by 150 Negros and just 20 Anglo Saxons in 1867. Doesn’t match what we were taught. Also the US had mass immigration that you speak of from European and Asian nations lines up perfectly with the massacres/burnings/drowning of Negro towns and cities in the mid 1800s through the 1930s kind of like a coup of a Nation just as Wilmington, NC 1898. We were taught that the “Union Soldiers” were the good guys but when you research the “Devils PunchBowl” Natchez, MS 1865, you see that Union Soldiers corralled 100k Free Negros (Men,Women,Children) and locked them into a concrete wall concentration camp and worked and starved them to death. “The Union Army did not allow them to remove the bodies from the camp,” Westbrook explained. “They just gave ’em shovels and said bury ’em where they drop.” I would highly suggest researching all of the Massacres below and with what you know now with regards to the Negros Republicans in Congress 1860s -1890s, I would take a lot of the slave narrative with a grain of salt and look at thing from what seems to be a military coup. Will be visiting the Turkey Leg this week! Taylor’s Dad was one of the best DB’a to play in Texas High School and was a stud at Notre Dame as well. Will be rooting for Bobby at JSU and coach Prime is doing great things, love to see it! He’s building men with character and that’s not happening anywhere in the power 5 especially the S$C .
I want to see 5,4 ⭐ recruits go to other HBCU schools other than Jackson State. I love what Jackson State is doing. Since coach prime came I became a fan, but level the playing field in HBCU recruiting as well for all HBCU schools.

I understand this need to want the best players (like everyone else), but all of these comments about "playing only for HBCU'S" that I'm seeing all over the place can go both ways ..mbe careful what you wish for.
1. We should have NEVER hired Jimbo in the first place. Overpromising and now underdelivering. TAMU isn't going to find a coach - no matter how good they are, that is going to be able to restore TAMU to a path of greatness until they get rid of the boosters involvement, and the "dark money" that is going on up in College Station. They need to shut it down. 2. I was a HUGE proponent for once Prime's kids leave school - the day they leave school - TAMU should have a plan to recruit him BACK to Texas... he is a very very very different kind of coach. As much as I want this - and man it would be awesome seeing him here, because in 2-3 yrs he WOULD have a Championship team... it won't happen until A&M can get a handle on the back alley politics behind their program. The head coach they hire has to have FULL control of the program with as little interference and outside influence as possible. I'm not sure at schools like TAMU, UT, Michigan, Ohio State, etc that he could ever get that. 3. Prime will leave JSU once his kids are through. He has too great of a role and he likes that... He is at a different level in the coaching game. I'm not saying there aren't terrific coaches out there - but what he offers - he offers a fatherly like approach that most of these boys white or black don't have going for them when they get to the major programs. Look at A&M for example - Demas is a prime example. Someone should have roped that boy in - what an outstanding talent... doing what now? Sitting out in '22 while he handles "off field business" due to assault... and in '23 if he even does come back to play - which is questionable he won't be at A&M. I use him as an example because he's 5* talent, that should have had someone at A&M over top of him. I think Prime understands every aspect of the game - he's played it all - he's been on offense, defense, and special teams and himself been all-star caliber on every side of the ball he's been on. But more so - he treats the boys at JSU now with hard love, and like they're his sons. That's what lacks with a lot of these big time programs - especially in A&M. They are allowed to run amuck. Even though these are 18-19 yr olds coming in to your school, they're still not "real world certified". You can't just say you're here to play football - part of this needs to ensure that your investment in them pays off and that means you gotta teach these kids in their 1st or 2nd yrs just like you parent a child. Just dropping them in the system and hoping and praying isn't good enough - that's BS... That's why I love Prime so much - totally the opposite of that. He's providing structure for ALL of them - so that when they get to the end of their 4 yrs - the vast majority will NOT make it to the NFL. He knows that, but what they will have a terrific shot at - graduating with a 4 yr degree, going on to obtain their masters degree somewhere, coming out and working at a great job, having the backbone for providing an outstanding work ethic. He cares about the player more than the game... and it shows in the results on field. 4. A&M is going to have to go through a few rough seasons in order to make changes that keep their hands out of the cookie jar. That's just not a good school to be a loser at. When and if they can accomplish this - they'll have a chance to get a Prime in a year or so. 5. Stop signing these ridiculous contracts that fire these guys after a few years because you realize you hired the wrong guy and then wind up paying out $50M in contract that's still left. That's asinine. Get a guy on board for 2-3 years... pay a nice size signing bonus and then extend out from there.
I gave you a thumbs up because prior content but I suspected the headline was hype and after 5 minutes I am certain. One of those A&M players expressed interest in JSU but it is being said Prime doesn't want him because he doesn't fit the 5 qualifications
It's really not that hard to understand. You recruit an abundance of 4 & 5 star players. Each of these players has been the BMOC for @ least the last two years. They have consistently been told they are the best football player ever. Suddenly they arrive on a college campus & discover there are other good football players there. Some even have experience in the system. These players are men, not boys. The new recruits have to beat these existing players out of a job. If the can't, they sit. Many of these recruits aren't used to sitting & immediately start looking for somewhere else to play. I say, let them go. I'd personally rather see a bunch of three & 4 star recruits who are willing to buy into the system & work their behinds off as opposed to someone who won't
