You are the best. Wish more people knew about you. One of the few not feeding your own ego and marketing products. Appreciate you being down to earth but thorough with with education portion and precautions.
@@WVgirl1959It hasn’t got to do with how many people follow this man It is to do with helping people know about some of these amazing techniques that could help people who have tried some many techniques with no relief!!
I can't believe I found this. I have been almost unable to drive because of panic attacks. Whenever there was any traffic or a stop light, I would have a spike in anxiety. It was horrible. I only did these stretches a few times and went driving today as if it was nothing. Thank you so, so much. I could cry right now. I thought I needed drugs and intense therapy for my anxiety and now it has gone away like a puff of smoke. Thank you for all that you do. 💛
You explain so well and making sure we don't overdo . If there is some discomfort involved, you prepare us so that we are not alarmed...but stop and try again later.....excellent teacher.
You've really helped me tonight. I stumbled across your channel looking for help with severe neck pain at the base of my head and pain in my temples and scalp. I've had it for years now and I can no longer concentrate. The Doctor is hopeless. My neck has been out of whack for so long , I had lost all hope until watching this video and following your exercises. I feel a hundred times better. The brain fog and dizziness is easing. Fatigue is replaced with alertness and I feel alive again. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and can't get help anywhere. I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland. You're a hero. Thank you so much for helping me. I'm going to watch all of videos and try all of you exercises. I did the tongue exercises omg. I had no idea. I feel aligned again and it's helped with my hip/si joint pain. I couldn't walk properly this past week. Now I can. God bless you. 🙏❤️
Thank you so much sir. I am in so much pain. Ever since i took birth control 10 years ago, I get horrible back and neck pain every month a week before my period Its been horrible and my muscles get sooooo tight. I truly think this is helping me. Doctors always just tried to put me on meds. This is so much more helpful. May God bless your life.
Ok, ran across the tongue exercise about 40 min ago, Subscribed and just finished watching this one. @stopchasingpain so glad the tongue video went viral putting it in my RU-vid feed of things to watch. My whole life has been he!!ish pain. My jaw was crushed by forceps causing stunted growth of my bones...headaches my entire life until the age of 30 when I had my jaw cut out of my mouth for reconstructive surgery to even-up the two sides. Then came the 2 herniated disks in my neck and the amount of pain the in the muscles you named along with the holes (nerves) just above the collar bone by just touching them. I now have humped shoulders, lower back pain, poor circulation and inflammation just about everywhere in my body. Knowing that sitting around in pain was only giving me more pain, I started yoga about a month ago. However, because the two videos of exercises I've watched so far, I will be incorporating them into my daily routine. I will be watching all the rest of your videos too. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
More than over 20 years pain in my jaw and face. Never a good feeling in that spot. A long long road to find healing. I am glad I found your video. Wil try and do my best..... Thanks.
Ty! Crazy how , even if we do not hv the education, our bodies want to heal. I've been doing these type motions thru my 2yr healing journey, not knowing why!. Tysm Doc for explaining the science for me and confirming that I was giving my body what it wanted all along.
C5/C6 fusion 30 years ago. What you just taught me is invaluable as my biomechanics have been compromised and suffered with lots of muscle spasms and sore node points in neck and upper back.
Gosh you're an incredible teacher. The graphics and very clear, pithy description and instruction are top notch. I still refer to your Big Six and do it often. You're a real treasure. I very much appreciate you. As someone else mentioned, you are genuine and not egotistical. Thank you😊
Looking down at phone (or books or anything) causes so much pain when done too often or for too long. One side worse than another and just doing this one time released it!! The pain reduced so much it was amazing. Thank you thank you! Will take your wise advice re not doing more than 3x's and letting area recover for however long thar takes. Overdoing anything re my neck will always result in more pain. So grateful I happened upon your channel. Now I just need to do all the work!!! God bless you and thank you again.
I’ve been obsessed with working fascia from an exterior standpoint for close to a decade now and finding you a few years ago made so much click with the interior. So thankful for your insta and giving us small doses of useful exercises while scrolling (and to combat the effects of said scroll lol).
I can already tell from a minute into this video that it's exactly what I've been looking for. I can clench the hell out of this muscle and I've been looking for info on how to work with it for a few years now. Cheers!!! 🙏
Wow! Love this channel and this information. I think these exercises will help with my tmj and I'm thinking about how I can further incorporate this knowledge into my massage practice. Gonna take your online course soon as I have the money!
I just found you. You’re awesome! Thank you for this video. My neck is trashed and this is kinda what I do but your way is expanded from what I do now. Seriously, thank you! 😁✌️
@@stopchasingpain I’m just trying to stave off surgery for my neck and lumbar for a while longer. I wish for better technology than fusion. It’s out there but not main stream in the USA without loads of cash.
You are a literal godsend, sir! I woke up last night, something I rarely do, checked to see the time (3:30am) and saw this video notification. Said to myself, "huh, timely"(read story below), didn't swipe it away, and went back to sleep. Woke again by 5:30 am with pain and extreme stiffness (base of skull, down neck and shoulders). Managed spotty sleep only by resting the base of my skull on alternating fists. Arms took turns falling asleep but hey, I wasn't crying so that's something. I finally cannot stand it any longer and sat up to grab a pain tablet when I check the time and this video notification is still there. Played your video and tried these exercises, and got some instant relief! 🤯!! Mind blown! Thanks, Doc!
That was BRILLIANT! All of it...the Perfect to the point info...& the demo & tips! I could feel it ALL the way down my spine... Ive got a cold atm... & Im Sure I can See better Now...& my nose is clearer....Thanks! 🌟🙏🌈🙏🌟 Going to send it to my folks....Everyone needs to be doing this!🎉🧚♀️🎉
Best gratitude vibes to you. Thank you for caring and sharing. It just feels good that someone cares. Super informative and I feel stronger just trying this out.💫
Dude going to binge watch your videos. Got a disc bulge between c2 and c3. Been trying to fix scoliosis. I have been searching for you for so long. Thank you for making these! I work our my neck, but these video's going to help me get to the next level. I am excited to learn from you.
Excellent presentation and i admire your simplification fo complex concepts to make this engaging and practical. I teach QI Gong and some people, especially since there are so many non scientists who want evidence, you offer both which inspire the text necks from paralysis of analysis. No excuses, nothing works until you do it. Gracias
I presently have whiplash, more marked on the left than on the right, and was looking for something to help. Excellent explanation of why this is simple but powerful not just for whiplash, but for balancing our nervous system as well.
This video has to be divine intervention!!! Had whiplash in 2012....having alot of pain issues now with my neck, shoulders, fingers, and back. Think this is exactly what I need!!! Will look at your other podcasts as well. Thank you!!! 😊
Same! I've been dealing with sacral pain for 3 weeks and just the past few days, cervical pain and severe stiffness. Woke up to this notification and doing the exercises immediately brought a little relief!
You're abdolutely the best. I am a MD and also a liscenced acupuncturist, I work with patients with pain a lot and I share the link of your videos with the ones who knows English... I WANNA THANK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART🙏💙
Wow! I'm already sore, but I'm also not in as much upper back/ neck pain. Thank you so much!!! 🙏 I don't care what I look like, as long as it makes me feel better!!
This is so surprising for me. I got some energy explosion in my body last year which people call kundalini awakening in India. After that my body began to do all those movement which you are doing in this video. More naturally. Looked like a demonic possession at the beginning. It felt like I am attacked and forced to do these ugly and angry facial expressions. Later I realised that body got some intelligence to do these stretching to release trauma stored in these regions. This is divine knowledge which you are sharing with us. Much respect and gratitude to you doctor.
Great exercises, glad I found this. I have been dealing with neck pain for 20 years driving a truck for a living. I have visited Chiro, Massage, Physio with really no relief. Most of them think its the bigger muscles, SCM maybe ? . . . anyways, thanks for sharing excited to try these.
I watched this video yesterday and did the 3 to 5 reps and I was thinking to myself This probably not gonna make me sore, but I woke up this morning and put my moisturizer on and my neck muscles are tender to touch so this definitely works and I’m gonna continue to use it because I know those muscles in your neck also pull on your lower face and make your jowls worse, so not only are you helping people decrease their pain but you’re also helping people with aging and they don’t even know it. Thank you sir.
@@stopchasingpain ~ This exercise and parts of the explanation came in handy TODAY ALREADY for not one BUT TWO of my massage clients ~ WOOOOO HOOOOOOOO
Pull back on your occip bump, with your tongue on the roof of your mouth and breath at the same time...that's alot😂 I think for us that have been stuck in fight forever that's a tall order and absolutely perfect! Thank you so much for this, You are the BEST! ❤
Stumbled upon this 2 days ago. Thought it looked silly, but I tried it, because the info made sense. Uh….. I’m still sore! Must have been something I needed. Will incorporate regularly going forward.
You are so incredible! I think I told you before that I have a degenerative eye disease which causes eye flashes, vision, loss, and general muscle weakness around my eyes. I have been doing the tongue exercises and the eye flashes have diminished, and I feel like my eyes are even clearer. It would be so helpful for me if you could use more descriptive terms when talking about the exercises. I know this is difficult for light dependent people, but it would greatly help people who are vision impaired to understand the exercises. I don’t want to miss anything at all. I have a good knowledge of anatomy so usually I can pick up what you were talking about but I know a lot of people that would not be able to understand what you were talking about. I would like to share this with others who are blind, because People with vision impairments, have a tendency to have a head forward posture. You are the best! 32:49
Great, that makes a whole lot of difference in the front of my neck. Yesterday, doing some so called face yoga exercises, I was thinking about how to get my jowls under control. I felt with my fingers along my jawline to feel where the muscles are and noticed that it's just where these jowls form there are hardly any muscles! But there are muscles in the chin!! and with trying them I noticed that the only way to get them working is to growl like an animal🐯. Ha that's exactly what we decent people are not doing. And now your video pops up, and I see you growling... I'm going to do that, see if it improves my jaw line too. And close the mouth, put the tong up, exercise the tong, pull the tong, and not stick the head forwards ...lots of new exersices and things to think about! 😅❤
I can see the muscles right under the chin shift, such as bunching. I've been doing neck stretches for a long time without any change. I think the hulk vocals help.🎉
Even specialists don't under it, i have a jaw issue which puts my C1 out, i developed a web of platysma bands/knots that pull my head to the left in an attempt to stabilize my head. I have used botox to reduce them, my pain & dysfunction. The muscle lays superficially but it's function is not superficial.
Another banger from the doc! It never occurred to me how neglectful it is to completely ignore an entire facet of the nervous systems. The idea of having any "untrained" muscles is silly! Edit: What are your thoughts on jaw exercises despite crepitus at the jawline? referring to the finger in the ear test, I heard another doc mention avoiding repetitive jaw motions that are typical of jaw strengthening techniques.
Thank you very much. Jaw exercises are like exercises for any other part of the body. One exercise can help one person. The same exercise can make another one worse. They are all highly individual
Unbelievable! So amazing! I have kyphosis and in constant pain. My forward head thrust is bad. I found it a little tighter on the right than the left side- but my axis is out of whack on that side- pushing on my Eustachian tube and congesting my ear. I feel a bit tingly after doing these. That’s increased blood flow. And lymphatic drainage. The vagal nerve area in my right side is tender. Muscles are tender, and the salivary gland on that side clogs periodically. It gets uncomfortable and opens if I massage it. Interestingly, I sleep on my left side! So why? I did the big six after this, and I’m set for my day!
External Occipital Protuberance tip given at the end is the bombshell 🎉🎉🎉. I’ve suffered so much pain since 2008. I found your videos on leap day ❤. My wellbeing is just beginning! Miracles happen! Prayers are answered! I’m thanking God for you From my heart. Thank you for putting up this video. I am a RN that had to quit helping people because of Fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome. I will be passing on your knowledge and I can help others again by doing these exercises , being an example and sharing your caring! Magic is in the air. Blessings Dr. Perry
I just did the exercises and almost instantly bursted into tears and laughing due to the immense pressure accumulated over so many years. God bless you doc! You got a new subscriber here❤
You are right, Doc! I DID 5 EACH OF THOSE EXERCISES AND WAS SO STIFF FOR 5 DAYS THAT I COULDN'T EVEN THINK OF DOING THEM AGAIN! However, now knowing the benefits...Im only doing 3 today since i don't want to be so stiff this time! Also, since you have so many subscribers would you please limit adds to the beginning and end... there are way too many & it interrupts the learning process Thank you! ❤
Every morning I feel nauseated. Everyday I’m have pain in the right side of my neck when I wake up the pain is worse. I developed panic attacks that caused me to have breathing issues and 1 months later had made me have esophagus spasms followed by anxiety on daily. I believe this is my vagus nerve and this was caused by gamer neck and just bad posture for 35 years. I need help.
Thank you for this video. Now i have found something to relax the muscle Just above my collarbone. I will be very carefull not to overdo it. Because i have serious neck issues. Hope i can "chase the pain" away 😂
I’m going to start these today. The past month I’ve had an issue with tightness in my neck and upper back muscles but then it was causing some discomfort and pain to my left shoulder my left elbow and now my index finger on my left hand is almost numb, tingly like it’s going to fall asleep, and sometimes my arm is like that too. I go to a very good chiropractor, but he has been unable to help me fix this yet, it’s really bothering me to have the numbness and tingly feeling. I was following along and took my chin down to my right shoulder, made the face and brought it up diagonally to the left and when I got up to the top, it didn’t cause pain, but it triggered that tingly falling asleep feeling in my left arm. Obviously that’s something but I’m not sure, what’s happening. Thank you for these exercises.
@@stopchasingpain wasn't expecting (despite your warning) to have quite so much platysma soreness after this lil sequence haha, highlighting the room for improvement that can be worked on, this one is going to be a regular focus!
