If you have plantains in your local market, try this authentic Thai recipe known as Kluay Tod. Simple to make and super delicious for an afternoon snack.
/INGREDIENTS for 6 plantains
6 plantains or Raja Pisang
30g rice flour
36g all purpose flour
55g sugar
15g desiccated coconut
11g sesame seeds
1/2 tsp salt
125ml water
oil for frying
How to make: Slice plantains into half. Add all dry ingredients in a bowl, add water bit by bit until you reach a semi runny consistency. Mix and coat the sliced plantains evenly and deep fry for 3 - 4 minutes on each side until the colour turns golden. Serve hot.
