I've never considered myself a country fan, but I'm a super fan of Toby Keith. He was always a huge support for our Military. My daughter had just turned 18 and was deployed to Iraq. When I would talk to her, her little bad ass would never admit to having any fear. But she couldn't hide it from mom. I knew it was a scary place to be. She called me, excited because she had just seen Toby Keith and there was a different tone to her voice; more relaxed. For that I'm forever grateful for Mr. Keith. America lost a true Patriot when he passed. Thank you for your service Mr. Keith!
Being patriotic is not the same as being political. Some people don’t understand that. Toby always said at his concerts “Don’t ever apologize for being patriotic. F*ck ‘em.”
When my son was deployed he got to meet Toby and attend a concert he performed for them. Toby will always hold a special place in my heart. RIP Toby 🇺🇸
You’re not a sell out or an Uncle Tom simply because you love your country. It’s really easy for people to hate and judge while they are living in a first world country or while someone else has died for their freedom. Keep your head up and don’t be discouraged. If God is for you who can be against you😇 p.s. Thank you for your family’s service🫡🇺🇸
If you noticed, Toby was playing this song to our troops overseas. He did over 200 shows and on his own dime. He worked with the USO, but of course our US Congress does NOT fund. That's why Toby was in different outfits over different tours. He wrote this song after his father passed away in March 2001 and then 9/11 changed everything. Toby did not want to release it to the public. He wrote it for our military, but when word got to the Pentagon -- they wanted it released to the public. RIP .. Toby
Your laugh, smiles, and attitude are infectious! Patriotism should not be defined by color and those idiots who are trying to change America need to travel to the countries they want to emulate and educate themselves. This song was written after 9/11 about the terrorist attaches on American soil. God Bless Roby Keith-a true patriot.
Respect to all of our Military!.. We can sleep in peace because of their sacrifices. Ppl need to realize that. No one should ever disrespect our Military. Be thankful for them. RIP Toby.. this is a song that brings me chills every time I hear it. and should to every American.
Both of my Grandfathers in WW2. My father in Viet Nam. My brother Army Ranger, deployment 3 times in 'secret' war..... Toby was a, most most, supportive & patriotic singer ever. He's so missed❤❤
There is honor in serving our country and there is honor in respecting our military. The sacrifices they and their families make is one some will never understand. I'm proud to be an American. I love this country but am embarrassed by our government. I wish those people that hate our country would go live in different one. There is no other country like America. I really enjoyed your reaction to this terrific song. You'll only be called names because of their ignorance or lack of respect. Stay true to you. Never let a small person bring you down. Just say a prayer for them and hand it over to God. Toby Keith was a gem. RIP TOBY. Please react to American Soldier by Toby Keith. It's incredible too.
No one should ever apologize for being patriotic regarding their own country. For multiple decades, patriotism was a large part of society's culture. Canadians are having similar problems. Some people in recent years have even been deliberately not celebrating/ attending any festivities due to events in our history occurring long ago. This year on Canada Day (July 1), I had more optimism watching the Blue Jays (baseball) game. While viewing (game), I couldn't help but notice so many more enthusiastic citizens this year who were celebrating heritage. It's very inspiring. Giant flags everywhere, a band performing covers of Canadian bands, lots of people in the military were featured, and the crowd loved it. I realize not everyone in either country (USA and Canada) shares that negative opinion. Many of the younger generation are projecting those views. Politics and just plain Woke idealism have been spreading propaganda about this topic all over social media. You do not strike me as a sell-out at all, just proud.

I have a lot of respect for our soldiers, whether they're active, vets or not with us anymore. My father served in the army for a long time & did 2 tours in Vietnam, his father also served as well. My brother has his flag, what's funny is we thought it was my father's but when brother had it refolded to put in a case, he realized it on had 48 stars on it. I have uncle's & cousins that served as well so when I saw this video the 1st time it made me proud that Toby Keith went on tour just to sing for our soldiers. RIP Toby, we lost a wonderful man, singer & patriot. He may be gone...but will NEVER be forgotten
Toby Keith had so many great songs so whether you need to hear something heartfelt, patriotic, romantic, sad, melancholy, inspiring, thoughtful, or just plain funny, yeah especially funny, then Toby’s got what you need. My favorite songs by Toby Keith are Who’s That Man; Wish I Didn’t Know Now; You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like That; He Ain’t Worth Missing; We Were In Love; Upstairs Downtown; Don't Let the Old Man In; How Do You Like Me Now; Made in America; I Wanna Talk About Me; American Soldier; Trailerhood; A Little Too Late; A Little Less Talk and a Lot More Action; and of course Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue. RIP Toby, we miss you!
I’m sorry you lost your good friend. There are so many tragic stories like this one. I wish every American understood the price that has been and continues to be paid in blood for the freedom and prosperity we all too often take for granted. Even now, with the economy spiraling out of control, we are so much better off than a significant portion of the world’s population, past and present. Never apologize for loving this great country. God bless America!🇺🇸
I'm from Nebraska, I lived in Tx 12 years. Back in the '80s. I'm whitey-tighty. Most of my friends were black or hispanic. it was no big deal? We did stuff together. We loved our companionship? There really wasn't any rasiscm back then. We all got along. I truly hate what this country has become, so divided? In my little town of NE. When I was growing up, pop. 3400, there was one black family. My dad was friends with the guy. They played pool together.I remember the first time walking downstairs. Every wall was covered with Ebony magazine front covers? I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. The family was welcomed by the whole town. No big deal? I realized they really must miss there own. There was no rascism. Even in Houston in the 80s. I hate the divide we have now. I'm back up in NE.Those times in Houston were the best of my life. Good Luck and God Bless.
My husband is a disabled Veteran. 27 years in the Army and 7 tours over seas. Sadly he had to have a biopsy on a tumor found in his brain in 2016. It triggered a stroke and then he was diagnosed with CNS Lymphoma (brain cancer) 2 weeks later. Thankfully his cancer has been in remission since 10/2018. Unfortunately one of the side-effects from the steroids they gave him during chemotherapy is "bone necrosis" (meaning parts of bones start dying). He's still doing okay. The ends of all 4 bones going into your knees were dead and he needed 2 total knee replacements (fun during Covid Lockdown). Now he needs 2 total hip replacements. Just waiting to get those done now. Loved your reaction 🙂
Our church helped bring over refugees from Laos. I quickly became best friends with Pao Yang. Our small town helped him to grow? He is now a Master Chef in a 4 star restaurant in California. I love all people as well. I'm not against immigration - as long as it is done legally. The stuff going on nowadays must be stopped.
God Bless, and Thank You to all that have served, and continue to serve. And no matter how you feel you have to have some thanks, because you have the right to protest because they have died for it.
When someone says you're a sellout, you tell them there are over 130 countries to move to and plenty of planes to get there with. There are plenty of people who would be glad to take their place. Have they seen the border? You keep on keeping on.
@JBLETHALTV NOT a thing wrong with loving our Country. I wish all these Americans who hate out our Country would WAKE UP. Or leave. They should go see if they can find somewhere ‘better’ than America. There is no better place. Proud of you young man. You are wise beyond your years! Chin up my friend! 🇺🇸
I am thankful to anyone who served the country & the service members & their family sacrifice. I am very proud of my grandfather (WWII), stepfather (Vietnam), father (Persian Gulf) & uncles who served in military. Even to this day I still remember my father leaving for the Persian Gulf.
I don't know if you heard it yet but you need to react to Toby Keith's farewell song don't let the old man in that's the last song he sung before he passed away
Bro, you’re not an “Uncle Tom” you’re an American! That’s what we’ve lost. I lost my best friend in Afghanistan, we were always called Cornbread and Cajun. Obviously me being from Iowa and him from Louisiana. I’m so tired of everything being about race. We’re ONE country! Do you honestly believe the rest of the world is dividing us up into race? They have zero fucks to find when it comes to the color of our skin. Same as we felt in the military. We didn’t give a shit if you were black, brown, green, purple… the only thing we knew, was we were the baddest mother fuckers on the planet, and we stood together no matter what. All this identity bullshit is setting us back 50-60 years. We’re better than that! We’re all better people. Let’s move forward and be strong as one country!
Black people care about the same things white, brown, green, and purple people care about: security in all its forms. Thank you for sharing. Thank you to your family service members. Next time someone calls you an "Uncle Tom" (who I have been told was actually an admirable character), just say "Thank you" and smile.
I don't see color either. As a Christian were not supposed too. We are Souls in Jesus's eyes. Don't worry about people who call you names That on them.
