I so want to see this, I remember watching Grindhouse and seeing the fake trailer and thinking that would be awesome. Hard to believe we had to wait 16 years.

I saw it Friday night with a pretty packed crowd consisting of way more teens than i would have expected. And even though they rudely talked way too loud most of the movie, I didn't mind like I usually would because the crowd as a whole was so much fun laughing and jumping and screaming and cheering that it made the movie that much more enjoyable. 100% recommend a theater watch and 100% will watch this every year.

I’m glad that Eli Roth is back to top form. He seemed to lose his mojo after the first Hostel movie. I will definitely check this movie out in theaters.

Thanksgiving is a fun mixture of Halloween, The Prowler, Happy Birthday to Me, Out of the Dark, Mute Witness, Scream, My Bloody Valentine and I Know What You Did Last Summer. It is a love letter to horror fans.

This movie was great. It was a great slasher, solid humor and amazing kills and gore. Why did it take Eli Roth so long to make his great slasher. I can’t wait for the sequel.

I thought it spent too much time with red herrings and the whole whodunnit portion of the film that made the film drag a bit and had me thinking about it much more than I should have. Made the ending kind of bad for me, personally. Still a good time though! Hope it does well so we can have another one. I’m surprised at the lack of talk of how it plays with I Know What You Did Last Summer. The float scene in particular was straight from IKWYDLS.

I finally watched it tonight… I thought it was entertaining and bloody fun. I agree on the jump scares. I usually don’t try to guess the killer during a movie, but decided to do it this time for fun along with the red herrings and out of my list I got the killer in there lol… Some of the scenes gave me I know what you did last summer vibes. specifically being in a small town… the parade scene and the final bedroom scene. Love any slasher that gives me the feels of the 90s. I’ll definitely collect this one on physical when it’s out, especially since it’s been green lit for a sequel! Also thought it’s interesting that Patrick Dempsey plays a cop in this and in the Scream franchise (well a detective in Scream 3 and Sidney’s now husband 😂)

Hi Chris, looking forward to watching Thanksgiving. A film I saw recently was called 'God Is A Bullet' a horror/thriller which I really enjoyed, and think it deserves a wider audience. It's a about a vice detective who's ex wife is murdered and his daughter is captured by a gang of feral tattooed satan worshipping cult members.There is nudity blink and you'll miss it, no sex a ton of profanity and a ton of brutal violence. I would be interested to hear you're thoughts on it and how many couches you give it.Hope you like it ? Thanks Chris always enjoy your movie reviews.

Not a fan of Eli but this was fun. Preferred the first two act and then the 3rd act Eli did what Eli does. Still a lot of fun. Looking forward to chatting to you about this one.

Sorry, but all the young twenty something (alleged) actors/actress's really got on my nerves to the point that, after the first 15 minutes or so I just didn't care anymore and wanted the film to end as quickly as possible!! Sadly it didn't!! If any of those people have had an acting lesson in their life, I'll be thoroughly shocked, that's how bad I thought they were!! I've really enjoyed all of Eli Roth's movies thus far, but I honestly thought he dropped the ball here!! The stampede/riot scene was brilliantly staged and really got to me, possibly because it showed the worst side of selfishness and human nature at times, but for me, after such a superbly executed affecting and disquieting scene, it went rapidly down hill after that!! The pacing was way off point, 5 minutes of a good build up to a kill, then 15 minutes of annoying, grating characters arguing and chatting bubbles on repeat!! Was Eli going for a late 70's/early 80's B movie slasher feel here?? It felt like it to me, but having seen the likes of Happy Birthday To Me, My Bloody Valentine and the original Prom Night numerous times, I hate to say it but he finished up way short!! God, the acting was awful!! What a missed opportunity!! 4/10 and that's all for the riot/stampede scene!!
