I learn playing tennis by watching tons of tennis coaches and ATP players slomo YT videos...i can afford to pay a formal tennis training in many tennis clubs in our city but im enjoying the experimenting of tons of tennis strokes and that was 7 years ago since i started but your videos is more compelling, simpler, and more in execution than just talking...keep up the good work! 💪♥️

It is my understanding you need to hit the ball on the rise. Sometimes, I hit it too late and it's too high for me to get any spin on it. It's so tough to me to hit it at the exact right height when it's coming at me. Also if there's a lot of pace it's hard for me to get set up correctly.

Some good stuff there... advanced players will be able to follow this great... lower amateurs, will be tough... wrist lag is the #1 source of power in any hitting sport.... tennis, golf, baseball... legs help expedite that process as well as the torso... Anyone who doesn't get this, go watch a wheelchair championship at a major... they strike the ball harder and better than any amateur under 5.0. Watch golfers hit 250 yards on their knees, but ask them to do that with their wrist taped up, they will not even try it. The kinetic chain is for one purpose... to make the wrist do what it was meant to do, and it can still do its job even without a chain... that's how I always explain it.

@@mihiracharya5484 .. there are far better tennis tutorials than this channel with proper coaches who know how to explain tennis technique and demonstrate it. This hyped up presentation has no substance - neither of these two can really hit a ball properly. Where does it show them actually demonstrating a decent rally from the baselines - they can't do it - probably couldn't maintain a rally of more than 20 shots.

I would not advise an open stance for aggressive shots! However, the open stance is commonly used on the return. But we will see the pro's using a semi-open or closed predominantly as it facilitates greater forward weight transfer!

Pure Gold. Tennis is not an arm sport! But could you do a video on the role of the off-arm on this aggressive swing?
@GrantVanderHayden
@GrantVanderHayden 2 года назад
YES Nabeen! The role of the off-arm is actually quite simple - you want it stretched across the body (pointed towards the side fence/parallel to the net) and then as you accelerate from the legs and turn the trunk you will tuck it in.

Can you mention me the strings what you are using ?
@CMao54
@CMao54 2 года назад
semi open gives you more rotational power, and your body would not be locked up by neutral stance. Having said that, you can use neutral stance if you want to hit the ball down the line, or provide translational power , but most of the times for the modern game, you should use semi-open stance

You show how to use the legs and the big muscle groups, which I agree is an important fact. But the girl doesnt use the pressure from her legs. She has a nice forehand, absolutly ok, but she uses much more rotation energy from her hips and shoulders.
