I still consider myself a novice rider after only a couple of years and close to 6,000 miles so far. I am not too bold to say I don’t know enough. I enjoy watching, listening and practicing these techniques often. Thank you for posting to RU-vid all you have posted allowing many of us who don’t have access to training/skills schools to learn more. As always, ride safe!
#3 was the video that got me to tighten up my slow speed turning on my Wing with practice, practice, practice. (After you called me out in all honesty)…. Keep up the good work. Your channel is extremely valuable.
Thank you for making this collection . I had seen them all when posted hardly think I miss your work but truly grateful. I wish you every blessing into 2022 from a wet and damp UK. Where gortex winter wear goes on from late September to mid March, but still smiling. Stay safe Terry
Always fun stuff to watch, I tried my luck on a parking lot Christmas afternoon was only able to U Turn in 3 parking spaces 27ish feet got so much work to do and cold wet or even frozen weather is the worst time to practice
I live in Brooksville and would love to go take your class one day and if I can go on a weekend I may be able to soon, but I'll definitely be getting the videos. Thanks for all of the content and advice on riding!
I would have to vote for #5 "Afraid of dropping your motorcycle? Watch this!" Something I'm still working through. Thanks for the videos and courses, they have really helped me and I continue to work on my shortcomings.
Happy New Year Jerry and Donna! I want to get down there to take a course with you guys in 2022. A few people I practice with up here where I live have done your course down there. I'm one of the riders at NOVA cone camp. I've been riding for 26 years next spring and practice as much as possible even though I learned to ride doing the same stuff you teach when I went thru police motor school many moons ago. Two things I always keep in mind, "practice, practice, practice" and don't get too cocky, because when you do, the motorcycle will humble your azz. Ride safe everyone and Happy New Year to all!
Hi Jerry and Donna! Happy New Year’s ! My vote is for #7 . As I have seen a rider ride off the road . My personal issues are really a fear of dropping my bike . That’s because I haven’t conquered the technique of picking it up. So fear of dropping causes a little fear of leaning so as not to drop the bike. I have practiced the riding techniques and am getting better since taking your course and practice with my own cones and friends. I have even sent you videos of my progress. Thanks you for your help and input. And again a speedy recovery for Donna!
HAPPY NEW YEAR Jerry and Donna . Thanks for all the great videos. Who would have thought I would be still riding my bike at the end of December in Pittsburgh.
Happy New Year Jerry and Donna! I have been riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles for 50 years. I only stop to eat and use the restroom. LOL Never too old to learn.
Dear Motoman: You have a new subscriber. I found your videos when searching for information about how to drive a motorcycle correctly; I'm 55 years old and planning to buy my first bike next year!!!... Yeah. I have no doubt that safety and training are the foundations so my motorcycle training will start on January 2022; I'm very interested to buy your videos and wondering if you ship internationally. Greetings from Monterrey México. 🇲🇽
Happy New year Jerry to you and yours. I would love to see you do a video on how to properly avoid an obstagle. Say you pretend to come round a blind corner and there is something in your path. Iv seen so many videos on this subject that shows how the rider "had to lay her down"
Honestly if I dropped my bike in a MC course they’d have to supply me with a crying towel. I’ve ridden motorcycles since I was 8 yrs old and even after all these yrs I know I’m rusty and that comes from weekend riding only. Some days I’m on my game and other days I’m like a rookie.
Video suggestion: I'd like to see slow speed tips/tricks video on maintaining even/steady throttle control. Also, the same tips/tricks but for when your right wrist during full lock right. That's tough and a lot of beginners have trouble with that.
I knew it wasn't my riding skills that was the issue. I own a Goldwing DCT and you identify it as the hardest bike to ride slow. Need lots of practice before I even come to your class so I am not "that guy" in your video ;) And to make matters worse, drop protection on the Goldwing very poor on a $30,000 bike. Doesn't inspire confidence.
Love your vids my slow riding has improved out of sight since I've been watching and practising. I am wondering if you could do some of your slow manoeuvring skills videos on grass, gravel and or dirt. It would be great to see these and how the techniques change on those surfaces or are adapted to. Thanks so much. Also how does someone in Australia get a ride like a pro cap/hat? Cheers motorman.
Jerry, you’re the best, honestly. But I gotta be straight with you, 95% of your viewers (in my opinion) do not own a DVD player. I don’t and haven’t for years. The last DVD I purchased was from my wedding almost 9 years ago. My point is, you should stop advertising your DVD’s for sale and try other online avenues. I think It cheapens your all around message and image when you flash that DVD for sale. It’s totally not necessary. we all love you for your RU-vid videos so stick with it and perfect that. Sincerely, Oren.
If 95% of my viewers don't have a dvd player, why are my dvd sales still 50% and 30% downloads and 20% USB's'? I appreciate you explaining my business to me though. No, seriously, I do.
