Super Smurf Brother shadow would be a very good choice by sakuri and sonic needs another saga character with him. if they could turn little mac in than they can do it for shadow is well
supersingh147 Nintendo would just be giving sega soooooo much support if they added shadow, and Nintendo wants there economy to be strong, cause you know who doesn't like to be the best. plus we should be thankful that sonic is at least, IN the game.
Let's see.... First it was Little Mac, Megaman, and Shulk (Ghiraham as an assist trophy) in Smash 4. Now it's Ridley and King K.Rool (Bomberman as an assist trophy) in Smash Ultimate! Sakurai, are you watching CJ's old videos?
And Pac-Man as a first choice before Tekken was concerned back when Super Smash Bros For Wii U & 3DS was developed by Namco. Really lost hope way before Kazuya was announced.
Lol.. I can't believe half of your top 10 fighters actually became an fighter. #10, #3 and #1 All became an actual fighter while, #9 ended up still being a boss and #7 and #6 became Mii fighter costumes. That's amazing.
I'm not sure why, but this 7 year old video still sticks with me. Little Mac, Ridley, K. Rool, Mega Man, Pac Man, and Shulk all ended up becoming characters. That's half the list, plus another likely character that was mentioned in passing. Not to mention that Girahim, Saki, and Bomberman are all assist trophies. It's also funny that most of your moveset ideas came to fruition. Shulk's monado arts, K. Rool's exact moveset, Mega Man's leaf shield, Ridley's claws wings and fire, and Mac's punches.
This is the most agreeable and realistic Smash Bros list I've seen and it still relevant in 2014. While you do have three unlikely picks, K. Rool, Bomberman, and Lloyd, they are only unlikely due to relevance of their last games and definitely not some ridiculous passion pick, and you even admit that too. I know these list are personal, but realism is something I admire when picking characters. It makes the discussion more relatable if I I'm not filled with blind passion for a character someone else may like. Gets you thinking more.
I pray for Shulk, and nice job on predicting! You're choices are by far the most reasonable I have seen and closest to who I would like (aside from Ridley). :D
2:57 (laughs ass off so hard, it reaches orbit) Seriously though, Ganondorf is a staple of the Zelda series. Ghirahim was the boss of the game that not a lot of people liked. Unless something major happens, Ganondorf isn't being replaced. Especially by _that guy_.
I honestly want to see Midna (Twilight Princess) or Krystal (Starfox adventures) make it in. Not only do we need more female characters, but both could have pretty cool move sets (Midna's being based on her hair magic - no, I'm dead serious - and Krystal's being based on her staff) maybe their final smashes could be (a) for Midna- turning into her true form with crazy attack power for a short amount of time, and (b) for Krystal, unleashing a really strong attack from her staff.. That's all I can think of.
umm... did I say he was unrealistic? In fact if you check out the list I did for viewers to vote for I said "his chances are looking better and better, but probably as DLC." Edit: Okay I did say "unlikely even though I want him in" in this video, and to be fair, this was for 3DS and WiiU.
This list has aged very well. Almost all of these characters are now playable, while the one that aren't are still in the game in some form, like Bomberman and Lloyd!
It's funny going back and watching these videos! Before Smash came out, I'd have thought "Shulk? Not possible. At all." And now, hey! He's in! Who would've thought?
From the Sonic series, I want to see Shadow & Knuckles. Shadow's final smash could make him do a huge chaos blast blasting everyone one the screen, and his move-set could be based off his chaos powers. As for knuckles, his move-set could be based of his powerful punches, and his final smash could be that he punches the ground, knocking everyone on the ground out of the screen and everyone else to be stunned for about 5-10 seconds. You got to admit that would be pretty epic! The only thing going against their chances of being in SSB4 is that they hadn't been playable in a recent Sonic game.
What I think K. Rool's moveset would be: Pummel - Some boxing glove combo Forward tilt - Belly Bash or a punch Up tilt - a headbutt probably Down tilt - Tail/Cape swipe (tripping) Dash attack - Charges with crown pointed forward Forward Smash - Boomerang glove Up Smash - some sort of uppercut Down Smash - Pounds the ground Neutral Aerial - some sort of spinning claw thing Forward Aerial - an aerial kick Back Aerial - cape swipe Up Aerial - aerial crown headbutt thing Down Aerial - Swipes downward with his blunderbuss Neutral Special 1 - Shoots a chargeable cannonball Neutral Special 2 - Shoots a spiked cannonball that pierces Neutral Special 3 - Shoots a poisonous cloud that can stun or freeze Side Special 1 - Charging Uppercut Side Special 2 - Shoulder Bash Side Special 3 - Slippery charge Up Special 1 - Heli-Pack (From DKC3) Up Special 2 - Screech Up Special 3 - Bouncing Heli-Pack Down Special 1 - Shockwave Down Special 2 - Multi-waves Down Special 3 - Burying Shockwave Grab - Blunderbuss Vacuum Grab pummel - Headbutt Forward throw - Crams opponent into blunderbuss and fires them away Back throw - Tosses into air and hits with blunderbuss Up throw - Throws upward and then shoots a cannonball at them Down throw - Throws opponent down then ground pounds them Final Smash - Perhaps he becomes invulnerable while he shoots a barrage of cannonballs, spiked cannonballs, poison clouds, all in a random pattern, ending with some large cannonballs dropping from the sky like in the first DKC I'm just theorizing how he would play if you have a difference of opinion then I'm ok with it and you could possibly come up with some of his moveset also. Clearly the possibilities are endless with the Hogwash.
This is what said Sakurai about Ridley being a fighter: “I definitely know that Ridley’s a much-anticipated name for fans, but if we made Ridley as a fighter, it wouldn’t be Ridley any longer. It’d have to be shrunk down, or its wings reduced in size, or be unable to fly around freely.” “Providing accurate portrayals of characters is something I want to pay ample attention to. If I don’t stick to that thought, then we’d have to lower the quality or break the balance of the game. Something that goes way off spec could break the entire game.” But when he put Ridley in the Pyrosphere stage he said this: “Instead of going through a lot of very convoluted hocus-pocus to make Ridley a fighter, I figured it’d be better to keep Ridley as it currently is, the correct way, and have it feel like a truly threatening presence. There are other icons, too, like Metal Face and the Yellow Devil, which help effectively portray each of their world settings. They go a long way toward deepening the game world, and I think it’s been fun to experiment with.”
***** And if you believe that then you believe that Ganondorf matches his moves from the games he's from perfectly like Sakurai said in the same interview.
***** And so was Ridley and his size shown off in the intro for Melee also backs that up. His size wasn't even a problem until Retro remade him and that wasn't even Ridley but Meta Ridley. They should just use the Super Metroid Ridley style where he's long but not tall and his wings are smallish and end this stupid argument once and for all.
Cj. How would they design a moveset for Ridley when he is always in the air. Even so this might actually be the last smash game ever, wich means Ridley can't be added even as DLC. Sakurai just says that he think's Ridley is too big and that it would be extremely hard, if not impossible to make a moveset for him while it's still Ridley. Just accept it, Ridley isn't coming
I'm starting to have my doubts. That fighting ring looks more like a wrestling ring (which would make sense as wrestling rings have more than just 2 people in it while Boxing rings only have about two). And based on the screenshots of the Villager using punching gloves while also having the balloon fighter recovery it seems they may give old NES moves to the Villager as a way for not being able to give them their own moves sets.
The Brandon Universe My thoughts exactly and Bomberman is also playable in Super Smash Flash 1 & 2 including Super Smash Bros Crusade even if those are fanmade games.
Kinda reminds me of when someone speculated that the Hoenn remakes would be called Alpha Ruby and Omega Sapphire. Then Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire got announced.
Aysha Wattellier Rosalina was my MOST wanted Super Smash Bros. character before they added her in. It's like Nintendo was watching me, and decided to provide me with this miracle! :D
Oh me too I've always wanted Rosetta/Rosalina/Rosalinda/Harmonie/Estela as a playable character with her own special magical moves instead of a Peach alternate costume! :D She has been requested as the most wanted Super Smash Bros fighter so I'm very happy that for the 2nd time there's a new female fighter right after Female Wii Fit Trainer. :) Thanks to Rosetta/Rosalina/Rosalinda/Harmonie/Estela's comeback in Super Mario 3D World. ;)
You don't understand how much I agree with you on your pick for #1. I'm basically at the point of literally praying for his inclusion, and your moveset idea with the break, topple, daze system is something I would love to see in the game. Finally someone who knows who truly needs to be in smash.
0:25 « Won’t have Sora since I just don’t think he’s likely even though I want him in.» 9 years later after unlocking the door, Sora is finally here as the last playable character which marks the end of Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s DLC! Like OMG, it was a very long way for believing and praying in it but from now, we got what we want him in thanks to the Smash ballot votes as the true chosen winner alongside Bayonetta in Super Smash Bros For Wii U & 3DS! 🤩
Indeed it was. I didn't think he was likely back then and I was correct. But after seeing the HMK video about who owns Sora and what it would take to get him in, it definitely seemed like he had a much better chance this time around, and boy did he.
Congratulations for your 10th place because Little Mac is from now on the newcomer of Super Smash Bros For Wii U & 3DS and he has been announced at the new Nintendo Direct so well done friend. =D
You got 3 wishes granted. They are Little Mac, Mega Man, and Shulk (and yep, they got the soundtrack, You Will Know Our Names). Ghirahim was semi-included, as an Assist Trophy.
No worries, as for why people are thinking Impa will replace Shiek... well it's probably because Impa would be just like Shiek. Basically a Shiek with an Impa custom as a way to put it. While it may not make sense in Smash it does make sense in the Zelda series as one of the caretakers of Zelda is usually named Impa. Plus with her appearance in Skyward Sword and Shiek only being in OoT it would make some sense just to switch them around like that.
This is still one of the best character lists I've ever seen after almost 2 years. Not once have I looked at a list and actually agreed with 9/10 of the characters. Since the list is already 2/10, I really think it could get 6/10 (K. Rool, Ridley, Ghirahim and Shulk being the other 4 characters).
Honestly I've also wanted Saki Amamiya & Lyn becoming payable for SSBWIIU & SSB3DS but unfortunately they’ve been confirmed as assist trophies once again during the Super Smash Bros Nintendo Direct. Surprisingly smartest list. 👌
I wouldn't even be suprised if Goku was in SSB4. But if I wanted a character in SSB4, they HAVE to replace the Pokemon trainer with ash. Your list sounds awesome! Oh, and Prince Fluff has to be in SSB4. Think of the move sets!
i swear..one of the best things to do on a day off is go through your old videos...this is list was really good. and as far as im concerned , little mac is in. that boxing ring stage from the new trailer sealed it for me. this was a solid list and every character on it has valid reasons for making it in the game, i really want shulk and llyod in it the most lol boomer man would be epic in the next smash..and you never know. im pretty sure no one ask for wii fit trainer so anything can happen xD
Well, let us examine each character possibilities (as of April 2014) 10) Little Mac - CONFIRMED!!! 9) Ridley -Cool suggestion, and the argument made some points, but it just didn't seem like the thing Nintendo would do. Just have to wait and see, though it would be so awesome for him to be playable. 8) Ghirahim - Cool idea. But there may be a few problems with that. It was said that the characters will not change movesets, so the whole sword thing wouldn't make sense, and the thing I have seen is that the franchises have a maximum of 4 characters, except Mario. So another Zelda character may not happen. 7) King K Rool - A character that seems possible, and it may also be possible to design a moveset. 6) Lloyd - Love the idea. Seems to at least have a chance though. 5) Ray01 - Seems that they may keep him as an assist trophy. 4) Saki / Isa - They could introduce both? It is a cool idea. but they must even out the character to make it equal. 3) Megaman - CONFIRMED !!! 2) Bomberman - My friend loves playing as bomberman in Smash flash, and it seems cool, but all those things in perspective, it seems ALMOST impossible (I said ALMOST) 1) Shulk - An AWESOME CHARACTER!!! It would be advertising to put him in, making it a benefit to Nintendo. It seems possible. I kept in mind that this video was what you wanted, and the choices are so awesome. I just looked at their chances and the majority seem more than possible, especially those who were confirmed.
Now after only 3 of your videos, I see you as a genius. You have all the 9 characters I want. Wait, 9? Yes. I wanted one more third party character. Cloud. He would be like Ike, slow but strong. His final smash could be the Omnislash, he could use firaga for the B attack, and his up B could be doing a super jump and in mid-air he uses his sword to propel him up. We have confirmed Mega Man, and Demise could be a boss in story mode. And I still want Sonic in, so the fans can do the two blues.
Its like youre from the future, 3 characters got in, you predicted their movesets really well, and as for that Xenoblade soundtrack, that got in too, along with the stage, oh man!
Well you're probably right and wrong about a few things. 1.) Since there is no story mode like SSE he won't be a boss. 2.) Since that Other M stage was revealed with Sakuari stating "an enemy of Samus's past could appear any moment" he'll most likely be a stage hazard. 3.) If you think he would be OP they could balance him out.
After I play all these games I haven't heard about before (Xenoblade Chronicles, Bomberman Punch Out, No More Heroes) I go back to these videos I watched at age 12, and I enjoy and understand them even more.
in the intro of melee you did saw wolf and fox facing eachother and geus what wolf appeared in brawl. so there is a very great chance that he would become a playeble character in 4. btw, your list of characters is awesome.
If Lloyd gets in , just think about this, If You hold the b button when doing a special, it becomes the next level of the arte/tech example: If neutral b is demon fang, If you hold the button it becomes double demon fang/fierce demon fang!
Hooray your ranking made your day and congratulations for your 1st place because Shulk is in the game! It's the first time that a Xenoblade Chronicles character is in Super Smash Bros! Anyway sorry to hear that Ghirahim is an assist trophy! Now you got all 3 characters right just before the game was revealed. Well done pal =D
After playing a little bit of Xenoblade Chronicles, I agree 100% with Shulk. I think if his moveset revolved around powering up his Monado and inflicting certain status effects, that his moveset could be REALLY cool.
The only reason why Shiek might be replaced by Impa is because of the 3DS's hardware limitations. Sakuari has already stated that it's difficult to program multiple characters (specifically stating the Ice Climbers) to run on the system without any problems. In that sense it could be difficult for characters who have switchable characters like P.T., Zelda/Shiek, Z.S.S. to be in the game as they were, and the best thing to do would be to split them up. As for Impa to replace Shiek... darn limits.
So overall... #10: Got in #9: Didn't enter in Smash 4 but became a boss and in Smash Ultimate, he became playable. #8: Assist Trophy (a.k.a Waluigi and Shadow effect) Ganon's better than Falcon anyways, no matter what the tier lists say. #7: Mii Costume in Smash 4 but became playable in Ultimate #6: Mii Costume (but Pac-Man got in) #5: Mii Costume (I think) #4: Neither are in yet. #3: Got in #2: Assist Trophy #1: Got in
Glad to see I'm not the only one who rates Megaman and Bomberman so high on priorities. We've got Megaman confirmed, here's for hoping on Bomberman! Also, yes I am saying this as a statement of joy. You don't need to ask me that question. :P
If they bring back Sonic into the 4th SSB game, then they really need to include Shadow, Tails, and maybe Knuckles. I know your list DQ'd Sonic Franchise characters, but those 3 need to be in the game as playable characters-- if they decide to bring back Sonic. And a move set would not be hard for them. Shadow's move set, well the up B attack could be the homing attack. The forward B attack could be the spin dash. The B attack could be chaos spear (and that could be a charging up attack, too). The down B attack could be using a form of firearms. And his finisher, you've got some options: it could be Super Shadow, Chaos Blast, Chaos Control, or light speed attack. Tails' set would be: Up B- Fly (obiously) Forward B- Spin Dash B- Tail Spin/Whip Down B- Cannon Knuckles: Up B- Probably spring board Forward B- Glide B- Punch Down B- Either Dig, or Earthquake
Mario 64: Only a little taller? Did you even watch the video? Mario Sunshine: He's still very tall Mario Galaxy: He's still very tall. Have you played pokemon? There are some small dragons in that game.
I really want to see Ghirahim as a playable character in the game, I think he has a High Chance of getting in :) Maybe they could put Hades or Medusa as the villain for Kid Icarus. :)
I pretty sure you know this already Cj but #1 has been offically announced now and your second idea for their move set is what Nintendo went with (or so it looks like).
Well, most characters here at least appeared in some way or another. 10. Playable 9. Stage boss 8. Assist Trophy 7. Mii costume 6. Mii costume 5. Nope 4. Assist Trophy 3. Playable 2. Nope 1. Playable
This is an amazing list. I agree that Sora is unlikely to get in but I think it would be more likely if Sora and Riku were a tag team. It would be amazing! Sora would use light moves and Riku would use dark moves.
True, but I'm going to guess that Sakuari wants to play it safe and since this was also kind of a stage in Dead or Alive 3D that had Ridley as a stage hazard, I'm going to guess he's going to do that as well.
Actually they did give the official names of the games. It's simply Super Smash bros for WiiU and Super Smash Bros for 3DS. It was brought up in a Hard News video from Screwattack and the website has them listed as just that.
10.Later confirmed 9.We can only hope 8.Possibly 7.If he's the only character I want that gets in I'll be satisfied 6.Unlikely 5.Would be cool 4.I could care less 3.Later confirmed 2.Unlikely but would be cool 1.I could care less
Finally, I find someone who wants Lloyd Irving for Super Smash Bros.! Seriously, the way Tales of Symphonia's battles work seems to click right in with Super Smash Bros. You may know that in Tales of Symphonia, there are two main attack paths, one that excels in repetitive weak combos and the other in strong attacks that consume a lot of Tech Points. Perhaps, since in the Smash Bros. Direct on 4-8-14 revealed moveset alterations, such as Mario's fireballs differing and Pit's arrows becoming more "flexible", perhaps Lloyd could have two seperate movesets designed for the two earlier-mentioned paths. My only problem is that his Final Smash would probably pertain to the Eternal Sword which may cause spoilers to the game's plot.
I still find it really funny that a lot of these older pre smash 4 videos, not just this one, said that they should get rid of ganondorf and add girahim instead. Yeah let's toss one of the most important Nintendo villains for a one off villain from a game that.... wasn't very good. That being said, skull kid or zant would be hype as fuck.
Zelda is a definite but I think Shiek will be replaced by Impa (even though it will more than likely be the same moveset). While that's not confirmed the reasoning behind that is Sakuari said it was proving difficult to put multiple characters (specifically stating the Ice Climbers) on the 3DS. This might be a problem for characters who can switch like Zelda or the Pokemon Trainer and since the WiiU and the 3DS will have the exact same characters.
Don't forget the that the reason he has died that many times is because of the timeline split. In Twilight Princess they stabbed him with that sword, but then he got the Triforce of Power and then it was like nothing happened. Only when it left him at the end of TP did he really die. Besides he wasn't even shown until OoT and up to that point Ganon was (and still is) the main villain from that series. I wonder why they made Ganondorf a playable character after just 1 game and Ganon wasn't. Hmm..
With Toon Link's reveal, this actually gives me MORE hope for Ridley! I mean think about it. Speculation that Toon Link was going to be cut was because of the Spirit Tracks stage in the 3DS version. Because of this reveal, Ridley has a chance now. Even if Ridley turns out to be a stage hazard in the Other M Stage, he can still be playable since Other M Ridley is a literal clone. This is based on the entire fact that Spirit Tracks Link is a completely different person from Wind Waker Toon Link.
the following wanted characters on this list came true to ssb4: 10: Little Mac 3: Mega Man and definately 1: Shulk and number 8 ended up becoming an assist trophy for the game.
I'm so happy that Toon Link also known as Link Cartoon in French is back & confirmed to be in Super Smash Bros For Wii U & 3DS because he's such a very important main hero character for representing The Legend Of Zelda The Wind Waker HD on Wii U. ^_^ I can't believe that a lot of people said that Toon Link/Link Cartoon will be cut & removed just because he's the copy of Link & also because we can see him in The Legend Of Zelda:Spirit Tracks stage.Nice try! >_
This was a great, great, list. Little Mac, Ripley, Megaman, and Shulk are all such Nintendo mainstays that their inclusion should happen if the game has a huge roster which is what SSB4 should have. Though after seeing the Megaman trailer and the range of abilities he has maybe, just maybe, SSB4 will have fewer characters with more involved controls. This seems like a crap decision, but given how many abilities Megaman has it is hard to imagine a balanced game where Mario does like two things.
Fair enough. I've seen fan move-sets for Ridley. Mostly all buttons mapped to "Insanely OP one-hit KO move." Seems like you're actually a person who has an ironically rare ability known as, common sense.
That was going to be my guess as to who they would choose but in all honesty, I'd rather just see a fourth Zelda character (fifth if you count Sheik) that played differently than all the others.
