Nice, it's my car's long lost brother - 330Ci from the UK, with factory black grill and burgundy leather - chipped and lowered slightly. It had the silver MV2 wheels but I painted them gun metal grey. The thrum of the M54 engine is a good companion. If you ever want to restore that carbon cube trim which shows the scratches, use a bit of Forever Black trim dye or similar. It works into the trim without the hassle of painting, makes it look like new. It's pretty much a permanent repair too, doesn't wash off.

I just got an 06, they got rid of the Alcantara after 05 because of wear issues. The ZHP Has a Yellow tag steering rack that M3 guys get as an upgrade!
I have a 2005 zip with 84k on it. Mine came with leather interior. It’s showing some wear with paint chips and car door dings on the side, but it cleans up real nice. Had the front struts, and all brakes replaced along with new types 18 months ago. Very slow oil leak, and I mean slow, eg, down 1/4 quart every year when I get the oil changed. I must say Iove this car. Best ever.
It’s 2024 and I am going back to basics and grabbing one of these with 60k miles for the summer. Just love the early 2000 BMW’s. The body style of the E46 was beautiful, they don’t look anywhere near as good today to me personally. Just too much tech today. Appreciate the video , it’s still useful and sweet to watch ! Just quick question. Does it go too down while the car is moving and if it can what is the max speed the top of the car can go before it can’t go down?
That's really horse shit nowadays ... many 'buyers' like me want to scan many different cars quickly and not waste time inquiring on an older car that turns out to be way more than is worth spending on.
I am a buyer ... I have x amount of money to spend. I'm looking for the right deal ... making phone calls is a pain in the ass and time consuming ... I want to assemble my own short list and do it quickly ... people like you are so damn short sighted.
You are only talking about a percentage of people. There are many people like me who are looking for cars of several makes and models ... and ... you're repeating yourself. I might buy a BMW, a Mercedes, etc ... sorry you can't wrap your head around that.
These are high revving engines by design. BMW wouldn't give you a 6800 redline if you weren't meant to use it. I have an 06 ZHP ragtop and an 03 e46 touring and I redline them all the time! Not so much with my 06 750li its just soooo damned powerful that you don't need to.
Dirty little secret, Alcantara is just fake suede. Its terrible on a steering wheel after a while. If the name wasn't "Alcantara" no one would want it. I am sure it is much,much cheaper to install. Car co are really laughing behind close doors.
Alcantera is used in race car dashboards because is absorbs sunlight so you have no glare and it's used in steering wheel because it's not as slippery as leather and it only wears when you have greasy American fast food hands
