I've seen so many "men's self help" videos before, and they're almost always hacks who lean towards the incel/mgtow/etc. side of things that give the most self-destructive advice I've ever seen. With that, I'm glad to say that you are a man who gives genuinely uplifting and inspiring advice without blaming any problems he might have on women or minorities. That was amazing Cole! I wish i was at this mental health level as i am now, i see a psychologist now, my now ex told me to see one a year ago. My relationship of 5.5 years got ruined, i got lazy and slobby, i ruined it, my perfect life ruined in seconds, now i live in a noisy apartment , but i lost 45lbs, i eat better and my mind feels better than ever, i cant forgive myself for what i did and ruined, but i have to take steps everyday to be better! I hope she will return but most likely not, but i can be even better for my next love ❤ you have inspired me many times but something held me back but now i will grow and i will take another step each day, life feels hard and my heart aches, but i have to learn to love myself flaws and all and do better

Thats amazing. The next step would be to forgive yourself, though. You can forgive while still making improvements. The break up was a blessing in disguise for you, and you have to live your life as if you are never going to get back with this person. It hurts, but it helps so much in the long run

I don't want to brag but that third pillar resonates with me since the start of this year. I care less about the material possesions, although some are good to have, like money, but, I started being more social and let's say "comedic" and teamplayer. Care about needs of self and rather focus on well-beings of others around me. I dunno if I get the message of the Third Pillar correctly, but this is how I understood it.

Yeah but ive noticed its also very generational and gendered. not to generalise but i notice women care way more abt material things (business also booms the most with women) and guys can care less way easier. Idk as long as you understand business and advertising and what it plays on it shouldnt be that hard to understand materials aint it, and certainly with the right amount of skepticism i think it mostly depends on exposure and personality but idk it feels like no effort is needed to put which probably isnt the case for some anyways im running my mouth im looking more forward to the next replies

This is one of those times where 'never judge a book by its cover' comes to mind, although I may be right in thinking that that was the intention? "Why You Should Seek Power, Not Happiness" with a weird alpha bro style thumbnail elicited vibes and a brand that just made me think "really, is this a Cole video? Oh no...". I guess it was done that way for algo reasons, and to try and catch some of that crowd and help steer them out of it? If so, props. I initially was going to go like a lot of commenters off this thread - in that power was being sought out as something to lord over others instead of finding inner peace/happiness. Shame on me, I should have known better from a Cole video! Now after watching the video I agree with the sentiments aired. Its very much the 'knowledge is power' and 'the only true power comes from within' kinda power vibes, not insecure and projectionary power over others kinda power. A power that only comprises of inner peace, and a power over oneself only. A power than is not externalised onto the world around you, an observation. A power to bing kindness and love to the world around you, through acceptance of yourself. A power that cannot be taken from you, and therefor keeps insecurities at bay (with healthy self awareness and reflection), as once you are at peace with yourself, there is nothing that you expect from the world or that the world can hold over you. And in return, you only give happiness, joy, love and laughter. Now thats the Cole videos I've come to know and love! Thank you as always!

Im not into the looks culture anymore.. I used to be very insecure about other people's lives that I quit most social media because of it. And that gave me peace of mind instead of trying to imitate what they do and get into that "be more" mentality.. a lot of people get purpose from life doing that. But for me, I dont care anymore. I have something to eat, somewhere to sleep, me and my family arr in good health and love each other. I dont need anymore "happiness" than that.

By far the dumbest title and main photo by far. Why seek power when (like youth & beauty)- 'power' testosterone and muscles fade and are harder and harder to keep up. Id much rather be the guy on the left because thats how the soul looks. Happiness, contentment, purpose, passion, in the moment, and gratitude. Running away is cowardice, weakness, a waste of the limited time we have. Facing yourself, and simply trying to be better, regardless of how hard you fall, is strength. I know some people will feel judged and uncomfortable hearing this but tbh I don't care any more. Miserable people spend so much time going "haha same" when they could've instead invested in getting BETTER.
