great video! I see shorts/tiktok/reels taking over long form on YT and Facebook. BUT, the problem is if you offer services/products, long form is much better for sales...people watch shorts and move to the next one, with long form is easier to drive traffic to your site. What are your thoughts on how to solve this? Btw, the community part you mentioned was very interesting , I still have to work on that 👍thx！
Can you please make a video on how to manage and handle the community in social media that you mentioned in this video? I would love to try that this year, but I’m building my biz now from zero. Also, can you kindly address the question of what if one member will try to take over your community and take away part of it to form his own brand?
I definitely agree with you on the anti niche. Was reflecting on who and why I follow them. I follow them for what they can teach me. If I’m following too many people, my brain gets scrambled and no progress truly takes place. I want to follow someone who is a leader. A leader in life, not just one thing. I want to follow someone who can teach me everything I need

It was helpful to be reminded that people want to see more than just the niche that you talk about; telling stories and talking about interests, values, perspectives gives something for others to align themselves with and potentially join the tribe that is being created.
I agree I was so stuck on finding a niche it was driving me nuts. It hit me that hey I’m a multifaceted person. I’m a mom, I’m starting a new career in real estate, I love doing my hair, trying new recipes, and home organizing and hacks. Lifestyle is life. We’re human. So now I’m just being human on my channel. ♥️
The anti-niche trends is perfect for me ! I'm multipassionate. I can not stop my mind. I have interest in EVERYTHING. From art, to tarot, to reading list, to Netflix... I'm so happy finally I can express my self on all the subject I care about

I found your channel today 30 minutes ago, just from random surfing. I just watched your very first video and this video. I don't know WTF am i doing in my life right now, but just let me post this comment once in my life. I don't quite get all the info, but I think I get something out of it. Your first ever video kinda taught me how to control myself, and this video gave me some of the tools I need to use for my life in the future. This is my first time seeing you. Thank you for these! I am an older Realtor and my style is not niche at all. It is more like what you are talking about. Feeling the need to be so specific gave me great anxiety and kept me from creating and posting content. This info is inspiring me to just be me and post whatever I feel would be interesting “to someone” that day. I WILL be watching you from now on. Side note…I appreciate how comfortable you look on camera and your videos. And at least on this one your video is not too busy. It actually gives my brain time to absorb the info. Thanks again!! 😊

Great tips but just two things that you can consider for your next videos : speak at a normal pace, it is like I’m listening to a machine who is in a hurry to finish a piece of information and number two, your mentioning your master class too many times. Just a heads up.
I agree with all the trends especially the one about everybody using the same editing style. I always had my own unique video style as I thought everyone having the same editing style was boring and would fade after a while. Thank you for sharing 😊

Great upload! I think this is the year when people will want to connect with their fave creators on a deeper level. More authenticity. More raw and rough instead of aesthetic. Inspirational and real instead of aspirational. Less authority and more building a community.

the algorithm doesnt care about your "wants" you can either draw an audience or not, just be ready for change as the algorithm constantly changes and at the end of the day, you need to have an engaging editing style. period.
This video was right on time for me ‼️As a new content creator I always feel as though I am not niching down enough & I am happy to hear that being my authentic self and promoting individuality is what we are moving towards

I never was 100% niched because even though I am a social media strategist and an entrepreneur, I am also a mom, wife, woman, and so much more. As soon as I shared also my sense of humor in videos, or content that is very general...it goes much more viral...I have even videos that have reached million of views...Yes you will get a lot of followers that might not be your ideal target audience, but that's why you post all the other content pillars to nurture them in sales and your target community
Thank God for the no niche. I never did that because I would burn out. I make content for people my age so maybe that is my niche, but it's whatever category I like; s mainly 3-4. I think it helps from being boring. I started with beauty/comedy and now do food as well because of 2020 lockdown. It made me grow and not lose anybody!!
I got in the podcast game by combining it with the livestreams I was already doing twice a week. With this method, only extra thing I have to do is write the script for what I'm going to talk about. Then I take the live recording, do some minimal editing to make it a better listening experience and post it to all the podcast platforms using Red Circle. Only other thing I want to do with them is add them to my blog as another way of drawing traffic to the podcast which will lead them to my RU-vid funnel. I'm going livestream and podcast heavy this year.
Yup, connections .. people have gone through too much over the last couple of years and are yearning for some kind of community. Having a personal connection with your audience whether it's how you deliver your content, how often or just who you are and - especially how you think .. that's what people are looking for. It's no longer a one sided delivery, people want to have the conversation and not just listen or be spoken to. So if you can go live or create premieres (if you're on RU-vid) so that people know they can connect with you in the 'live' chat feature, you're already winning because that will drive up engagement and that's where you want to be.

I totally agree with your first point. Isn't Caleb R., the same editor Gary Vee uses Alex & Leila H's video editor? If you're creative and spend time trying different things, I think it's way better to create your own style of branding so when your followers see it, they immediately recognize your style and say, "Oh, this must be one of Vanessa L's awesome videos, I recognize her supercool video branding!"
Thanks for this Vanessa! The platform must be listening in on my laptop as these were the topics my team and I have been chatting about all last week. Has been challenging with the “niching down” and forcing our content into a corner, while our physical business is much more dynamic and fluid. Our individual team members have many different areas of interests and we were dreading putting together and managing multiple channels. Makes more sense to combine into one as our clients connect with us and our interests as a team…and not necessarily our niche. Keep up the great content, you’ve earned a new follow/sub from us!

This was a great video. I love the idea of the anti niche as it will allow me to incorporate my interest in my videos. The video podcasting is something I started doing last year. I record the video while I’m recording the podcast episode at the same time. This year, will take snippets of the video for my social media content
I love the anti-niche trend. We are multidimensional. I like a lot of things. I’m trying to share them all with my community. What helped me was creating my ideal audience and making videos based off that.
Thank you, Vanessa! You're right in saying that the Hormozi-style captioning style has become basic. I have to rally my video editors now to develop something new for our clients.
Such helpful tips one thing I know I deff struggle with is connecting with my audience. It’s weird like I’m great at doing it here on RU-vid but my other social platforms I just find it difficult and can’t seem to connect my personal self with my audience.
Interesting theory on the trends side of things. It makes sense but as a new RU-vidr I have only created videos at the moment that aren’t exactly on trend as much. I wonder if it’s worth jumping on the next big thing and adapting it to my type of style or just grow the more authentic natural way. I guess I’ll just stick with consistency for now and see where it leads in time.
For years I've been myself on video and will continue to do so. I don't copy other. My brain has always been my content, what I am also creating content that I'm an expert in, not what others expect me to create.

hi vanessa great video and i agree i wanna see the end of people doing video games clickbait like 9 things your doing wrong in x , its sad that these videos while getting there videos millions views give the wrong idea about a game ie elden ring a huge game tghe world and his wife have done videos about going all over the huge map getting the most powerful weapons but what they dont say or show is how situational these are , this has led bandi namco who make elden ring to nerf stuff these op videos uses plus gives the wrong idea about game , also thank you to all your videos i am now stopping lets plays although i might bring em back as i miss doing them , i do shorts and also doing a gaming podcast
