Holy moly Marshall! Sorry to see this happen to you. And here I’m am bummed out that I found my front shaft engine oil seal leaking badly 4 days before I drive down to Busco. Hopefully, the seal arrives by Monday… Hope to meet you guys down there.
What the heck. So if its ever tine to replace engine bearings, its bet to just buy a new motor? Gonna "like" to juice the algo but I dont like this one bit.
So basically the issues just seem to be bearing clearance. The 1000 had the same issue. New bearings come way too tight. We found it didn’t matter which brand either including can-am. They need a little better clearance and they’ll hold up.
Jesus juice wtf is going on over there? Lol if you guys need help let me and Zane know! We aren't gonna gonna make Busco but if there's anything we can do to help lmk!
They can be fine, it’s hit and miss unfortunately lol. We’ve had great luck with our other machines. It also has to do with how we ride them. I have my shiftout set pretty high for a 850 and when I ride it it’s basically wide open the entire time. A race car engine is the same way, they don’t last forever when you start pushing them like crazy.
I dropped a valve and it destroyed a piston. Was hopping to have it done in time for busco. Rather play it safe then risk rushing. Thanks to your video of putting that one together it gave me enough confidence to start building mine
