After having an opportunity like this, I really want to see an analysis, since most reviews don’t have the perspective of comparing each model to each other in the way you can with this drive event. @@Polychromophilia We've seen much of this thing before, especially on Top Gear. Put a 'decent' driver in a car like that GT2 RS, and they can pretty much keep up with a 'race' driver in a lesser car. Though I'm sure Matt would probably make more mistakes going all-out. The allure of the older car is that it takes talent to drive them like that. Newer cars can pretty much be pointed in a general direction, and 'just go'...
@@enfantterrible4868 ...and I made my comment fully realizing that, though the 2RS is no slouch. You have one car that can make up 2 seconds in the corners, and another that makes those 2 seconds back on the straights... It takes a good driver to corner fast, while ANYONE can drive fast in a straight line. ;)

You can really tell in the video how much faster this car is then the other ones he was driving. You can also tell how smooth it puts the power down. Great video series Matt!
If you watched all the videos you could really see how much faster this car was than the rest of them and it seemed just as dialed if not more so in the corners. Awesome series Matt

love this series theres a very yellow one in my area and it looks mental can't wait to see how they top this maybe one day the roadgoing 911 will finally embrace an actual mid engine, like the RSR
It's startling how quick these GT2RS cars are, and the consistency at which they'll rack off acceleration runs is simply stunning...oh yeah, and they handle pretty good too, ha ha!
I have seen The 911 R video and this one. The 911 R is the one to have, even at slower speeds it’s exciting to drive, you can use the car, this GT2 you need specific tracks to use it. The R seems fun on B roads. But GT2 is a engineering marvel!
You can really tell how much faster this car is than the other 911's Matt drove on this track by how much smaller the gap is between him and the lead car.
@@dudeonbike800 The irony is that Manthey-Racing is a factory supported team for Porsche's Junior Team. It's pretty cool that Manthey can modify your Porsche and it still honors Porsche's factory warranty.
Best to last! I have a real soft spot for GT Porsches I hope one day one will grace my channel for now i'm sticking down the lower end....much much lower! LOL!
