If it shorts lightsabers, then it's purified Cortosis ore, it the original lore it was a rare and expensive material, a purified ore had the ability to short out the blade of a saber for a moment. If turned into an alloy, it became even sturdier, but could only deflect a lightsaber. The problem with Cortosis was that its ore, if unrefined it could kill anyone who touches it, it was extremely dangerous to refine, which made it even more of a rare material than what it already is. Mestare crystals were immune to its effects, but with the new lore I don't know how it'll work, considering that, since Filoni stepped in, the number of crystals has shrunk to a couple in the whole galaxy, somehow.

People keep praising this episode for its action, but even the choreography was not good. Makes no sense, carries no weight, and serves no purpose since none of this was set up, and by the end of the episode no one achieved anything. When you break it down this ep actually had the most ridiculous character writing of any previous ep, including Mae's face turn last ep.

In the original EU lore, the Sith COULD READ THOUGHTS!!!!! Besides, Ki Adi Mundi could tell that Anakins' thoughts dwelled on his mother!! In TPM novelization, Anakin knew what people would say or do before they said or did anything!! And Vader could read Lukes' thoughts about his twin sister in ROTJ!!!

This was one of the stupidest lightsaber duels I've ever seen in DIsney-Wars, and I sat through Assoaker's shitty duels. Let that sink in for a bit. So, apparently, lightsabers can go through trees like they were made of butter, but they can't cut down legs or heads? Then, when it's convenient for the "plot," a lightsaber can stab through someone and kill them. Wait a minute? I thought Sabine proved that you could survive a stab through vital organs from a weapon that has the heating equivalent of a sun. Seriously, man, this has some of the most in-consistent writing I've seen since...I really can't think of anything else this bad at the moment. That's fucking sad. Also, why the hell did that Sith wannabe keep talking when all he needed to do was kill them? I thought Sith weren't supposed to talk this much when making their move. For that matter, why did he keep turning off his lightsaber when he was in the middle of a fight, only to turn it back on when someone ran toward him? Hey, buddy, why don't you just keep the fucking thing on till the fight is over? Jesus, man, Freddie Mercury would've been more intimidating as a Sith Lord over this Liu Kang looking reject.

Just makes the Jedi look weaker and more incompetent as they had this guy in custody in episode 2 and let him go. Why is he so worried Sol will read his mind when Sol had him captured without his helmet and couldn't even sense he was a powerful force user. Why does no one try to locate the Wookie they came to save? Because Mae, the bad guy, and the audience know he dead? Sol doesn't know he is dead and just leaves. Mae's loyalties flip flop yet again and she contradicts everything she said in episode 4. Two characters die that they failed to develop so most people don't care or are happy they are dead and five no name Jedi die as well that nobody know or care about. The Wookie dies offscreen but we also don't care because we don't know him. I'm just curious how this ends at this point but I don't care about any of the characters so I'm not invested in seeing any particular outcome. 3 more turds left.

Yord is not a master, just a jedi knight for two years. He told that Osha in the first episode. How Sol got so fast in front of him? Well, there is still the speedrun ability, they never use... especially in a fight, if they can run real fast, why are the fights in "normal" speed? They could cut up everybody in no time. Headlunds favourite episodey yes? Wonder why... maybe because so many jedi die? She is awefull... Mae doesn't want to kill him anymore, remember? She changed her mind last episode. She could have told Jecki "hey bitch, i am on your side, i want to tell you everything, so you don't have to put me in prison". But no... she fights... The episode 3 theory i just wrote in another reviewers comment section :D Also that he probably is Sols lost son, one of the bitches, i mean witches was involved with him... left him and saw him at the ceremony, and told Smilo "Hey, that is your dad, we need to kill him" and all hell brakes loose. Also i hate the size of the lightsabers... those super thick glow sticks are horrible. I love the originals, Ben Kenobi in Episode 4 (movie) and in Rebels, there they were so thin, that was great. Sure the technology of the prop is the reason it is so big, but i don't like it. It is not "precise and civilized" as Obi-Wan said. Ach man... fuck the rule of two for the sith... this is so annoying. Some asshole from anywhere in the damn galaxy might not have heard shit about that rule. Just heard of the enemy of the jedi. He should have told her "use ordinary things to kill the jedi. make it look like you are a normal person, no force powers", not the crap on that stone at the sea. This whole show could have been different then. The only thing i wonder is, will Jedi in the council be shown, that they feel the death of so many jedi?

Awesome vid. Yes! These were nothing like Obi v Dooku, agreed. Qui-Gonn v Maul, Obi v Maul. Only worked cause those characters were fully capable and had a focal purpose, so pivotal, dear to us. Giant Moths did nothing for me. Jecki death could have worked and been impacting, but she was not fully fleshed out and only minimally dear to us. I liked her, but not as much as Qui-Gonn, or even Dooku, who I respected absolutely, basically admired. Protect spaceships with helmet armor!

That said, the only thing I liked about this episode was watching the sith Qimir fight with his saber and the very good acting by the actor. He looked more menacing without his helmet.The show should have been about Qimir, who came across as interesting. Sadly this show wasn't in the right hands as the writers have no clue about Star Wars lore. Apart from that I kept face palming my head so many times that my forehead is so sore. I didn't care about the carnage of the Jedi in this show ( unlike how I felt when I watched order 66) and the lightsaber duels were most definitely not the quality of the prequels. I have so many other questions: a). Why did Sol suddenly refer to Ohsa as a civilian? b). Jecki must be a superhero padawan because she could take on Mae and the sith Qimir for a while, unlike Master Indara and the other Jedi knights , who are meant to be in their prime, died quite quickly c). The fight between Mae and Jeckie was too long, it was ridiculous to hear Jeckie sound like the NYPD say you are under arrest in the middle of fighting Mae d). Absurd scenes such as the parent trap like trope of twin swapping , Qimir being taken away by the moths, why didn't Qimir force push the moths away and why didn't the moths sense the fighting lightsabers? e). Why didn't the Jedi, especially Sol and Mae sense the darkness of Qimir in the first place f). Why couldn't Sol see that Osha is Mae... wouldn't he have seen her tattoo? g). Jeckie and Sol acted very unjedi like, aggressive and with much anger/hate when fighting with Sith Qimir h). Why didn't Sol kill Qimir upon learning he is a Sith after killing his team , yet Yoda sent Obi Wan to kill Anakin i). Why did Sol leave the bodies of the Jedi behind? j). Wouldn't Yoda and the Jedi council sense all of this, a disturbance in the force? I rest my case about the stupidity of this show.

That was stolen from legends, it is a metal called Cortosis Ore a very rare, brittle, fibrous material, the conductive properties of which would cause lightsabers to temporarily short out upon contact. I love the way that Master Squid Game decides he can't kill Smileo cause Jedi do not attack unarmed enemy while Yord is laying dead from a broken neck. This episode is rubbish with lots of flashing lights to distract people who are becoming immune to key jangles. Do not simp for this episode. The combat is just flashing things. Characters teleport around. All the NPC Jedi actually look the same (even the women have the same dark hair as the soy boys) so you can't work out who is getting killed. All the NPCs are so bland no one cares. They build up a huge cast with White Hair Girl, and Jedi Cuck and then before we even get any feel for who they are they get killed off. Gee. Should we care? One was a cuck and the other insufferable and if it wasn't for the actress deciding to Les it up her character would have been even blander. The entire episode runs like a school kid doing a creative writing exercise... And Then Smileo gets attacked, but he has special arm guards that turn off lightsabres, and then he stabs the first Jedi, and then he sees Osha and chases her, and then Squid leaps up and fights him, and then they fight, but Smileo escapes... Seriously. This is crud.

Well, at least I was right it was the bum looking dude that was the Sith. I'm almost sure he's only the apprentice and since disney are now trolling their own microscopic fans, I also think the master might be the green Jedi at the expense of the high republic multimedia project or it is the Zabrak girl. I can understand the logic of Beskar stopping blaster shot or withstanding lightsaber hit but Cortosis shorting out lightsaber? It's nonsense! Where's the logic in that? I don't care it exist in the EU but it's actually stupid and nonsense! It can short out lightsaber but it's brittle too? That's just kiddie playground logic! 🤦‍♂️

Sorry that I have to correct you. Reading thoughts is a thing in George Lucas Star Wars. Vader reads Luke’s mind about Leia, and even Ki-Adi-Mundi can read Anakin’s “Your thoughts dwell on your mother” What I don’t like is this helmet has unknown properties that block mind reading, like its Magneto’s helmet.

The metal isn’t necessary saber resistant, cortosis after repeated strikes from a lightsaber can break , so the sabers weakened his armor to the point of them being able to break through by hitting it . They should have just a a saber eventually cut it which would have led to the face reveal but that’s too much for Disney 😂.

The show would've been completely okay, not good but okay, had they just featured it at least 1100 years before now. It would have changed very little. Disney doesn't read up on anything but Skywalker lore and they completely butcher it. But now they're butchering the pre Skywalker era by making the Jedi know the Sith came earlier. Get off Skywalker's 🥜 Disney. Just create your own timeline! I would have probably looked at it then. Damn! This is so infuriating. I don't naturally hate you Disney. I tried to have an open mind with the sell. But you obviously are too lazy to study just a little bit of basic lore and all on the Skywalker sagas 🥜 because it was too easy to study, and still get it wrong. I don't know if Disney buying Star Wars are a prank or t r o l l. You just would have done EU popular stories, you still could have been around the Skywalker Saga but be rich with massive fan support, printing money. Never seen a very rich company just volunteering to burn its money and potential to make money to send a message. My problem isn't diversity at all.
