This is the "The Ancient Paths" Christian television program, hosted by Pastor Jason Wallace. The program is sponsored by Christ Presbyterian Church in Magna, Utah.
Grant Palmer is one of my religious hero scholars! Just incredible information and he backs his information up, Amazing to say the least. Again, just amazing mind!
This is absolutely mind-blowing. As a former member for over 40 years, I cannot believe that I supported this organization! There certainly wasn't anything said about this in Sunday School, Sacrament meeting, or auxiliary meetings. It's almost too much to believe, and yet Palmer's sources are all documented. Holy cow.
+deskjockie49 True enough. Much of the backround of such organizations are hidden from members in order to avoid arousing suspicion. Once the "cat" is out of the bag, however, things change. I pray that you've gotten free from Smith and his myth.
+deskjockie49 when you say 'member' what do you mean? did you have a spiritual witness that the book of mormon was true? Did yo have a witness that this was Christs church? Did you keep all the commandments? were you active?
+troy bart What OBJECTIVE facts do you use to verify your assumptions ? How is it that Joe Smith and his myth becomes the Church founded in Jerusalem 2000 years ago ? That a "feeling" now becomes "fact" ? You assume much but understand little....that's one of the requirements of being a Mormon....
Palmer's Council of the Fifty comments doesn't comment on many of the facets of why the Fifty was founded. I'm very unimpressed with his arguments here. To be fair, I've read the Joseph Smith Papers Council of the Fifty minutes. Still, he should be a bit more evenhanded here, but he isn't. Mr. Palmer could be more fair all the way around but he is absolutely not, because he has more knowledge than he is giving. I'd say he's playing to his audience.....
@@Sayheybrother8 to be fair, this comment is 4 years old, but I recall my impression of Palmer is that he builds his version of the story leaving out every bit of evidence that hurts his narrative….facts he had to come across in his research….to me, that is a big red flag against him, which left me to ponder why he omit such easily found information….
@@Silvereagledude I’m still on the hunt to find out why William Law and Joseph had a falling out. It’s quite distressing actually because I had family who followed or at least left with him and was made bishop of their little church. It seems from my studies he actually was one of the only leaders who was opposed to polygamy and really payed for it.
@@Sayheybrother8 who was the ancestor who was bishop in Law’s church….The whole story is very fascinating to me…there seems to have always been some business rivalry between Law and Smith….I’ve come across some remarks by Joseph about doing business in the lower section of Nauvoo rather than the hill where the Laws businesses were located, but I believe ultimately the split came about because of plural marriage, which Law saw as something that would dash his hopes of the Church becoming very popular and successful if it were to get out….
my mother in law is a mormon ,after learning more about josephs myth, and his character ......i can see why shes a mormon shes as mean and nasty and hateful as i imagine josephs myth to be
@@ancientpathstv seriously posting a recruitment video here is marketing genius. Seven plus years, and here you come. A little opportunistic, but Brilliant.
