These classes share a beautiful series of practices that are known as The Art of Residing in Radiance, or Zhu Yang Shu （住颜术). Each class starts with a short talk followed by the breathing practice of the Three Stars of the Lower Dantian, gentle warmups, and standing meditation. We then explore the main practice of the Art of Residing in Radiance, which includes Gathering Yang (Cai Yang) and Micro and Macrocosmic Orbit (Xiao Zhou Tian, Da Zhou Tian). As a powerful energy practice, these movements can positively affect our healthy by either moving stagnant qi or slowing down what may be erratic in seemingly gentle ways. As always, themes are offered as ways to help us experience and learn to embody the philosophical concepts underpinning qigong. Suitable for all levels.
