Michael Littlewood I don’t think the dodgers would want it. You want to win a celebrate with your fans in the moment not be awarded something years later that is tainted
MegaMclovin007 There is around 8 teams right now that are being mentioned about cheating also including the Yankees and Red Sox (I think Boston was using Apple watches). Now when the Astros make it to the AlCS or World Series next year people are going to assume that they have their own satellites in space stealing signs from other teams.
@@ramathorn8287 True, The Atlantic alluded to more teams. But, a severe penalty, given to the Astros, would encourage these teams to hopefully stop their non-on-field sign stealing.
SzetoDaCheeto JomBoy also said all Houston pro sports teams used PEDs since 2010. Brian Cushing was the only the athlete that got caught. James Harden, Jose Altuve, George Springer might need to be tested.
This practice came from Carlos Beltran who brought it over from his previous team. He was a Yankee from 2014-2016. Then worked for Yankees this past year. Just like I knew when this story broke when all re facts come out its going to be ugly for majority of teams. It will all come out and the Astros will only be a part of a huge MLB scandal implicating many teams.
@@gregg5269 ugh... theres no conspiracy the Yankees were cheating, there is however alot of evidence against the astros. And I hate the Yankees but come on dude use your brain.
Everybody should watch Jomboy's video on this and you can see it in real time. There's no doubt about their cheating because it's too quick how it was done in real time and how obvious it was.
Fiers said all this was done in the regular season. You really think with all the comotion going on in a Playoff game they would be able to use this tactic?? Comon man
Carrying your bat past first base for your homerun trot is just one more thing. And then their constant totally extrovert out of dugout celebration. So many things that add up with this team that never sat right with me for a long time.
salozmen29 he'd be long dead because the Astros would have to tank decades' worth of seasons to find actually talented players willing to work with a tainted organization
They had to go through the Yankees first, and it doesn't help that the Astros bat .120 average at Yankees Stadium and got swept on the road. Then magically they started hitting .300 at Minute Maid Park.
Trevor Bauer has been accusing the Astro's of cheating for the past 3 years. People called Bauer "nuts", well where's there's smoke, there's fire. Apologies to Bauer.
Exactly! I’m a Yankees fan, but there’s LOTS of teams that have a right to be pissed. Which includes division rivals who were constantly being cheated by the stros. For all we know the A’s win the division and probably do or another team, etc. the Astro’s screwed EVERYONE.
Greg Barnett and pitchers who got screwed because the Astros destroyed them causing them to be sent to AAA and never pitch in the majors again. Astros screwed them over too
vinnythewebsurfer nah verlander definitely knew. What’s also weird about the astros is once players come to the astros. They all magically start throwing harder.
The MLB is a league where some teams have the 2 to 3 times the cap space of some other teams. In a league like that getting mad over filming the dugout is very trivial.
@@unc54 Precisely. Finally someone else mentions it. Yankees spent $206M in payroll this year while most of the league spent under $113. Red Sox and Cubs are well over $200M too lol. But we're worried about signs ok.
Jomaru Joestar I feel you on this but this is two years ago and the Nats were smart and knew that there were rumors (now more than rumors) that the Astros were stealing signs via technology. But you're right about the character issues as well. Astros a disgrace.
yeah but the yankees accused them in the 2019 ALCS of sign stealing and Hinch said it was "ridiculous". So they prob stopped doing it cuz people started to catch on and won that series fairly. But they couldn't do it in the WS after those accusations.
Nationals were warned many times to watch out by former Astros players and other teams so they obviously were smart enough to change all of their signs when playing in Houston.
Makes me wonder in Game 6 of the WS when Straus said he was tipping his pitches, were they doing it then? This would be a HUGE controversy if they had won
Jacob Bond Coming from a Nationals fan (no Houston bias at all) the Astros noticed Stras tipping his pitches by looking at him on the field not by cameras. With that said, there are instances where I believe they did use cameras but this World Series wasn’t one of them I think.
@@wq198mnr yeah but the yankees accused them in the 2019 ALCS and Hinch said it was "ridiculous". So they prob stopped doing it cuz people started to catch on and won that series fairly. But they couldn't do it in the WS after those accusations
JomBoy Media put out a video showing Straus tipping pitches in that game, but as preciously said in that case it wasn’t using technology to steal signs it was noticing his set rhythm to determine whether he was throwing a fastball or offspeed, which is complete fair play.
Let’s be honest, before 2017 u never saw the amount of fans as of now. Living in Houston, u never would see people wear Astros gear until they became good like in 2016. Before that, no one would ever wear Astros gear. Sad but true 😕
PYthOn the players were in on the cheating too bro. They were the ones getting the calls from the dugout while batting. Can’t look at any of them the same anymore
@@FadingB4U mad?? I ain't a Astros fan...Am enjoying every minute of this 🤣🤣...not only did they lose the world series at home to the nationals...but apparently the Astros are domestic violence advocates...and now big time cheats?? What's next 🤣🤣
I’m an astros fan and I honestly don’t care if we cheated or not. We still got the ring. There also isn’t really any evidence yet of us even cheating on the postseason. Cheating or not we still won. Whatever it takes to win I guess.
yall chapman was missing with the fastball up and out, the only pitch he could throw for a strike was the slider, altuve caught on the THAT and sat slider
@@sheldonknowles2174 ROFL The fact that it has to be spelled out for so many people that any little leaguer who isn't a coaches kid would have been sitting on that pitch makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills!! Still a bunch of cheaters though.
Then strip every team that won a championship with known cheaters. Like the Yankees of the early 2000s. Didn't they Clemens for two of those titles? Yeah. And lets not even get into the Red Sox with Manny Ramirez.
@Michael Ye Lol are you serious? Clemens, Stanton, Knoblauch, David Justice, Andy Pettite, Clemens, Grimsley, Neagle,. And they kept juicing with guys like A-Rod, Melky Cabrera, Sheffield, Cano, and Giambi through the 2000s. People just think of Jeter and get a hard-on but the Yanks were a bunch of cheats.
People seem to miss the part that this has been an issue in MLB for a while and that multiple teams have used the practice of electronic sign stealing.
What's your point? Should murderers not be punished when they're caught because other people have gotten away with murder? It's their fault for not doing a better job of not being caught. They're cheaters plain and simple.
Mike Sannitti scapegoating implies sacrificing someone for the sake of avoiding scrutiny against yourself. I can’t imagine anyone being okay with throwing one of the best teams (team members not franchise) in mlb history under the bus all because the Yankees didn’t get caught or any other team in recent history for that matter. There isn’t even enough evidence to even come to this conclusion yet anyway.
@@mikesannitti6042 that's an awful way to start. Scapegoating people is why you have issues such as Manny Ramirez and Barry Bonds not being in the hall despite having the numbers, because they used steroids, yet people think David Ortiz, who has worse numbers, is a first ballot lock despite the fact that he did the same thing guys like Bonds and Ramirez did.
@@JoseNegreteJr I understand, but I'm speaking of this past season during the ALCS I notice Bregman giving hand signals on base and from the dugout or walking back to the dugout. It was fishy to me because I've never seen that before in all my years of watching baseball.
@@JoseNegreteJr that's correct. Is it frown upon, yes and it's not illegal but if they got the signals from videotaping their opponents then we have an issue.
In Los Angeles we still talk about that 2017 series. That’s how much it still haunts us. So to know there’s a chance they cheated is bittersweet. It gives us some consolation, but at the same time makes us more bitter lol
Feels like a dreamland where baseball fans from all teams alike join hands with dodger and yankee fans to hate on the trashtos The enemy of my enemy, is my friend
As an Astros fan Max is a hypocrite. His Yankees played and signed a bunch of juiced up guys. Is that not cheating? The Astros in 2017 actually hit better on the road than at home.
Dude everyone in mlb was doing it at the time you sound dumb.....didn't Houston have a mvp named Ken caminiti in the 90s who got caught juicing? You have no leg to stand on and if sold this is true it's a black mark on your organzstion ....just deal with it like a man
What?? Max may be hypocrite but that is irrelevant to the allegations that a former Astros player confirmed they had cameras set up in center field zooming in on catcher signs at home plate during the 2017 season and postseason that’s NOT gamesmanship, that’s just str8 up cheating. Nice try though. Smdh.
Yankees should not blame this for losing in 2017 because their offense was completely dead in Houston, the Dodgers might have a more legitimate complain because of what happen in game 5 where they score 12 runs and still lost the game.
max salinas “fined” wow, what a great punishment. They would never cheat again! They can pay hundred of millions for players but man a fine is so harsh.
They need to surrender their title. A slap in the hand makes it worthwhile to cheat. This parallels the trump scandal. Just a hand slap to him means he is good to go. He will call every country we support and quid pro quo them to death.
Yankees fan 4 life You have no evidence that they didn’t cheat. There is evidence that they did cheat IF they are found guilty of it. Watch Jomboy’s breakdown.
It doesn’t have to be in their own stadium. Most teams have their own television network and camera crews that travel with the teams. The signal was being broadcast on a monitor. You can’t do that with some spy camera that you can buy at Sharper Image. This is something more professional. I’ll be on it.
The Astros won game 2 and 7 on the road in the 2017 World Series. The Astros won 2 or 3 (can’t remember) against the Yankees in 2019. The Astros won 3 in a row against the Nationals on the road so obviously there is talent on the Astros.
@@josh3008 Because you guys were stealing signs. The amount of homeruns and absurdly clutch homeruns the astros hit at home during that world series were ungodly. Y'all cheated and now y'all got caught. It is what it is.
I am no Yankees or Dodgers fan but as a baseball fan in general I'm furious It is just unacceptable, I hope the league would punish Astros seriously enough to set the standards The title should be stripped and there should be ban on them from drafting and signing new players in the following season Also the sexist comments and behaviour and the racism against Darvish back then, Astros are just a disgrace to baseball
Busted by a silly, yet very entertaining baseball youtuber......way to go Jomboy!!! Proud to have been a subscriber back in the 30,000 days, now almost a half million! When is ESPN gonna call?
Bc the camera crew and setup are different for the world series they likely wouldn't have had access even the series before when the Yankees were complaining of them cheating...tjey likely backed off and faced a tough Nats squad it's baseball...they won in Washington bc they are too good not to be swept cheating or not but they clearly are doing things to try and steal signs so...
And if you really think about it, Yu Darvish was pitching well until Game 3 of 2017 World Series in Houston. These bastards were definitely cheating man.
i remember back in 2017 that there was a rumor going around that the astros were cheating during the world series against the dodgers on game 7 but it was just a rumor and now its 2019 and now there bringing this up again
Not weeping. Just acknowledging Yankees were and still are the better team. If you gotta cheat the Astros have no faith in their players to do it legit.
I guess the Astros were setup to steal signs in away games as well since they had the best offense on the road and best road record that year... but let’s all keep burying them with absolutely no evidence of a camera yet
Mike fiers didnt snitch he just just told his teams as the time I think it was tigers that astros are doing this so they could know and I guess that spilled the Info that eventually went to mike fiers back
You can’t hear a trash can during a post season game as someone who was at game 2 of the ALCS in 2017 near the dugout you couldn’t hear what the Person next to you was saying when they were yelling at you
I do think it's telling that another one of their pitchers (Cole) was also very quick to disassociate himself from this team. Pitchers have to be offended by this.
