This is why I never Invalidate peoples mental health problems no matter how successful a person is. U can be so attractive, have so much money but still be unwell. I dont know what she was struggling with but I feel for her bc I struggle with mental health issues myself. She seemed like such a personable woman. RIP 🙏.

True but also... She could of been involved sexually with a man who had a family and didn't want to lose that and his status for her so he killed her and made it look like a suicide. She had far too much to live for perhaps she had discovered she was pregnant and the jerk she was with didn't want to be exposed for cheating on wife so he killed her... Or he gave her some kind of disease that can't be rid of and when she confronted him he killed her and made it seem like a suicide. Last scenario the cops lazy and idiots like in Lauren case and didn't properly investigate at all just assumed it was a suicide to quickly solve/ close the case cause of her notoriety to make it seem like a suicide rather than foul play so they could look good and have her looking mentally ill instead of a victim who life was violently taken.

@@paulag7635 yes the medications are problematic they destroy your libido ( base and naval chakras ) and block third eye ( pineal gland)in that you're numb from the waste down.The description zombie can be applied to the comatose state they have you in to where you're barely even blinking . I've literally been suicidal to where I was searching web sites on how to take an easy route (suicide) only the thoughts of my loved ones crying and pet going without food made me get a grip and deal . It is strange though her having close family ties and such an accomplished life.I know that she probably had a stalker or bully .In actual fact the satanic doors left open by a boyfriend father or brother is another factor how the enemy infiltrate and put evil thoughts and suggestions .Thats the sad reality .R.i.p Chesley

I pray that you find the time to find love by the one who made you. It may sound cliche', but I know how Jesus has changed my life, my heart, etc. I didn't always believe, but nothing can change my mind now. If you don't know Jesus, look into Him, ask Him to reveal Himself to you, and start your healing journey. I know the hateful comments I could receive just by writing this message, but I'm doing it because my intention is to send you love.

Thanks for this. I think she was an overachiever and that can come with depression because you feel like you have to constantly achieve, and when you conquer one mountain you look for the next challenge but it doesn’t fill the void you feel inside.

She was such an amazing person however; her achievement resemble Alexander the Great. Still, what a remarkable, sensation, and inspirational person she was. BTW, I wish society would pay less attention to age. Since when did age 30, 40, even 90 become the ages where you're old. SMH. If people are fit mentally and physically, age should never be an indication of people potential.

Strange though but it is a feeling shared within humanity. I am a Hispanic male and have felt like that before. I removed time constraints to my goals and work a little at it everyday. If we could live for 500 years, I think the not achieved feeling would dissipate because you would have enough time to make the mistakes necessary to get to a point in life where you would be satisfied. So, the point is not achievement per se but since we live such short lives, life doesn't give us enough time to feel realized.

Sis. Do not conform to society time line. Stay healthy physically and mentally. Find what makes you happy even if seems out the norm for everyone else. Become spritiual to listen to the positive voice within. Once you feel like YOU are being negative to yourself find a safe place( friend, family and so on). Take a moment and put into a perspective those moments as she was falling.. like really try to picture that. If she was really depressed and fighting mental health do you know just how many times she’s been on that balcony contemplating that fall? It’s devastating to even think about. All those moments she paced back and forth telling herself to just do it but something would stop her and those last few minutes before she jumped she decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. Only if someone could’ve stopped this. I honestly had no knowledge of her before this but learning about her in just this last week I can see how this is heartbreaking to those who loved her. May her light still shine in all those she touched. Rest well angel 🕊🙏🏽

@vijaynair2403
@vijaynair2403 2 года назад
It’s very hard to imagine what she was going through. For those who are suffering through depression, contemplation of suicide is a very hard decision of course. But psychologists say that when they finally decide to go through with it, a wave of contentment goes through their mind. The reasoning being that they know that the pain “will finally be over”. That’s why when people interview loved ones or friends after someone commits suicide they say something along the lines of “They just seemed so happy that morning. How could this happen?!” In any case, a terrible tragedy. May she Rest In Peace.

Amen to everything you said... There has been the belief that she had planned this all along. And part of the mystery surrounding her death is why she would choose such a violent and destructive end? As opposed to pills or hanging... It has been estimated that it took her 4 seconds to hit the ground. Still, the lack of any surveillance video - even some still captures of her on the terrace, has many thinking it could have been murder? And until that video or samples is released it's possible she could have been pushed or dropped...

RIP to this young woman. I have a problem with this whole story because it's only getting this much press because she was smart, pretty, mixed, and successful. If she looked like Flava Flav, picked up garbage for a living and she lived in public housing at 29 years old, this would be a non story. Black people sure do love those mixed females with the good hair. Every time somebody does a story on her, it's always about her looks. Before she died how many people heard about her? All's I'm saying is why can't people feel the same way about people who aren't as pretty and successful as her. Keep that same energy for other people who don't have what she had. She doesn't represent me as a full black person. I could have walked in her circle if I wanted to because I'm very light skin and both my parents are black. Every chance I get I tell people that I have 2 black parents. I'm proud of that. I'm not trying to be mean, but there are a ton of people that have the same issues as her, but because they aren't pretty enough or famous they tend to be overlooked. One more thing Ma'am, why did you feel the need to say she jumped from her 60th floor luxury apartment and she left everything to her mom but said nothing about her dad. I feel that was unnecessary to say, and I'm sure he heard about all that, why make it public.

This might sound crazy, but I feel like sometimes the more successful, you are, beautiful, whatever it is, it’s like people start to self-sabotage and think they don’t deserve it. Or they just push themselves to a limit of perfection that pushes them over the edge. All of this coupled with mental health challenges is what I see with Cheslie. Let this be a lesson to all of us that we are enough, just as we are. We don’t always have to do more, or be more, or have a standard for ourselves that causes us to self-destruct. This case shows how powerful and dangerous depression can truly be. A lot of us go to Psychologists, and express that we are battling depression and many suggest, do things to take your mind off it, and this young lady, was not short of doing things, but in the end, her last act, showed, that wasn't working. I point that out to say if medication gives you a better fighting chance don't be afraid to ask for it, don't feel ashamed of asking for it because at the end of the day it's important about you getting the help you need. Thank you for this. As a suicide survivor, I lost my big brother in 2012. This hit me so deeply. The loss is like a bomb in your very soul. I also suffer from Depression. I can tell you that the illness itself can be very insidious, the mind does lie to you at times. However, this beautiful tribute of her life, her smile, her intelligence, her light is what we must honor and celebrate. Let us not remember her untimely ugly end so that it overshadows all that her beautiful light was. I say that because I know personally how difficult that is. Remember her like this.💜🕊️

I heard you mentioned a lot about her “older” age in regards to the perception of the pageantry world. Now I understand why she felt “old” at 30 because I was literally bewildered as to why she would think that. Especially given that it’s a great time to get “older” compared to any other time in history given the advancement in technology, the easy availability of cosmetic procedures persevering some aspects of youth ( this used to be reserved only for the rich and famous, but not anymore), tobacco use is down significantly so people aren’t aging in dog years like they used to, a heavy societal focus on taking care of yourself and the fact that we don’t work nearly as hard as we did in the Industrial Age with all that wear and tear on the body contributing to advanced aging. I know people who have lived very good healthy lives that are in their 40’s, 50’s and 60’s who look phenomenal at their age compared to our fore parents. Although she tried to convince herself that it was a good idea for her to enter those pageants before she “aged” out, maybe it wasn’t when you read her article in Allure where to paraphrase, she talked about dreading the “old” age of 30 and she was running out of time. It’s laughable if it wasn’t so sad. Most people at 30 probably don’t think that way. I know I didn’t. At 30, I was just really getting started, I was on my way to accomplishing a lot of my life’s goals where this young lady had major accomplishments before 30 that many are still working on in their 30’s and 40’s, maybe even 50’s. In life, you need something to look forward to and if you feel you’ve done it all so extraordinarily well like this young woman did - well, maybe she didn’t think she had much to look forward to. Maybe she peaked way too early in life and got disenchanted with life coupled with her faulty thinking about “30” being old. Whatever the reason, there’s always a better way to deal with the troubles in your mind than to jump out of a 60 story building and violently kill yourself to end it all in no time. I hope she is resting now and let this be a lesson to us all that we really have to be steadfast in not allowing this society to poison our minds (especially women). Protect your mind folks. It’s the most important mechanism that controls everything about your inner world.

I think you made a great point about her achieving so much, so early on in life that she may have been disenchanted with life. However, I think there are so many women who dread the age of 30, especially if they don’t have a clear path career-wise, if they don’t have a significant other or they haven’t had children. There is so much pressure from society, especially in certain cultures, that your biological clock is ticking as you approach 30. At 27, I thought the same way Cheslie did; the idea of 30 made me feel like the clock was ticking. Now, at 32, I don’t feel like that at all; I feel young. Society has conditioned us to believe something that isn’t necessarily true, and it’s refreshing to hear other women in their 30s saying that they feel like their coming into their own now too. God bless you and much success to you.

The pagentry world instills the idea in its young contestants that after 29, you are old and no longer relevant. I understand Cheslie commented on this and was "infuriated" by this mentality and reality. Her death proves just how "relevant" in so many ways she in fact was to all who loved and admired her. Perhaps in her suffering, that is the message she wished to convey with the hopes that the pagentry "universe" would put an end to such ageism that caused her and others such feelings of diminshment and emotional suffering. Rest in peace and God bless your soul, Cheslie.

Thank you for making this beautiful video. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Cheslie Kryst since I found out about her death last Monday. She was so incredibly beautiful, intelligent, and accomplished and always looked so happy. I would imagine that no one except perhaps the people closest to her ever suspected that there was anything wrong. She may have felt guilty or embarrassed asking for help in her final hours. Good mental healthcare can be hard to find even when you have good insurance. She was obviously dealing with depression and possibly exhaustion as she seemed to me like someone who pushed herself really hard. I read somewhere that she had been hospitalized for exhaustion in the past when she was studying for an MBA and a law degree at the same time. I didn’t even know her and my heart breaks for her. I can’t even begin to imagine what her parents, siblings, and close friends must be feeling. The prayer you said at the end of this video was so beautiful and touching. Thank you.

Such a beautiful lady 😭 I competed as a Teen in my state under the Miss Universe organization. It open my eyes to how beautiful pageantry could be.The sisterhood that attaches to it, is amazing! Seeing the older dolls competing was like watching your favorite Barbie doll in action. (This is the best example I can provide lol) I’ve followed each Miss USA/Miss Universe titleholder, and was in complete awe when Chelsie was Miss USA. My first initial thought was, how many hours does this woman get in a day??? And I hope she’s giving some time to herself sheeesh. She was so unapologetically her, and for black women in the pageant world, we feel the need to Submit to societal pressures of “fitting in.” She was so inspiring! Her reign as a titleholder was IMPECCABLE! She used her platform to fight social justice, women empowerment, mental health, and natural hair care. She felt as if she wasnt good enough. So while many of us saw damn near perfection, she was cracking under pressure this entire time. 🥺 This really hurts, as I know what it’s like to be in that dark place before taking your life. I wish she knew how powerful she was, I wish she knew how beautiful and amazing she was OUTSIDE of her accomplishments. I wish she knew she had time to complete whatever she wanted to achieve at ANY age. RIP Beautiful ✨ #STOPTHESTIGMA🗣

It was very telling, and surely one of her close circles would have seen that in the first few minutes but how come nobody rang the alarm? It was said that she jumped hours later. Why did nobody think to ring her family if she wasn’t answering within those hours?

The news keeps reporting that BUT anyone that was following her on IG knows that she posted her last post at about 7 am….about the same time she was reported to be found…which was 7:15 am. I would really like to know how a coroner could determine, (without a doubt), that a fall from a high elevation building is deemed a suicide, without a thural investigation of whether a person was shoved or thrown. For now, I wish that it was said to be a 'possible' suicide pending further investigation. It's just so disheartening.

You are the first video I have seen on this platform that talked about someone's tragic death/family loss and prayed for the family afterwards. It really touched me and and I am so glad everyone that watched this video had that moment to pray for the family's healing. Be blessed.

Thank you so much for making this video Leya. I remember crying so much when I heard of her death and I didn't know her at all. It's just her story resonated with the struggles I've had in my life. Dealing with mental health issues and striving to get by each day. Your prayers brought even more tears to my eyes and I'm so appreciative of the fact that you didn't shy away from praying on your platform. Many blessings to you and your family and may Cheslie rest in peace.

Same. They looked lifeless. Everyone is just focused on her beauty and her accomplishments saying they think she was murdered. 🤦🏾‍♀️ No one digs beneath the surface anymore.

I was obsessed with her tik tok account since she was crowned. She was living my dreams (The ultimate title holder, lawyer, tv personality, etc etc). Rest Well Cheslie

I loved that you ended the video with a prayer. I didn’t know of her story aside from her being a pageant winner. But her death really left me feeling very sad and unsettled. I can’t even begin to imagine the sadness and pain her friends and family are experiencing or even that she herself felt

Thank you for such a wonderful tribute for Cheslie Kryst. Thank you. I hope the warm, beautiful memories shared with her family help them with the unimaginable pain they must be feeling right now. I hope time lessens their pain and the memories they shared with Cheslie fill their heart with love.

Ms. Nicole, you are to be highly commended for covering this situation with such style, tact and grace! Then you closed it with such a beautiful, touching prayer. If anything ever happened to me, I would be honored to have you speak for me! God bless you and the words you spoke over Cheslie and those who care for her!🙏🏾

Thank you for sharing the whole story about Cheslie. I never knew it. As a single male, it really bobbles my mind to see a woman who is physically beautiful from head to toe woman (the kind that Blue singers talk about like Earl Hooker "Sweet Black Angel"., BB king "Sweet Little Angel" or Magic Sam "She belongs to me"). Mental illness is a terrible thing. Whenever a woman wins a Miss America or Miss USA they should realize that any man in America would live to be their boyfriend or husband. Miss America or Miss USA are never sidechicks.
