In this week's Cache Walk we taking a close up look at a group of the best high crosses in Ireland. Come for a look around this ancient place of treasures. Monasterboice High Crosses and Round Tower Multi-cache GCYQ42
Cracking video. I love the references to the Bible imagery. So much symbolism and stories right in front our eyes for those bothered to wake up and look!
Ireland is so beautiful and full of history. It's always amazing to me to see architechure and sculptures of the past and how much skill there was involved. There is a tendency to think of it as crude, yet we can find many of the same principles still in use today.
A very interesting area indeed! Im amazed how long this tour of yours went on for. You really did get around! Even i have not been to Ireland lol those crosses were amazing! Oh wow gravestones in the ruins. Never seen that before!
We had a great time visiting many interesting places. Two and a half months of travel. We filmed a cache walk each day and on a few days two. Great fun!
Extremely interesting as always. Many thanks indeed for your shout out and wee video clip. Can't wait to see your next cache walk location. I think I can guess where it might be, yes!
Our pleasure. We were excited to see this wonderful place for ourselves, such a gem. We have one more stop on the way to Dublin. Any thoughts on it's location?
Mellifontn nearby is good as well. Monasterboice is I believe the tallest high cross.mellifont is the first cistercian Abbey in Ireland...the mothermhouse.
