Bella Goth is called 'Cora Van de Kerkhof' in Dutch. 'Van de Kerkhof' literally means 'From the Graveyard'. Edit: Another thing, In the sims 3 where Bella is a child, she is called 'Cora Vrijevogel', Vrijevogel means 'Free Bird'

So I've had a little trouble following, but my understanding of basic beats ofthe theory is: - Bella was newly pregnant when she was abducted. The abduction was a random occurance, no foul play. -aliens couldn't figure out what to do with her so they dropped her in lunar lakes -she has her child and gives her up

I think the time travel aspect of this theory makes sense. Here's my theory: what if Skip Broke was the always-born-a-baby-boy, since he cannot break out of the timeline? His clone was sent to future by Michael Bachelor which kind of 'enabled' him to marry with his mother. Yes, he eventually dies in a tragic accident; but every time you start a game in Pleasantview he is born too. It's like Oedipus the King in an endless loop; the mother always marries the child from the future and later when he dies, the mother gives birth to him at the present-day time. Why did the aliens kidnap Bella? Well, in the end, she is blood-related to Michael Bachelor. I'm not so sure about this but at that period she was captured wasn't she the only Bachelor alive? This utterly bizarre technology that Michael practiced back in the day may have grabbed the aliens' attention and they might be looking for answers from a person who is blood related to Michael. Or is it that this unresolved loop in the timeline could have produced its effects on aliens' time and resulted in a time warp? I think the the background story in the Sims series is heavily influenced by the concept of time, if not we wouldn't have witnessed so many invasions or other alien stuff constantly intervening in daily life in the sim world!

So that means... The Sims 4 is also part of the story line, this alternate reality is how the story continues

You should really do a play through of the Sims 2 in the PSP. There’s a lot of juicy details about Bella there. And a very spicy detail about why she married Mortimer 🌶🥵👀

There’s quite a few holes in this theory, such as that Mortimer and Bella apparently don’t get along. This is because when you try to resurrect a pre-dead sim, they always have no personality points whatsoever. Also, why would Mortimer write a full book about Bella if he didn’t love her anymore? However, the Sims 2 for PSP does reveal that Bella doesn’t love Mortimer. On another note, resurrecting Bella (or any other predead sim) with the Resurrect-O-Nimitron will also corrupt Pleasantview (all of the premade hoods ship pre-corrupted, but you can get clean versions of them), so please don’t try it. If you really want to resurrect Bella, I highly suggest only doing so through SimPE. Edit: just realised “Where’s Bella?” wasn’t written by Mortimer. Oops.

Also honestly. This game is 80% storytelling and if you're a good enough story teller you can make anything make sense so the fact they released Sims 4 in the state that it was/is baffles me.

I find it amazing how a fan was able to connect the sims 4 to the rest of the sims timeline in a way EA could never. So creative The lore and backstories is what I miss most in these games. Please bring it back in the sims 5.

This theory seems kind of plausible, but I have an explanation of a less supernatural character. Brace yourselves, it is a long story: Willow Creek. Alexander is in Grade School and Cassandra Goth is a teen. Their stay-at-home mom Bella decides it is high time to find a job so she starts working in the Intelligence Services. Not long after she gets promoted to a Field Agent and starts going on secret missions, explaining her frequent disappearances. When one of those missions goes terribly wrong, Bella’s identity is compromised. Concerned that her family might be exposed to danger, Bella takes the hardest decision of her life - to stage her own disappearance for the sake of her family’s safety. She carefully plans how to do it, so that Mortimer will never try to look for her. She leaves all of her belongings behind, takes a small amount of money in order not to raise suspicion and decides to move to a place that would not appear on any map. A place that was a long kept secret of the Intelligence - Strangetown. But before that she had to make up a story of what happened to her. So she went to Don Lothario’s house. She asked him whether they can watch the stars together from his observation deck. Don, seeing an opportunity to finally seduce Bella, agrees. While stargazing he makes a move on her, but she tells him that if she had a drink she would feel more comfortable. So Don goes to the lower deck to mix some cocktails while Bella is stargazing through the telescope. When he goes back to the observation deck Bella is gone without a trace. Several days later the police is frantically searching for Bella Goth. After weeks of searching no clues were found and people started to think that Bella was abducted by aliens. Eventually the case was closed. Strangetown/Strangerville. Shortly upon her arrival Bella found out she was pregnant. 9 months later she gave birth to a baby girl, she named Mathilde. Years pass and Mathilde starts asking questions about her father. To make sure Mathilde will stop digging, Bella tells her that her father died in a tragic accident. More years pass and Bella’s enemies are long dead. Maybe it is time for her to move back to Willow Creek. Willow Creek. Bella travels back home to find that Mortimer is happily married and has a son with Dina Caliente. Cassandra has ended up with Don Lothario (weirdly enough in my Sims 2 version Don did not leave Cassandra at the altar) and they are expecting their first child. Alexander wrote a book about his mother’s story that turned out to be a bestseller. At this point Bella realizes that her return will cause a chaos in the lives of her loved ones so she decides to disappear forever and move on as her family did. She moves to Lunar Lakes with her daughter. She eventually dies of old age and is never reunited with the Goths. The end. :)

I love your videos. And it makes me kind of sad to say, that without discovering your videos I would never have realised how much history some of the families have, because I’ve always played the games in Finnish. As a kid (like over 15 years ago) I started with the first Sims game and the Goths were named Mortimer, Bella and Cassandra. In the Sims 2 their names were translated (Mortimer=Janus and Bella=Johanna) so I never knew they were the same people. This has apparently been the case with many other families throughout the Sims games. But all in all, thank you so much for making all these videos and for educating me. I thought I was a Sims veteran but apparently not a very good one :D

And she's suddenly and desperately trying to leave town. I never managed to find out if it says why she's leaving. (It could just be because her house is haunted.)

Omg lol, I had no idea Sims actually had LORE. I just thought their little characters and families were there if you couldn’t be bothered to make your own Sims! XD I literally have never played any of the main families, I replace all of them with my own Sims. The more you learn, wow.

Sims 2 for PSP is one of my all time favorite games. I downloaded it on my iPad with a PSP emulator last night so I could play it again and I've been enjoying every minute. Please play it!
