I discovered other watches besides seiko three years ago. Since the one Seestern 62 that keeps the best time out of any watch I’ve owned. One Tactical Frog FXD because I couldn’t wait for the Seestern last year and a Pagani Design Speedy because it was my birthday and I saw your video comparing it to your original speedy. Good honest reviews
I was also ready to pull the trigger on a Serica, until the crown issues came up. So I bought the Ipose with the PT5000 & it’s terrific Jason! I also bought the Pagani Speedy recently & it’s a great value, good looking piece.👍🏼🇦🇺
Baltany are smashing it. I think if they tweaked the designs to make them inspired by rather than homage, they'd be able to up their level. Any of their catalogue could have subtle modern interpretations (lug style, curve case sides etc) to almost class them as OG. And, yes please do a mod on a Berny. I want to do it but not sure where to start
@@1988banker yes, got the torques at the 11/11 sale. It is my most worn watch since. it is so beautiful, so well made and finished, the dial is perfect, matching date wheel, crown action, feel on the wrist.. I Love it. It is my first integrated bracelet watch. Thought they are not for me. Boy was I wrong. And true, the butterfly clasp, yet looks and feels superb- it is too loose or too tight. The only downside for me, and still I hate to take it off my hand🤷🏼♂️.

Thank you for your channels content, I really appreciate the time and effort that you've put into reviewing all those watches. I have a couple of Seestern watches and can attest to their VFM and functionality, including the 'FXD' which still blows me away, despite the slightly 'iffy' action of the countdown bezel of the V1 version? TBH if I need a more reliable/robust bezel function then I'd use something else!

My big hope for 2024 is that Baltany will do a version of the 1921 Americain with a good quartz movement. I dont want to pay a lot for a Miyota movement (and I love the sub second dial on the original watch), and I have been burned by bad ST movements in the past. My next watch purchase (prob March) will be a Thorn BB58 to scratch a vintage diver itch. Good luck with the channel next year!
Hey Jason can you please do a top ten or five watches for bigger wrists? I recently bought the Pagani dark side homage as it's one of my faves but when I got it, it was so small, I couldn't even do the strap up on it! It's amazing how much difference a couple of millimetres makes to a size of a watch. I'd really appreciate it if you could do a top 5 for larger wrists. Hope you have a great Christmas mate👍👍

I just picked up that Berny field watch in green on a strap for $44. After leaving it in my basket for a couple of days at $52 they offered me another $8 off..... No-brainer time arrived 😉
Maybe I'm just immature, but every time I see that Ixdao watch, I always see...let's just say...a part of the male anatomy at 12 O'clock. And I can't unsee it. Although I bought a ton of Ali watches this year (more than I can wear, I end up giving them away), I didn't buy any of the ones listed here. But I have been very tempted by the Berny. I could use a beater field watch, and the price and specs on this look perfect. But I would say that probably my favorite purchase was a Seakoss 3 eye chrono with Seagull ST1903 movement. Just a really nice looking watch with a beautiful movement. I also liked the two Addiesdive tuna can 300 m. divers and the Steeldive "Captain Willard" I bought.
Well I was at the airport the other day & had am hour to kill so I perused the high end watch store where they have numerous brands . Well what did I see .... hhmmm just about every brand had the same catalogue with the same " HOMAGE-ISH " watches ! ! So why is it ok for the high end companies to do this but " oh my goodness those smaller companies doing homages thats criminal " What BS 😂😂😂 Every watch brand has been homaging in some degree or another since watch making began 😂😂😂 . As long as it's not a direct " FAKE " then buy it . Cheers 😂😂SLAVA
Good choices (apart from the Pagani in my opinion). The Berny is great, I have the Sinn inspired dial in full lume 👍. The Baltany is a great watch, but I think they beat it with their VC 1921 homage, that looks fantastic. And I think San Martin needs a mention for the sn0116 a colourful gmt with all the great build and specs plus an original design.
@@JasonTheWatchGuy I couldn't get my head around the offset dial for a while, but kept coming back to the 1921, and in the end blew the budget and bought the centre seconds version with Miyota 9039. It is a Christmas present, so I haven't worn it yet. I hope you have a good Christmas 👍
Some people call it "hommage", I call it theft of intellectual design property. Stop buying garbish like this, if you are looking for cheap but good watches there are alternatives with their own history and inspiration.
Probably wouldn't say the same if it wasn't a Chinese brand though...Ginault, Invicta, Tissot all have homage pieces in some respect but because they aren't Chinese they don't get the same 'garbage' claim
Homages that get inspiration from the original are one thing but Pagani Design copy everything they make. In all but the logo, PD watches are from the same production lines as fakes. That is blatant theft.
There was a gent working with them that really knew his shit when it came to lume. I'm not sure if they're still affiliated but that's where it came from

I have 3 seestern watches.they all have excellent lume.a sugess is coming also. They should start like san martin,experimenting with more original designs. They should Also pay more attention to qc.
