This elevated Appletini cocktail recipe uses homemade aquavit and homemade sour apple liqueur to add more complexity to the modern classic. The appletini goes from college bar to sophisticated cocktail lounge with the spices from the caraway and fresh dill in this tasty cocktail.
The sour apple liqueur is so delicious and contains all natural ingredients and no artificial dyes yet still has that green apple jolly rancher taste to it.
Sour apple liqueur recipe:
Ingredients:
2 Granny Smith apples quartered
1/3 cup water
1/3- 1/2 cup of sugar
1/8th tsp citric acid
1/8th tsp malic acid
1/4 tsp ascorbic acid
200 ml pisco
2-3 drops of chlorophyll
Method:
Blend apples water and ascorbic acid on high until pureed. Strain puree through a nut milk bag. Add 5 drops of pectinex to the juice, stir and let rest in the refrigerator for 2 hours- overnight. Filter through a rinsed coffee filter until clear.
Add sugar, malic and citric acid and stir to dissolve.
In a separate container, measure 200 ml of Pisco. Add 2-3 drops of chlorophyll and stir to combine.
Add the green Pisco to the seasoned apple juice. Shake to combine- store in the refrigerator for 1 month.
Appletini recipe:
1 1/2 oz Homemade Sour Apple Liqueur
1 oz Homemade Aquavit
1/2 oz simple syrup
1/2 oz lemon juice
Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds- double strain into a martini glass or coupe. Brandied Cherry to garnish (optional).

You're back! I just recently found you, and fell in love with your Alcohol free wine and spirit reviews. Was sad to see you inactive! I have a surgical feeding tube and am not allowed alcohol due to weird enhancend absorption rate. Because of you it has been a blast trying out drinks just for the enjoyment/flavor. I now look forward to my evenings and weekends. My fav so far is Figlia. Absolutely delicious! I think I spent 2 grand on trying out bottles ( Canada is nice and expensive) because of you, haha! Well worth it :) Would love to see new wine and spirit reviews!

You can sometimes get away with just letting your green apple juice sit undisturbed in the fridge overnight and the the pulp will settle without the need for pectinx and rack (pour off the clarified top liquid) then you can just strain the settled sediment through a coffee filter and really save yourself some time since coffee filters want to clog on you. Great recipe! i love dave arnolds clarified green apple soda from liquid intelligence and is something I make for myself weekly. Love your content and happy holidays!

The granny Smith soda is really Amazing, i'm in love with it. And this cocktail look like gorgeous, like usual, the content is really interesting with the whee pearl. Like you said, you can do it without pectinex, but if you use it the yield will be better. I'm dreaming about spinzall but can't find it yet. Merry Christmas to all of you, cheers !
