Nice to see the big companies finally innovating a bit and competing with all the random startups and asian brands that have been taking over the single dose home market! I was hoping Eureka would be doing a 65mm grind by weight machine (or 75mm+) Nice to see they finally updated their dialing in system, nice new features there!

Thanks for the tour! Interesting updates on the eureka grinders. I hope its not the final design on the oro single dose pro...the knob needed an update but the design looks completely outdated and an afterthought. On the opposite direction is techno and specialita with the screen indication. I hope at least they refine the oro dial even if they keep the same idea (rotation indicator etc). I like the updated cleaner body of the oro without holes and buttons and the heftier portafilter holder on specialita and techno.

Love the first mazzer Grinder, although for 2023 I feel like they should be using blind burrs, especially if they are manufacturing them in a house

The WPM grinder had easier way to get to burrs, similar to Aries. It also had a magnetic shut and knocker similar to Lagom with a Ionization technology. You should check it out.

Great video! So much fun to see all the new things in the coffee industry! The LMLM is finally a machine I think could thrive in a pop up, light commercial duty. ANY machine WO volumetrics for this use case isn't a viable option for me.

The Mazzer Philos looks like a more beautiful Timemore Sculpture. I thought it was going to cost a lot more than €1000.

Regarding the Rocket, what is a fully saturated boiler? Like a coil or canister housed inside the steam boiler that acts as the brew boiler?

Did Lelit bring out an updated version on the Bianca? Let’s say the v4? Hopefully they will bould a better display to work with. Next year i am in for a new setup. So, grinder and dual boiler espresso machine! Keep up the good work on the channel!

I am concerning replacing my Sette 270 that I use exclusively for pour over or drip coffee. I thought the features of the Eureka grinders sounded great but maybe too expensive for home use for filter coffee. What did you like for such use?

That Mahlkönig Omnia grinder is just a dream.... I am seriously obsessing over it... I am planning of opening a small cafe in the very near future and I am wondering what grinder to get, because honestly - griding is the last thing I want to think about if things get busy, and this bad boy looks completely amazing even if I decide to scale up at some point.

What I love is that some manufacturers seem to have woken up to the fact that they really need to start innovating. However, I'm really keen to see what is coming out in the consumer rather than commercial space. Particularly with coffee machines rather than grinders (which we seem to be getting to thr point of saturation now?). For example, Sage seem to have been going in a worrying direction of building grinders in to all of their machines lately. They have almost concluded that there is no more innovation left for them to do in terms of brew quality and are now just looking to offer convenience at multiple price points. What I find weird is the lack of competition under $1000 to the Sage Bambino Plus. Where's all the innovation guys!!?

Eureka was very interesting. I'm about to pull the trigger on a new grinder. Was weighing up The Eureka Oro, Eureka Mignon Libra or XL and now having seen these new models I think I will hold off for a Eureka Oro Pro or Techno, Libra 65 or even one of the Specialita with the screen which I think is hugely efficient for dialling in the coffee. Any thoughts on what I should get - espresso drinker only a couple times a day and don't change bean type often. Thanks

Espresso nerds: Never buy a Sage/Breville, those thermoblocks are nothing but trouble. Rocket: we added a thermoblock. Espresso nerds: shut up and take my money!

I really like the new modern designs. I am not sure about the electric computerised systems or the use of magnets but quality seems to be improved. I really think this industry needed a kick in the butt. next step has to be working to significantly reduce the prices. Technological be used to improve the product but it's primary purpose is in reducing prices. I understand the industry doesn't want this but you look at the economy, their industry will die on the vine if they don't.

Any new thoughts on meticulous?

Whats are the specs on it? How much power does it consume? So many questions...

Ah I love this. You both very nicely display the peak of “fitness” build and maintain a body that can perform the activities YOU want. For me this solves the motivation problem with “exercise”. So often people are caught in the idea of a mindless painful hamster wheel. If you are really into some activity and the paradigm of your training is centered around being able to do more of what you love better and with greater longevity the sets and reps have more meaning than just checking another box and needing a trainer to try to keep you accountable and motivated.

A plastic cap on such a very expensive grinder is strange

I will likely buy the Mazzer Philos. My first nice grinder was a Mazzer Mini with doser (clunk-clunk-clunk.) I "upgraded" to the Niche Zero, which has a much nicer workflow, but from day one, I didn't like the loss of clarity. It's my daily driver for espresso. If the Zerno was a normal purchase, I would have bought one already. I don't like the DF designs or bellows. The Timemore grinders seem to have touchy adjustments, with too coarse a thread. The Option-O and Weber grinders are too pricey. Compared to the Zerno, I'm assuming that the Philos has similar quality/alignment, but we will see, after some reviews. I like the design of both and the prices aren't great, but acceptable. I prefer the smaller footprint of the Zerno, but the Philos' large size makes it very quiet. A lot of people criticize the rear adjustment, but I love it. One can clean the Philos without unscrewing the threads, or even touching the adjustments. Keeping the coffee far from the threads keeps them perfectly clean. For adjustment, I can always pull the grinder towards me, if needed. Realistically, there are two adjustment cases: a big adjustment when you change coffees or brewing styles, and dialing in. For the big adjustments, I need to see the dial, but for fine adjustments, I should be able to do it by feel. Having a finger on both the body and the adjustment ring should help it be very precise. (This is why I didn't like the adjustment handle on the Mazzer Mini - can't do precise adjustments with it hanging out in space.) To summarize, the big advantages to me are a normal, commercial sales approach, a quiet experience, precise adjustments with that big ring, and easy access for cleaning. The possible advantages for Zerno are the blind burrs and small footprint. Which will produce better flavor? I don't know. Even after the release and reviews, I won't be able to taste the coffee from either, until I make a purchase. Looking forward to April-ish.

I'm not into the electronics aspect. Kitchen appliances with complicated interface, like my new toaster, are not going to last decades like the simple button switch version it replaced. I would prefer to see more innovation in mechanical & more basic electrical stuff, like a variable speed/torque DC brushless motor, anti-static and minimum grind retention.

Eureka, well about time they copied the 3d printer crowds. The shell looks the same so maybe be able to steal some newer parts.
