For me the A and C batches were very close, but a slight nod to C923. A fun video would be y’all doing a blind of ECBP blends: A/B, A/C and B/C. Cheers!

Still looking for C923. There have been a few show up locally but never at the same time as I've been in the stores. But I've got 11 ECBP's on my shelf so I'll survive.

I find A sharp on the palate and B flat on the palate. I mix them together and think it makes a more well rounded pour, but C923 wins easily

I got the vintage Heaven Hill vibes on my first pour of the A123 last March, the C923 is just a monster. Also, my local has a Makers Private Selection store pick and they said that they looked for one similar to the sample of Butterscotch Effect I gave them! Thought that was cool!

1:29 "Shut up when you're talkin' to me." Sara, you're hilarious! 😂 3:29 I don't have enough experience to qualify as a proof hound, but it wouldn't bother me if someone called me that. I find that I like proof. Among my favorite whiskies of all time are Old Grand-Dad 114, the Kelly Liquors store pick of Knob Creek (120 proof) that I recently finished, the Balcones True Blue corn whisky Total Wine store pick I had a while back (106.9 proof), and the Jack Daniel's SBBP I'm working on these days (128.2 proof). I would love to be able to seek out the higher proof stuff all the time. When they don't temper the proof down, they dilute the flavor in the process.

Glad to see this tasting! Did the same with 2 others, and our rankings were completely different. C923 was a narrow winner over A123 for me, but B523 struck me as the friendliest for a regular day. And the least experienced bourbon drinker picked the B, so it's the one for non-proofhounds IMO.

Lots of places out here still have the B523 on the shelves. I was able to get a C923, but that was just a stroke of luck. They said it was going in the back until the 523 cleared out.

A store by me has the B523, I have not seen the C923 around me, but I honestly have not been looking really hard. Here is my question- for the price is the 523 really worth picking up? It’s at the top end of what I’m willing to pay for a bottle. Would you buy or save the money and continue to look for something more special at they price.

I wish I liked ECBP more, i've only had 2 bottles...don't remember which ones specifically but they just come across hot. I do enjoy higher proof stuff, but for these, all i get is hot...or maybe too much spice, not sure, but it just doesn't do it for me. I actually prefer the Heaven Hill BiB 7yr over the 2 ECBP's I've had.

Chad. You did kick out the lowest proof and age. The B523. Sara was confused. She kicked out A123. That happens to be the one I have. I blinded that one against C922 and the latter won. Alas those are the only ones I have.

If you drink a rye bourbon, you drink a rye whiskey. Millennials make me laugh by overusing words and BS. Also, if you are not cleansing your pallet in-between tastings, you are not getting a real taste of each sample and all of the whiskey boob tubers rarely do anything unique from one another. #tastingbasics

Anyone else notice all these YT bourbon channels literally all just copy eachother. One makes a review on a certain bottle and next thing you know they all make one reviewing the same bottle.
