Man you’ve been killing it with the 2k content. Post moves are really an underrated part of the game. This 2k is really good I’m really enjoying it and watching your videos is awesome 🔥
The only video you need to watch to capture the Black mambas Up n Under signature. This is how you make tutorial. Glad I saw this guy last years 2K23s.. Searching for so long for kind kind of video regarding Mariana trench depth tips n tricks. Thank you Kevz! That GOAT for NBA 2K24 adv tutorial mechanics! This is it bruh.
@@KevinCruz016 I am pretty sure we all started from NBA Live then for me I discover NBA 2K on its 2K9, imagine from NBA 2K9 to 2K24. Thats how long I waited to do Kobes pump fakes, Up n unders and of course the unblockable fadeaways. NBA 2K24 and the first ever video and I am glad it came from a Filipino content ♥️. Kevs you are my guy, and the GOAT of tutorials bruh. You deserve more subscribers. Bitin tau kay Tutes pero may Kevz kami! Keep it goin tol. Actually thanks to Pro-Play, more enhance and more responsive on my Xbox now not like on 2K23. I just hope their next step is Bad boys + Pistons defense mechanics and life defying acrobats correct animations. Honestly a lot of movements nor signatures are present na sa 2K23 kaya d na me masyado bukilib sa Proplay kasi d naman tau tulad ng mga puti na nabubuhay sa cheesy left right. I prefer correct animations, fluidity sa future serisles.. Sa guide mo we will know how to execute!
The post feels sooo much smoother to play now thanks so much. And all I’ve figured out so far is the post spin/ fake. All I could do before was dropsteps, hooks and fades but very robotically. This will add the movement I need for convincing fakes. Thanks
Its you again!!! i watched for like years and years ago and that video was the same as this but older 2k i just cant remember but that tutorial helps me a lot back then the HOOK SHOTS WERE OP AND I DOMINATE THE NEIGHBORHOOD THAT TIME ITS ALL THANKS TO YOU!!! man KABAYAN ba? if so im glad watching this video ASDKAHSDKJSA i rarely see finos doing tutorial unless mainstream games
You have no clue how much these tips have helped and gave me goals to actually wanna keep playing this game bro. Been working on these moves since last night .. Thank you 🙏🏽 I play the 5, can you make a video telling us which animations you use as a big man?
I really wanna see you cooking people in 3v3 myplayer park. No one would have the faintest idea how to defend this stuff. They know how to run from side to side and shoot a 3 or hold square to dunk, and defend those things, but that’s all
@@VibesMercante😂😂 that’s why I don’t do park they hate on the post even tho I can score in a variety of ways. The Post just let’s them know you are going to get whatever you want
Yo Kev, you a beast in the Post. I've been working on my post game since 2k20 and I'm still not even close. How do you chain those pivots to a post hop shot in slow mo???
The one thing i wish i knew how to consistently do are the pump fakes where they stick their arms out different directions. They're great but so jank and i almost never get them to work the way i want. I usually do a drop step but flick the stick the opposite direction for a pump fake but it's a 50/50 on if the arms get extended or not.
Always wanted to see someone try & run the competitive pro am side through a post scorer. You'll need a team of straight defending shooters 4 out you in the post Maybe a standing lob type of player paired with you as well
I'm assuming that you need that triple threat badge for a big man to get faster animations and the triple threat cuz Joel embiid is hella fast but I never looked at his badges
@Kevin Cruz do you know how to get the cpu to post up low like at the edge of the paint? The problem is that whenever I play the CPU and a player has a high fade away tendency they attempt to fadeaways from way too far out almost near the three-point line every time. They never post up near the paint. I checked to make sure the play type was post up low so I don't know what else I can do
I watch this video every week, so as pure inside center i can have bag and not just set screens and roll to the basket or just be a post hook cheeser...thanks Kev!!
Yo@@KevinCruz016, you proved that your (elite) playstyle can translate online(man you cooking them 😂) but i don't know man there is more challenge in the post as a center. So in the future I would like to see you using an Olajuwon or Shaq build to see if you would be that successful...
I’m sorry but I just don’t get it. I’m an extreme beginner and I can’t do any of this shit. I’m sitting g in practice doing exactly what you say and it doesn’t do the same thing. I’m just so beyond frustrated with the 2k24 experience as a casual player I can’t find ways to improve at all
Hey man! Being a beginner in this game is tough, but don't be too hard on yourself, the post game is the most difficult aspect of 2K - especially with how close the defense is to you. I wouldn't try some of the more advanced combos yet until you nail the beginner moves. I'd focus on doing the following: 1. Understand how strength, and speed work to your favor in a post up situation. Moves I'd start mastering: - Aggressive backdown (Holding L2 + R2 + Left stick towards the basket) and if you get a bump that generates space, go into a hook shot or fadeaway. - if you're a faster post player, shimmy to any of your shoulders, then rotate the RS and spin the opposite direction to counter while holding the LS towards the direction of your launch. If you're successful and don't get bumped, finish. - Post drive (L2 + R2 + LS towards the basket) then immediately post fade Start with those basic moves and then build your skillset from there. Slowly expand your post game. This move is a comprehensive list of ALL the post moves in the game, and while it may be fun to do everything, and learn everything all at once, the right way to learn is start with the basic moves and expand from there. You can do it man! This took me YEARS of getting real good, I don't expect beginners to learn everything so quickly, but this gives you a framework of how to get better!
@@KevinCruz016 I appreciate the quick and comprehensive answer but I just gave up. I’ve been trying for 20 minutes just to do the spin counter thing and I can’t do it. I swear I’m doing exactly what you’re doing in the video and it doesn’t do it. I feel like I wasted so much money on this game they made it so hard to score with the green or miss. I’m sorry I know I’m just a casual player whining but I can’t figure any of this out. It seems like the shot stick has a mind of its own and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Thanks for trying but I’m beyond saving.
It's all good man, take a break from the game! I'll be publishing a beginner's tips video that will address some of these concerns. It always sucks when people don't pick up the things I teach, so I'll try more to make it more accessible and break things down for you guys!
@@Jack-qy5uv the advanced shit he's doing is real hard bro. I've been playing for years and some of these moves are still difficult for me to pull off. you're already doing better than me putting in practice. You won't get it in 20 minutes. just keep trying and take it slow
LOVE this video . i mostly play PG in MyCareer but can you go in depth with the over head swing @ 3:20 - 3:50 in a separate video i feel like it needs more love .
I don't know what you want. It's combo of getting in position with the left stick and then using the right stick. Just play around with it in practice mode.
For some reason my player will only pivot when I use the right analog stick instead of the left. May this have something to do with my controller settings?
Thank you bro! I know these are really detailed and could be a little bit more succinct but I like to give the detail to help understand the details of the mechanics!
For anyone having a hard time with the shimmy fade shot like me when on post double tap square and hold left stick down however you have to shoot with square I’ve tried to shoot with pro stick and it doesn’t let me nonetheless it’s almost 90% chance you’ll get a shimmy fade I spent two hours on 2ku 😭
Amazing tutorial!! One question: what is your secret to getting the inside shot timings correctly? I miss so many inside layups or post shots and it feels like the timing always changes (I swear I release it quick and it still says I’m late lol very inconsistent timings each shot)
@@NbaLive4everI don't have 24 but for me what worked in 23 is letting go just before I think I'm supposed to and it's usually a better shot, basically let go just before it reaches the top and it'll be a better shot. Idk if this would work in 24 tho
14:05 I can't pull off the Post Shimmy Hook. Even though i follow the instruction. But when I quickly push the RS to right, then push and hold top left. It activates the shimmy move and hook. When i post with Zion on right side of 2k or MyPlayer cam view. But it does not accept it. It shimmys if i quickly push RS to right then hold up left. When i do it on the right side of screen on 2k or MyPlayer cam view. 2k has Zion for this tutorial. How do you do it?
double-fake stepback combo to single foot pivot spin that will push defender to triple leg swing push from the secret animation cancel fade shimmy hook from spin to counter spin granade launher . simple stuff here. (c) Kevin Cruz
Oof that’s rough and might be an oversight. I’ve always been a bit iffy on how much attention retro rosters get, but since Shaw was party of Mamba moments I thought he’d get a better look at those things.
It’s so crazy how far you come from the meaningful clips since 2k21 since I been following you of a sauce creativity person in basketball 🏀 I am glad I searched and then it was you so proud of you man please 🙏🏾 keep going bro been here since the beginning @DJDRAKE111💯🎯
How do i pull off the POST SHIMMY HOOK and FADE. So i can get the tick into the box to complete the training drills. I try pull right first and then push to left up. It shimmies but it doesn't go green with success.
I use the MyPlayer cam view when doing the drill for POST SHIMMY HOOK. I quickly push the RS to right and follow it up with a push to UP left. It shimmies and hooks. But it doesn't award me green success.
Any online player would bite on the first move you give them let alone the next 5 he’s showing every time…, no one knows about post game, myself included
It is a lot! But you have to start with understanding the basics! So focus on the backdown to fades, from there, combo with the spin counters, once you nail that down, slowly expand your game! Dont worry about the extra stuff, focus on the basics!
@@KevinCruz016 woah an instant reply. Thank you very much Sir. Currently consuming your content with these tutorials. I've been playing NBA2K24 for 2 months now and I don't see progress that's why I'm here.
They're easy to do ironically, but what's difficult is to be able to use them properly. So much is dependent on your ability to create the space needed to be able to execute a shot in close quarters. Mid post fades and face up drives are easy. But Hakeem/Embiid/Jokic style post work down low is the toughest to execute
