I was 15 when this program first aired in the UK and watched it religiously for the first 9 years, and did my best to follow it when I moved to Denmark in 1999. It is incredible how sharp Paul and Ian have always been in their observations and quick remarks, especially Paul who is king of the quick remark and come-back. If this is the very last series then I feel it is a great loss. This sort of comedy is what I miss most about life in Britain, no matter how dark or bleak the sitation we could always find something to laugh at.
Not the last series Neither Ian nor Paul were that well-known in 1990 yet they've become famous and its a programme that is a fixture in the schedules now, especially as there seems to be less comedy (of this type) around lately

Being from America, I'm constantly surprised at how much the British know about what's going on over here. I knew very little about politics, etc. in the UK, until I started watching shows like this. Unless it's about the British royal family, the AstraZeneca covid vaccine, or the recent crazy British football scam/mess...we don't hear much about it. I'm assuming because we're so messed up, we can't be bothered with other's news. I for one, think that we need the distraction! Lol

What the hell is the point of inviting a blind comedian to a program like this where photos are shown, you're meant to identify the news items, comment on what's happening in those photos, provide captions... It boggles the mind.
