Have fun doing this savage tier! Managed to see Echo prog it live and it was crazy, gg to them. Also, The new mount is really perfect for Lalfells. Hope you get it.
We demand a formal apology for your slanderous defamation of the vod watcher community and a statement that we are in fact superior to the stream peasants.
To be fair the p10 boss is showed in the 6.4 patch trailer so most people that like to see the the trailers and the live letters won't consider what the boss looks like as spoilers since it was teased in the patch trailer
Pint being one of the only streamers I know to *really* listen and love the music throughout the game just adds extra awesome to the awesomeness that is Pint
I always wondered why Lahabrea was a mustacio twirling villain while all the other Ascians got sympathetic lore explanations. Turns out his wife made a rock that makes you butt fuck insane, and he's just been carrying that shit around like whatever. Who would've guessed? 🤷
emet didnt know about the heart of sabik's corrupting power though, and we can probably also assume that the "faith" component needed in primal summoning is dynamis as well as creation magicks.
@@PintVodscant wait for them to reintroduce Auricite and the High Seraph as a race (from space) who warp the Dynamis inside a soul to control similar to how Primals warp the Aether in the body.
On top of possessing the Heart of Sabik and body hopping, Lahabrea did reabsorb Hephaistos back into himself at the end there. The worst parts of him further tainted by Athena's mad desires. All those combined probably would have turned him into the cackling madman we see in ARR. It all clicked for me nicely when I saw the cutscene of Lahabrea reabsorbing Hephaistos.
I think the crazy got enhanced in 2.0, he spent the same time post final days as Emet and Eli and they mentally did not do great either, add on the fact that Athena's essence was in the heart of sabik and likely why he repeats her line when casting Ultima in the mid fight ultima weapon cutscene, a little bit of her slipped through.
Of the Unsundered, Elidibus deserves rest the most. He gave himself, all of himself, to his duty. Emet broke under the weight of what was lost, and Lahabrea lost his mind trying to live up to his personal expectations. Everything that Themis was was smeared into a haze when he became Zodiark. As much as I wish we could have kept him, he deserves the peace of sleep.
A general mistake people make is that they assume that it is tempering that guides their hands. It is not. Their duty comes before everything for them, to those they failed, to those they can still save by Zodiarks restoration that still dwell inside him.
Fun thing I noticed about Cocytus, The mage and warrior souls get sent back into the cage, but the Behemoth soul escapes :D Also in regard to the music for P12, It has Heavy Yuki Kajiura inspired vibes, she did music to the hack anime/game series (the group that performed it was called See-Saw) and lots of other animes/games. She also did music for another group called Kalafina, (Red Moon is one of my faves and P12 is Very similar).
For those a little confused, leading theory by in game characters as well, is that High Seraph's Ultima auracites found their way to Athena in ancient times, way before High Seraph found a way to corrupt Ivalicians. Ultima was heh, ultimately, alien in origin. The ascian version of Ultima is always a one off, whereas high seraph's and improved versions that rely less on aether and more on technology / otherwise magic can be fired multiple times in succession. Which... is indicating that while Athena was a slightly unstable person initially, she most probably got corrupted by High Seraph just like the Ivalicians.
To be fair, Athena was likely a cracked person from the get-go or had the potential to become extremely bad based on what Lahabrea says about the auracite removing one's inhibitions. It just got way worse once she discovered Ultima's auracite. As an aside, I would love for the game to go further into the High Seraph's alien origins seeing as it and its auracite could have likely crashed into Etheirys in the ancient times.
No, it was confirmed that while the auracite amplify her desire, Athena has always been crack up. The stone doesnt made her bad, it only made her worse
Athena's design during her fight all but confirm she directly met or otherwise was directly influenced by the High Seraph, given its similarities to the High Seraph's Demi-Virgos, and the fact that Athena literally creates recolored Demi-Virgos during the fight. She's obviously either seen these minions or their design has been imprinted on her mind somehow.
I need to remember that despite Athena ending up being crazy till the very end, Lahabrea still saw something in her to cause both of them to give birth to Ericthonios. This was indeed a great raid. Such a sad, dysfunctional family this turned out to be. In just one patch content, they writers were able to make someone like Athena as unlikeable as possible. Mother of the year recipient right here. 10:56 Woah WTF rude 😡 30:06 Welp, see you next week! 1:18:28 Such an uplifting remix, and against such a great friend/foe. You can definitely see where the Zodiark designs are taken from. 1:31:31 Sadly there seems to be no other way that story ends. They were even hinting that outcome from the earlier raids that once we've proven we're ready, they can finally rest. 1:42:26 This was a perfect medley of all Pandaeonium themed songs. And now, we hear it from the perspective of Athena herself. I love how her Ultima attack is word for word the same as what Lahabrea said in Praetorium. 2:04:00 Hits me in the feels everytime, both of their parting lines are perfect for what they ended up becoming. 2:17:15 Someone send this to Jeremy Ang Jones in twitter. 2:28:43 Full circle, he finally embraced the crazy. Funny how his Esuna-type spell used to heal Hegemone's mind is also a fire spell. 2:47:06 It may still be useful in future expansions, and Sharlayan is no stranger to dangerous knowledge and artifacts, like the Atomos that help us with the void problem. 2:47:51 Thank you SE for giving him a voiced sendoff. Also, agree with Pint. I myself would like to hear how crazy they can make Valens in the Sorrows of Werlyt.
I hope this does not sound cringe but Pint is my actual favorite streamer and content creator. I actually sit through the vods in their entirety on Twitch before the RU-vid vods come out. Pint proves that all you need is courage and belief in yourself to go from a nobody to a comfortable entertainer. While I don't think I could be as funny as Pint, I can't deny the desire to try. Pint is like level 30 creator IRL and is well on the way to being level 90. Thanks Pint.
Can I just say, with all the absolute bangers [of songs] we've had this expansion, the Primals concerts at each of the Fanfests are going to be INSANE.
funny story about Golbez EX it was the exact opposite for me on p10s and you can also make the argument that the boss would've been dead with a BLM instead on going to gale 3 KEKW
1:14:40 "Themis would never have wished to be your enemy." HMMMMM. HMMMMM, DUNNO ABOUT THAT ONE, ERIC. HMMMMM, GUESS THOSE RESEARCHERS DIDN'T TELL YOU ABOUT MY ADVENTURES IN THE FIRST, ERIC. HMMMM... Also, the "I shall never die" line is maybe the funniest joke in the entire game.
Yeah, them closing the loop on lalabread made sense but letting the researchers keep the Heart without any sign of strict restrictions, forbidden section access only is a little sus
1:42:00 I don't know if it's a deliberate reference, but it sounds *very* similar to the opening theme from Final Fantasy Unlimited, the very mid FF anime with an incredibly hype "emo dude fires his super-special summoning gun once an episode" sequence.
RU-vid stopped recommending me your vods and somehow I wasn't subbed??? This raid tier was sick anyhow and your reactions/theories are great as always , now I have like a month of msq vods to watch too lol
as an occasional SMN, i get that DPS rezzing healers high. oh, the number of comms I could've gotten rezzing another wiped out alliance's healers in many an alliance raid... one can only imagine...
I enjoyed the MSQ, but I enjoyed this way more. I did it first because the spoilers started early on twitter and I'd already had the third raid spoiled by the time I was able to log on and start it all...which was only lunch time PST and it drops at like 3am. People had no shame just posting things this time around q.q ♥♥♥ hopefully the comments this time aren't as bad as you were saying they've been
Wasn't the "Lahabrea Sword" actually Lahabrea being trapped inside the Dragon Eye that was a part of the sword? Estenien got those eyes and then destroyed them at the end of Stormblood? I remember thinking Estenien fucked up when he destroyed the eyes (stabbed them with his spear in the royal garden looking area where Zenos tried to off himself, i believe) because they could have released Lahabrea's "essence".. Nothing ever came of that but i was sure Laha was gonna pop back up in a new body so much that when the reveal of an Ascian being in Zenos' body happened, i knew 100% it was Laha!! (it was actually Elidibis lul)
Ko-kai-tos, as in the river in hell from Dante's inferno. It eats 3 souls during this fight, one of which belongs to a Behemoth. The mage is theorized to be Shantotto herself, but nothing so sure. No idea who could the monk be, sadly.
How did Themis know the WoL was coming? I assume the WoL told Venat that Ellidibus sent them into the past because he had seen the WoL there. When the WoL went back to the future, they hadn't met Themis yet, so Venat deduced that the WoL would come back to meet Themis. Venat then told Azem, and Azem in turn told Themis. And somewhere along the way in this game of telephone, the fact that the WoL was from the future got left out.
Venat most likely kept that we were from the future when she spoke about us to Themis and Azem, although she probably never knew that we had return to Elpis a second time.
@@BlindFuryPR Themis might have told her after Pandaemonium that he had worked with the WoL, especially if the theories that Themis and Venat are related hold any water. If nothing else, I'd expect that next time Themis sees or talks to Venat that he'd thank her about his "Guiding Star" even if the details of Pandaemonium are kept secret.
Kinda weird that Elidibus, friend of Azem, doesn't recognize (or at least point out) you using her crystal to summon your buddies in place of his phantom allies. Especially given how your nature was a mystery for him to solve, seems like a point that wasn't really resolved. Still a great tier though, much better than snorebez and the whole void thing past 6.2
The crystal was made in secret, as Hythlodaeus indicates when he gives us it. So when we fight him in the seat of sacrifice he can recognize it as ancient Magick but can’t really comprehend why, since only a select few knew about it at all.
Themis saw us as Azem's pet... I mean familiar. So, of course Azem's familiar has old magic, cause that's just so Azem. Elidibus has scrambled eggs for memories + Azem's memory crystal being made in secret, as pointed out by MrDfrose. So, that point was already solved.
While I really liked Themis' arc and that we finally got to fight "the real Elidibus", the Athena plotline wrap-up was a bit underwhelming. If she was that powerful and insane, she might as well have been the one responsible for the Final Days. My biggest issue, however, was the difficulty. These mechanics, on Normal at least, felt so much more simple, predictable and forgiving than any previous raid tiers on release. Maybe early Alexander was as easy but this is level 90 and we've learned so much.
the one thing i dislike personally about this raid series' story, and its a minor thing, a preference thing: is that they just let it be that Lahabrea would just Be Like That. They had a whole concept set up where Lahabrea's batshitness was from him literally splitting his soul in two, and sealing it into a crystal. The batshit evil crap he did during ARR/HW could have easily been "oh the Actual Lahabrea was offed and they found his old crystal in Pandy, and saw it was still Him, and *that* is why he's nutso, cause its only HALF of him. the Asshole Half." but no he's just like "...all that stuff you said this...future me did...yeah. yeah i could see that happening, if i thought it was for the sake of everything." Like...really dude? i suppose it helps that Emet himself said that body-hopping constantly along with the multiple thousands of years degraded his sanity further but still...
