The main problem is people just want to talk about God and the Bible but don't want to do the work. The Bible says don't just be a hearer but a doer of the word. Its easy to just talk about God because it requires minimal effort. They don't want to think. People don't want to deny their flesh. They don't want to have discipline and self-control. They don't want to change either. They want to do whatever they want and still be considered save and get no consequences too.
This is what I see in a lot of of the free grace movement. When you tell them to repent of sins and they are like how many do you have to be saved or they call it works. If you just say repent in general they call in works. If you try to tell them that a true believer will live a changed or show evidence of salvation they will call it backloading works or front loading. If you tell them they can’t live in their sin they will justify by saying we live in the flesh. No matter what it sounds like a license to sin. It just sounds like they are just going by what the Bible says about the gospel and professing belief and they are saved. I even one admit to me that they love their sin.
I mean they are saved by grace if they truly change their mind put their faith in Yeshua. But it does seems like they either forget or don't want to know that there is a wrestling flesh because of the new man that's in you and how God will chastise his children. So outside looking in we can't really know if they're saving we can only observe
whats done in the dark will always come to light 🤷🏽♀️ hence why the majority of the leadership in his ministry left towards the end of 2023. unfortunately many people have a blind loyalty to him. i’ve been there before myself. i was in that ministry for 6 years until the Lord opened my eyes to the idolization, spiritual abuse, and things happening behind closed doors. i been saying 2024 is the year of exposure. it’s up to you if you choose to see it or keep your eyes shut.
Yes Paul said you won’t understand but he also said it edifies you but seek to edify others. He didn’t tell people not to do it he just said if you do it go speak to yourself. He’s just telling the Corinthian church how to keep order when people speak. ”Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order.“ 1 Corinthians 14:39-40 KJV
Yeah Corey you are right! You can't get it unless you study. I learned a lot when I was in prison even up to now, but I realize you got to study, pray and read Even when you don't want to. RJ brother
I was waiting on this! Thank you!! So happy that my family as well as many others left this covering to which he also ended up cursing us & bringing many against us. God you always get the Glory & you always reveal!!!
Amen brother Corey!!! It’s so vital to know God’s Holy Word (can’t say it enough). So many want to speak from emotions only and be so deep that it draws you in. Don’t take the bait!!!!!! If it can’t be backed up with scripture, it’s a lie. Be blessed brother🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
PEACE AND BLESSINGS. EVERY1 WANTS TO SEE MORE AND GO DEEPER.. LET S JUST GET OUT AND HELP THE WIDOW S and OPHANS, visit those in JAIL. AND FEED THE HUNGRY..
Cory, (Paraphrase) " you never hear Paul,Peter,James and John praying tongues". Paul mentions himself praying in tongues. 1 Corinthians 14:18 "I thank God that I speak in tongues more than all of you." Speaking in tongues doesn't benefit the one hearing, unless it's interpreted. But it does benefit the one speaking, as it builds up one's spirit. 1 Corinthians 14:4 "Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church."
And the craziest part is that he picked the chapter himself, but doesn’t read verse 18? I think that was kind of disingenuous from his part. Some people will rather defend their church denomination’s point of view rather than what the says clearly. You cannot tell me you read 1 Corinthians 14:14-19 and still believe that tongues do not exist.
Cory believes what he wants to believe. I remember that Dr Michael Brown discussion. He was explaining to him with scripture, and yet still here we are.@@bugsbenny
I was looking for this type of comment. Thank you because he definitely overlooked- whether intentionally or unintentionally- that verse. Also tongues are spoken by disciples in acts chapter 2. Not sure how he disregarded these verses.
Obviously, Corey does not have the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues, according to Acts chapter 2. I like Corey, but he needs to understand how the Holy Spirit operates.
We have to allow God’s Word to be enough. Let’s seek greater understanding and application in our lives, as opposed to making up things that aren’t there.
Did he say more things. I had followed Saiko for a long time but when he just wouldn't let Corey Minor be and continued with what I would call shenanigans there was nothing new to say about Corey Minor speakers on his life often. I had to stop listening to him and unfollow we are to encourage people tell the gospel teach gospel. I am thankful that I learned Smart Christian ironically watching BCV.
😅 It legit is just a gift his father gave him. The “many colors” are noted in scripture to point how nice it was, how special it was. To the point where his brothers were provoked to jealousy. Lol “this stripe represents the pit” 😂😅 no, bro. No.
I can’t speak mysterious but I don’t knock people who can. I don’t care because I utilize my gifts. Corey is one of the best teachers I’ve ever heard so I don’t get all the back and forth.
@Corey Minor - so if I don't pray in tongues, does that mean that God limits himself and me as well as deprives me if drawing near to him. That makes no sense. Please advise
I had more than ten years on my kid brother but I was not jealous nor envious of him. He was surrounded by his much older siblings who doted on him and spoiled him.
This reminded me of something I see and hear a lot about from some Christians. Is there any biblical reference or proof that some people are “prayer warriors” and that their prayers are somehow more powerful or more meaningful than us regular praying Christians?
I have a question for you bible scholars. When reading 1Cor14 in its entirety, is it possible that the words "prayer" and "speak" are used interchangeably? Also in summary isn't Paul just telling us that if you pray or speak in tongues, ask God for the gift of prophecy so you can build up others?
I challenge you to look up John Osteen’s teachings about Speaking in Tongues and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. I have never spoken in tongues so I can relate to you… nevertheless, let’s not limit God to our experiences especially when praying in tongues is scriptural. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8)… don’t be discouraged, don’t feel like you are less of a believer. Keep your focus on Jesus! And remember we are many members, differing offices, different gifts Romans 12:4-8 1 Corinthians 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
It's the dreams that gave insight, not a cloth. People want a cup or cloth they want to skip the faith part of the miracle. Your soul is to with the holy spirit to talk your deeper needs to God only. They want glory not to glorifying of God.
II Timothy 3:15-16 NKJV [15] and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. [16] All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, Because some people don't meditate on the Word they miss out on the many layers that already exist. They attempt to create their own layers conceived in their minds.
Corey. Just because you do it don’t believe it and its often improperly used just like in Corinth doesn’t mean it is not authentic. It is a supernatural act and a mystery. For this reason anyone who speaks in a tongue should pray that he may interpret what he says. For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unfruitful. So what shall I do? I will pray with my spirit, but I will also pray with my mind; I will sing with my spirit, but I will also sing with my mind.
One thing lm trying to understand: Why would God who is the source of all mysteries drop a mystery in our spirits...without showing us the meaning or relevance of it...and have us repeat that mystery back to Him, in a language neither us nor those around us can understand ? Any insights?
Isn't that layers message from Shrek? About how onions have layers like Ogres. The coat was more of a testament to the love of his Father, because back then it was hard to get many colors for a coat and very expensive
This is why so many people will be among the five foolish virgins instead of the five wise. and they will be outside the gate when the bridegroom comes because they are so busy preaching instead of studying and practicing God's laws and ordinances. David said in Psalms 119:151 You are near, O Lord, And all Your commandments are truth.
@Smart Christian Life, you can get a Joseph coat in real life. It's called a Coogi Sweater. 😂😂😂. Jk. But srsly, that coat was probably an arm and a leg due to the dye process. Joseph, the Jesus type. A preserver of life for both Jews and non-Jews, sold for silver by his brothers (foreshadowing Jesus).
Some things I can testify regarding our issue is wanting to accept Jesus as our Savior but not our Lord. They want to remain in sin because they have this simple mindset that since Jesus died for our sins we can still continue in sin. They want to have a plan B when God's way is sufficient enough.
Corey doesn't interpret the scriptures to well. Why didn't you finish reading the verses, Corey. Verse 14 shows that when you pray in a tongue, your spirit is praying. And when your spirit is praying your mind is idle/unfruitful....But In verse 15 Paul states he will use both tongues (the spirit) and his mind.....So Paul used BOTH. Point out all scriptures not just what you want to highlight for your point.
@@manisymone8622 please…are you reading for comprehension???Paul makes the the distinction. He says “mind” and he says spirit. Based on context he tells you that he will “pray with his spirit” which earlier in the verses he makes synonymous with “tongues” then he says he will”pray with his mind” which he makes synonymous with understandable language.😳
Tbh I think many desire to speak/pray in tongues because it's shown in the new testament as evidence and a sign that the Spirit is pouring in you. Acts 2. Acts 10. The same thing happened when two different nations of people received the Spirit. When Paul said what he said in Corinthians it was for order. IDK why people are so against tongues tbh but God knows all.
This prophetic stuff getting out of hand already everything so prophetic now… I didn’t realize GOD gave prophecies to wolves… We got more prophets today than in the Bible times.
JEREMIAH 10:21 For the pastors have become brutish and have not sought The Lord : therefore they shall not prosper, and all their flock shall be scattered. Jeremiah 12:10 Many pastors have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made My pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.
What else is important is, you and I CAN speak in unknown tongues all day long, and none of this happens if we decided to do it. Charismatics (of which I was one for 20 years) always say the bible is NOT that important. So going to the text is NOT what charismatics admit is the right way to test a doctrine, spirit, or preacher.
Appreciate your view. However, you're not altogether right either. God is not the only one who takes life, but he is the only one who has the power to send to hell. Matthew 10:28 28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Our days may be numbered, but they can come to an untimely death. Isaiah 57:1-2 NLT Good people pass away; the godly often die before their time. But no one seems to care or wonder why. No one seems to understand that God is protecting them from the evil to come. For those who follow godly paths will rest in peace when they die. People can die before their time. Your presented logic would suggest that all murder is then in god's timing. And if in his timing, then why the guilt of sin?
You know everytime i hear this ‘unlock’ from so called preachers, i be like, what do you mean unlock? This is not a game. Jesus already broke the veil! People that’s why you read your bibles Jesus said dont be deceived.
@@abellewis3062 No, it really doesn't read the chapter. Get understanding. That verse is talking about living recklessly and getting your self killed. God said it is "appointed" for a man to die. No one dies unless God ALLOWS it.
I’ve seen so many videos of you talking about tongues and saying that this unknown tongue is not praying to God. Well my question is what is prayer? I really would love to have a conversation on this topic
Perfect question 😁... I would suggest looking up the original Hebrew words for prayer... Avodah - serving God with our hearts. Teffilah - which denotes the concept of being intimate and close to God... And includes the part of requesting our needs from the one who is able to sustain us.
Jesus taught us how to pray, great example of prayer. He spoke in a known language so the disciples and us could understand. Matthew 6:7-15 [7] “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. [8] Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. [9] Pray then like this: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. [10] Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. [11] Give us this day our daily bread, [12] and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. [13] And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [14] For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, [15] but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. If it was good for Jesus it is good for me.
@@jesusislord9707 perfectly put but your forgetting 1 thing. Understand that Jesus was one that would pray for hours at a time go to sleep then wake up early that same morning and pray. Jesus prayed for hours at a time yet he tells his disciples don’t think you will be heard for your much speaking (just like the heathen would do.) so hmmm….. 🤔 Jesus will never contradict himself… we know this and neither will his word contradict itself. So why would Jesus pray for hours on in after virtue was being pulled from him because of the miracles signs and wonders he performed yet tell his disciples the heathen think they would be heard for their much speaking so don’t be like them. The answer is simple because Jesus was truly filled with the Holy Spirit and his spirit prayed with tongues. But it’s hard for ppl that never spoke in real tongues(unknown) or experienced anyone else speaking in real tongues with interpretation to grasp praying in an unknown tongue. And my initial question was rhetorical prayer is simply communication with God. That’s why when they asked him how to pray he gave them a simple example. We all share a common infirmity which is we don’t know what to pray for as we ought. But the spirit maketh intercession. And guess what it’s not with groanings the Holy Spirit doesn’t groan. He only SPEAKS what he hears john16:13!!!!!! Tell this gentlemen in the video to do a Greek brake Down on Roman’s 8 and look up mark 16:15-17
" you don't know what you're praying, but the spirit knows what to pray " What if the spirit is an unclean spirit and he's causing you to blaspheme God and you're cheering and saying " yeah ! , amen ! "
@sharifsmith6090 You completely misinterpreted what Jesus told the disciples. He didn't say they shouldn't pray alot, he said they shouldn't pray using empty phrases or just using empty words, God doesn't want vain babbling. This is exactly what the prophets of Bael were doing, they were praying empty phrases to Bael, these are the heathens Jesus is warning thwm not to be like. Another example of the empty phrases would be the repetitions of the Hail Mary that the Catholics do or the vain repetitions the Muslims do. In fact, Paul told the believers to pray without ceasing, so there is no contradiction with what Jesus said. Praying in the spirit applies to any prayer from a person who has the spirit of God. The Spirit indeed intercede for us in groans none of us can hear nor understand, That is not speaking in tongues. The bible is clear God God must be worshipped in Spirit and in truth. One must have the Spirit of God to be in communing with him, this applies to all believers whether they can speak in tongues or not. One can pray to God in English, Spanish, Hebrew and God hears them all the same. Speaking in tongues does not give anyone any head of the line privileges. Matthew 6:7-8 [7] “And when you pray, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. [8] Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
If it's not in the Bible, it's man and in his traditions. For example, "Come as you are." Mark 7:8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.
The coat may have just been made of every kind of available animal skin, every shade of animal skin they had, not a rainbow coat like you always see in pictures.
