Last February, Triyoga London organized an event for de-stressing the nation: The Big Breathe. Listen to the recording and take a deep breath with Max. More about breath work: maxstrom.com
Thank you so much Max! I’ve been having major anxiety all week as I taper off a medication. It’s been a long slow taper. One I started in October. But the last few months of taper where I’m nearing the finish line have been extremely challenging mood-wise. Had severe depression for about a month and a half and thank Hod that’s gone! I was fine for a few weeks, but now has arrived insane anxiety and chest pain. I’ve tried all my counseling & grounding skills I’ve learned, but nothing has worked. I just did 4 of your breathing videos and with each one I felt a bit of chest pain disappear. Your talk of grief and anxiety being related (in another video) so rang true. I deeply grieve the loss of my ptecuious mom who was my best friend and died way too young from ALS. She died 12 years ago! I would have thought I’d be healed by now. But I will try my best to be kind to myself, not judge myself and keep working my breathing. Thank you so so much for your lessons! I am truly grateful. You are such a wise person with such a soothing voice and such a gentle caring heart. I feel so blessed to have been led me to you and your great peace. See you again soon, my new friend, whom actually feels like a friend my soul has known forever. ☺️🌈🌿💦
Dear Kristen, I am so glad that you are using your breath to access your grief. Most of us have so much bottled up within us and it comes out as anxiety. Keep up the good work and remember that grief does not know time. There is no correct time frame. Sincere regards my friend ~ Max
I've listened to some Ted Talks from Max and I instantly needed to check out all his videos! this one is so simple and yet so powerful! I know the focus here is on breathing techniques, but I cannot help but wonder wether the visualization is so deep and meaningful because of the breathing exercise that precedes it, or if in the right circumstances it would "work" even without it.
I went looking for you as I am reading your book. This breathing i do but always through the nose as I learned Buteyko method however I always arrive with open mind & curiosity & willingness to explore. This has been a beautiful experience for me as I sit this morning with much relying on me in life to be strong, kind, compassionate and kind hearted and forgiving. I thank you for your wisdom & teaching 🙏🏻
The lump needs to come up and out. I imagine it has already happened and you have had a good cry. Thank you for reaching out to me. Sincere regards ~ Max
oohh you're good Mr Strom! You are good! The in-out sounded exercise made me smile and happy. And of course, the visualization seems to make everyone cry. Thank you for your teachings. I will jump on your program full committed. I feel a strong calling for breath healing.
@@MaxStromOfficial I bought your sleep product and have used the 12 min one. Tonight I plan on using the longer one. It's lovely. And I am flooded with joy to read your answer! I found your Ted Talk 2016 years ago and was hypnotized by your voice. Never forgot that presentation and have shared it with many friends.

Hi Max, Just wondering, is it imperative/ more beneficial to do some of these exercises with the mouth open or can the ALL be done with mouth closed and breathing through the nose? Love your work. Leigh
Q: Did both exersices yesterday evening. Woke up in the night and had terrible self-hatred inside. Could fall asleep again. Woke up this morning and did the big breath. I went pretty disorganised and so tired I almost can not leave bed (feels like collapse). I have c-ptsd. Is this normal? Any tips? 🙏🏼💕
Dear Anna, because of what you described, I recommend that you only do this with someone with you who you trust deeply and who you can share your emotions with. You may have a big cry that needs to erupt and it is more healing if you have someone who can let you have your feelings without you faring being shunned. If you work with a therapists and thrust them, try doing it at the beginning of a session. And remember, you matter, your presence matters, and there are people who don't know what they would do without you. Kind regards ~ Max
@@MaxStromOfficial Thank you Max. Yes, there is a big cry inside. I am letting it go little by little. I will bring this to the therapist room. I guess my sensitive nervoussystem got overehelmed and had a release way out of tolerance. That, I need to avoid. I am wondering; can I do the big breath but "smaller"? With less effort, expanding the chest less? I will try... Yesterday I did the 5 min heartbreath at your playlist. That worked better. I turn the love twords myself, and not so much out in the room. Right now I will practice this again, making it double. I am SO GREATFUL finding your resourses. I love your work and authenticity. Lifechanging. 🙏🏼💖
