Just placed an order of my new boxplunge yesterday. I'm very excited to get it setup and start using it on a daily basis. 32 degrees is exactly what I've been looking for. Simon, the owner, was very responsive and very helpful in helping me to make this purchase. And thank you, David, for posting this video review. It helped me to make decision in favor of Boxplunge over the Plunge All-In.
11:07 note you can easily take the whole filter off without opening it as claimed in the video. I spot a union valve that's meant to do that. No need to replace a filter as described in the video.
@ks123458 I love it. It's efficient and very quiet. One of my deciding factors was that it gets colder than most. It was this or the firecold plunge. After seeing the firecold when I hit a gym in cape may it seemed tiny
@andrewkim8360 basically dimensions. I wanted one that I could put in my basement. The firecold would have been a tight fit. Now that I have had it for months, I really enjoy it. I do like that it gets colder,I keep mine at 35. Not to mention I saw what was to be the same sized firecold plunge at a gym in cape may and it looked tiny.
There’s a reason I never talk about them. No offense to anyone who likes them but I’ve had way too much feedback, all negative. So I stick with that works. If you see a review from me, it’s because the product has been tested by me and it’s worth mentioning.
Glad to find this video. Still almost no reviews of this. I like the entry price but don't really want the tiny model. Sucks to pay $800 more :( looking to get this in a year maybe
Hey David, was considering going the ice chest diy route because how affordable/ convenient it is, I’ve seen a lot of great videos on how to do it, but I’m curious what other safety concerns are u worried about if u just unplug it before use?? Thanks in advance!
I wonder about the durability and reliability of the chiller assuming it is similar to a box freezer chiller and not designed to do what it is doing in this type of application. Do you have any knowledge on the chiller? It's not really addressed on the Icebox website. I would lean toward more commercial chillers like those you've talked about on other videos, coupled with Ice Barrel and others. Thank you for all of your videos and insights, very helpful!
regarding the 'con' that water ceases to circulate after you get in, doesn't moving your limbs a little solve that problem? It seems to work in frozen lakes etc
Nice one mate that’s like my first chest freezer DIY it did get cold, but always feel a little cramped for space. The Odin Icebath is a true icebath that also gets down to 0° Celsius, and produces its own ice, which I like it aroundt 5° Celsius but the stainless steel sides are so cold and produce ice on the surface on the inside walls🥶. A good four minutes is all you need for the day?😉✌🏻
Thanks! I thought so at first, but they are all passing in the chest through a clip that keeps the hoses from being crimped by the lid. I don’t think there will be any damage
bro just buy a chest freezer and do it right, i have the same one as he does in his video, its a 14.8 cf Frigidaire an cost me 530$ with additional water filter an ozone an supplies for keeping water from leaking id say all together round 800$ but way better then paying 3k or 5k like what a joke these companies are for robbing peps. like the place this guy is advertising for is a rip off all they are is a chest freezer but with a lil extra safety protocol's like who cares just buy a GFCI OUTLET and make sure you turn off all power before getting in, that simple as i use my chest freezer every day now for over a year an had no issues
