I haven't been in the comics scene for a while, so I hadn't heard about Comicstorian's passing until now. This is so sad, I used to watch him all the time!
Personally, I thought he was annoying, but he seemed like a great guy generally speaking. I can see why people liked him so much. I kinda wish we would get an answer about what happened. I have a sneaking suspicion that it was his own doing given the secrecy around the event.
@@FringeSpectre WTF are you talking about? It was released that he passed in a single vehicle car accident, that was even said in this video. Why are u implying he committed suicide and being a pri9ck about out
@FringeSpectre it was given with rage because you said something dumb and insensitive about someone that died. Of course people are going to be annoyed
@@FringeSpectreyour first go to in hearing someone has died is to announce to the world that you thought they were annoying blah blah blah then state that they killed themselves... from this one comment i can just tell that you talk shit all day every day with no thought involved. Your that guy that everyone roles their eyes at as soon as they start speaking because they all know its going to be bullshit.
The Sympathizer is an incredible series! Being of Vietnamese heritage I found it refreshing to see this war in a perspective that isn’t really shown in western media. The acting, cinematography, and plot structure, I found to be very compelling from start to finish. This is not a spoiler, RDJ playing multiple roles is addressed at some point in the series, however, don’t expect them to just answer why with exposition. 10/10 would recommend
"His name.. was Mr Sunday, a can-cracking rebel who roamed the wastelands of the outback, always in search of new and creative ways to befuddle and bewilder his co-host. His name is legend, as are his deeds."
Yeah Preacher was great. I read the books years ago and liked them, the show did a good job of capturing the gleefully over-the-top shenanigans from the original
I liked it, and loved it intermittently, but I don't think Preacher was quite as good as it should be. It was the heroes I think. The show spent every season pulling them apart, but didn't put enough time in to making them awesome together, so I never really cared.
I, for one, desperately want to listen to James and Maso suffer through the excruciating experience that is promised by the emo-boy retitled Chalice of Blood and Curse of Forgiveness. WHATTTT I'VE DONE.... ERASE MYSELF....
Ive recently watched the movie "War of Worlds" with Tom Cruise. WTF was that? Tom Cruise is a NY dock worker? He looks and talks like an LA Divorce Lawyer. And Tim Robbins? Why?
The reason to remake Harry Potter shows is because the movies cut out like 2/3rds of the books past the 2nd film. Anyways Harry Potter fans should fall back on the books not the movies, hopefully the show will be a lot more faithful
Finally, with the soda opening bit I have my OWN in-joke I know the context to! Now I know how people who know why Maso plays the letters theme from his phone feel!
You should feel how good it is to know what the pod was before the times of "a big sandwhich" hell even before james had a kid, weird. Not as a brag obv but I have been consuming this content for so long that they have done caravans of garbage on multiple movies they have reviewed themselves, which is honestly so much fun to go back and listen to
The funny thing about The Boys was that I read through the entire comic run in anticipation of the show, but after I finished, I no longer had any desire to watch. I've heard that the show is significantly better than the comic, but eh. I was just so tired of superhero edginess.
I might be wrong, but I believe that Homelander can't see through zinc, not lead. So the ducts being made of a zinc alloy makes sense, as opposed to lead.
Alsoooooo we did learn who noir is in this universe and it’s not a clone it was a man who was incredibly damaged in the 70s when the Russians took soldier boy
I am not sure. I assume we are getting an "Empire strikes back" season. I do believe the season 4 of Supernatural set itself up for a hero comeback in season 5 too.
Just found the comicstorian. What a shame. I never read comics.I had one friend who read comics and I hated that fucking kid. Started with Batman vs predator and wolverine vs predator and a history of wolverine. I don’t know if the writers know what a Wolverine is? Lots of wolf references no Wolverine references. This guy’s family must be devastated.
I love posting prices for my local movie theater. Generally good audiences, but definitely dated seats and screens. Still, a good big-screen experience. Tickets: $7 3-D tickets: $8 Matinee: $5 Large Popcorn: $7 Candy: $3 Large Soda: $4 Pretzel: $4 Can’t beat those prices.
I've got mad respect for this podcast and these 2 great podcasters - they always bring fun times and informative moments, and I've got mad respect for that. Sad about Comicstorian - possibly more than the MCU, he really got me back into comics a few years ago, listening to his videos got me interested in actually reading them. I'd fallen off a bit as he covered things that didn't interest me as much and as I had less of an interest in *listening to* comics instead of reading them, but I do attribute a decent amount of my decision to get the Midnight Suns game to him (and I really ended up liking it). I'll miss him. Sorry to keep hearing about the troubles with the Blade film. I hope this will eventually lead to a fantastic movie, but I am wary. Then again, after reading bits and pieces of his comic history...I don't care that much about Blade. The new Doom game looks cool, I like that chainshield. I'm not surprised The Boys is ending in season 5 - honestly, it has been feeling a bit like they've been trying to stretch it out without knowing exactly where they were going, some beats feeling repetitive or like they just want to extend it, etc. I hope Kripke & co. can bring it to a satisfying conclusion (can't say whether the source did, given I never got around to reading it, but I doubt they'll follow that ending).
21:10 Just last week I watched all of Reboot on RU-vid! You guys should look up the Musical Recap they played at the end of Season 3. It's wild what an emotional and character driven story they managed to tell. Wish I could have seen them in order as a kid.
Does multiple man ever fight with himself in Marvel? I don't mean the "I'm the real one" trope. I mean like physical fisticuffs and bickering. Like, I have a brother and we fight. I imagine if you are multiple man, a bit of a dick in the personality department, having several versions of that dick of a person would just result in mistakes, fights, arguments, potentially deaths. Just curious, not read much multiple man stuff
this episode had me giggling the whole way thru! 😂😅 and I need a new Star Fox game! or better yet a Star Fox Movie! shocked they haven't started development on it yet😮 u guys are awesome ❤always start my day laughing when u have a video premiering lol😊
This podcast would only be half as great as it is if either Maso or James could remember things. Forgetting the extensive Black Noir flashbacks from S3 had me waiting and waiting for the bit.
The jumpscare I got hearing James (attempt to) read out Abergavenny while I'm up the top of the mountain from there, wild lmao. It's a shame I missed the show, would have been nice
The thing with Sister Sage is a person can be smart or not but a person can also be damaged or not. Like with past traumas. And some people who are born smarter than those around them might have troubled and difficult childhoods. And then when they don't find their outlet - think famous physicists who were horribly troubled people - well, imagine if that person just sat around at home and ate Taco Bell and was isolated and could not utilize any of their inherant talents. You get a really smart person who feels the rest of humanity is useless and is filled with a lot of animosity. I haven't read the source material but I assume that is her backstory.
I took RDJ playing multiple different people in the Sympathizer as a representation of how the main character saw all the American that thought they were better than him as the same person. Kinda like a play on the stereotype that asians look similar
Yeah we learned about black noir all last season with the little cartoons and flashbacks to when soldier boy bashed half his skull making him a mute lol
