Lifting, loading, and cleaning up after a combine burnt in a field. www.paypal.me/RotatorRon If you like my videos.....tips appreciated but not required. www.midwesttruck.net/
I WOULD JUST LIKE TO POINT OUT TO ANY WANNABE RU-vidRS THAT THIS GUY IS MAN TO SET THE EXAMPLE FOR THE REST OF YOU IF YOU WANT SUCCESS TAKE HIS ADVICE I HAVE NEVER MET HIM PERSONALLY BUT I TRUST HIM LIKE I HAVE KNOWN HIM MY WHOLE LIFE HOW DOES HE DO THAT? IT'S CALLED INTEGRITY some youtubers are lazy slobs bad attitude and all but they still think they should get 800 million views or more to live the good life without having to go to work for a living i like an honest man and i would give him the shirt off my back if i thought he need it to all those who vote thumbs down get a life i would give him 10.000 likes if i could
steven herrold I've been watching some of his videos and I can say the guys top notch really respectful to everyone he comes across. He never complains about working make sure everyone's safe that's what missing from today's people they just go hard and attack it with no plan or any safety put in mind and get injured. If it takes you 5 hours too doo it then it takes you 5 hours I'd take safety over trying to rush the job.
steven herrold , I totally agree , the dedication this guy shows is remarkable , best of the best equipment I have ever seen . I have only done a little bit of heavy recovery but I fully get and understand this guy , I stand back in awe of the man and take my hat off too 😉
I totally agree with you. I only found his channel by accident (or was it) and you are correct. I'm in another country but would trust this man with my life. Well done on your comment. I don't like the haters either but just remember that even the haters build his channel, probably something they have never thought of. If they just left home alone, that would do more than making horrible comments do. "INTEGRITY IS WHAT A PERSON DOES WHEN NOBODY IS LOOKING".
Liked What Ya Said.;; My 36 Year Old Son Run A 90 Ton Rotator In San Diego, CA For Years . But After One To Many Check Pucker He Went Back To On The Road .
I've said it before and I'll say it again...there's no substitute for skilled operators! As a truck drive and a farm kid I HATE to see what causes your equipment to be needed but it always will be and I love watching it working. You and your crew are always safety minded and professional.
Ron your videos are helping me get my mind off of things, unfortunately cancer is about to take another family member away from me. Keep up the positive attitude and God bless you and your family..
Ron I have to say I love your videos what I love even more is that you ALWAYS put the safety of your crew before everything else. Keep up the good work.
Tandem lifting, four independent winches, estimated weight and CG really tests the best and you nailed it. Excellent demonstration of on how to guide and tutor your staff with safety top of the list. Best video so far. Thanks Ron
Been watching a couple videos of a tow company from the west coast and in no way do they compare to what you do with or without the row tator ( lol). They say a rotator costs to much but it takes them 10 times longer to get anything done so they can charge more.. Best invest you've ever done.
From one atheist to a religious man. I love the hell out of your videos. And I respect you. I can't wait to watch this new video about the burnt up farm implement your videos are so professional I want to drive a tow truck I'm working on it I'm working on my CDL permit
I greatly appreciate that. I hope that everyone, regardless of religion, sex, creed....whatever, will come together on this channel and make it a respectful of EVERYONE community. Thanks for your part. Best of wishes on your CDL.
Some people love creating a class divide or tribal warfare where there is none. Personally, I judge someone by what they do, and not what they are. We all mess up from time to time, just admit it, make amends if possible and move on. Just a pity that society seems to be going the other way.... deny that it happened, refuse responsibility and ignore it for as long as you can.
This channel is one of the most interesting and different I have come across. The knowledge of the mobile crane unit operator is amazing - and really is enjoyable to watch an expert get the job of removal/lift/push/rescue (or whatever)... getting the job done. Each video posted is so interesting to watch.
I love watching your videos.your very very respectful and considerate of others.my grandfather was too.he taught me to do the same.and his name was RON too.if everyone was that way the world would be a much better place.thanks for the great videos and may God bless you.
I'm beginning to think of Marty (trucker extraordinaire) as a part of your crew, lol. He seems so "been there, done that--- a thousand times"--- more than just about anyone I've ever seen (except maybe your dad). I love it. It denotes a lifetime of good, hard, solid---and SMART---work. Watching your videos keeps my hopes for this country alive. Thanks for posting them.
My uncle is a farmer. Many years ago he had an arson incident at one of the barns he rents on a customer's property. Someone had lit the hey on fire in the bar. It ended up burning several tandems (these are hey trailers), a soy bean drill (for planting soy beans), his brand new tractor (if memory serves me right it was an 8430), and about 1500 bales of hey... Another farmer just in the town over had an incident where hey spontaneously combusted (happens when put away wet or becomes wet) and he lost 2 of his 4 combines just before harvest season... See you do this reminded me of the careful work a towing company had to do for my uncle and his friend. Hard work, careful planning and experience goes a long way. Good job there Ron. Always respect the work you do. Keep it up!
Hey Ron, thanks for the inspiration with your videos. This and encouragement from family, and I'm making a career change from Retail Management and on Monday start training to be a rollback driver. I'm looking at a few years of experience and then putting my Management skills to use and starting my own shop. It's a crazy change, but I'm hugely looking forward to it! Wish me luck!
Many people don't understand how hard it can be lifting large vehicle that is burnt out and how you have to be on top of safety not just for yourself but for everyone around the job and the driver of the low loader kept going in,i understand he had to put his blocks in he was so relaxed in doing so! , thank you for sharing Ron Pratt as always stay safe.
Ron. Just wanna let you know. You are making me think of coming down there and visiting you lol. I am in New York, and 17. Your videos entertain me and keep up the great work!
Ron, a suggestion for you. Get 2 or 3 Motorola UHF radios along with the hands free accessories. Headset and boom mic, or throat mic. You can get these off of ebay used. Send them to a licensed place to set them to several of the GMRS frequencies. Use these for communication between you and another operator, or any other people involved in the job you are doing. This will greatly improve communications between you without having to yell to try and be heard/understood over both distance, and the background noise of the trucks. I can't imagine how this wouldn't add to the safety factor involved in these jobs. The reasons why I recommend the parameters I gave you are: Motorola is the workhorse of commercial radios, Getting used ones on ebay can save you big bucks and the chances are good that you'll get good radios, licensing for GMRS frequencies is much cheaper than going with registered business frequencies as well as virtually no boundaries on usage as you might have from private business frequency license. Of course one of the other advantages is that you can the two or three people in different locations to better view what's going on. You need UHF as the GMRS frequencies are in the range, vs FRMS which is in the VHF range. Also, the UHF frequencies will give you more range and less likely to have interference from buildings and the like.
Unfortunately, the FCC does not grant business use of GMRS frequencies any longer. It is also limited to one's family, which extends two generations before and after, including in-laws. Essentially everyone except the outlaws! :) Employees are not covered however... FRS (Family Radio Service) is also UHF (shares interstitial frequencies with GMRS. It is "Licensed by Rule" meaning one does not need a license. As of last year, FRS is allowed for business use. Given the short distances they'd be working with, 500 milliwatts is more than enough, up to 2 watts are now allowed, but the "fixed, non-removable antenna" rule still applies. There are several companies that sell tiny, shirt pocket sized transceivers for around $15 each that keeps costs down and are essentially disposable units. I have eight of them I keep in case I need to loan some out to volunteers of an emergency group I run here in Northwest Indiana. They are pretty much "idiot proof"... :) See: "WLN KD-C1 Rechargeable Mini Walkie Talkie, UHF 400-470Mhz Prefessional Two Way Radio with Desktop Charger, Belt Clip and Earpiece" on Amazon for $15.99 The VHF radios you allude to are the MURS (Multi-Use Radio Service) allocation. There are five "Licensed by Rule" frequencies available for family or business use.
I’ve experienced a machinery fire. It’s scary how fast a machine goes up. By nature these things are covering in oil and grease. From “something smells hot” to “smoke” to “completely engulfed was around a minute. A neighbor happened to drive by, he had a couple shovels in his truck. We were able to get dirt on the tires and save them.
Ron, Another great 'Team' effort with much attention to details and safety. Yes, I too was concerned for Marty, but he no doubt is no stranger to this line of work with regards to what, where, and when he should be to do what needed to be done. Cannot wait to view Ethan's drone footage. Well done!
Ron, you done it again. Made it look stupid easy when in fact it is extremely complicated and if you showed the math on screen it would likely blot out the whole video! Great recovery. Keep doing what you do and have a safe and blessed life.
Cant wait to see the drone footage !!! That is always an amazing perspective on any video... Thanks for doing what you do and how you do it .. Love watching you and your boys Work !!!
Thank you very much. I hope I get to use the drone footage. There are several questions about the legality of it that I am trying to find answers for. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Ron you have THE BEST professional recovery channel and I really enjoy your commentary from Columbus, Ohio...........sorry to see that combine in such bad shape. What a helpless feeling it must have been for that farmer to see so much money go up in flames :-(.
Never a dull moment at Midwest Truck. You and your crew are real Professionals, A wise man told me once.."The cream always rises to the top" you guys are a perfect example of that. May God Bless....stay safe
I am a new subscriber just wanted to thank you for the great videos and for being a believer and not afraid to show that you are, may God bless you and your family, Thanks again.
That appears to be a DJI Spark. The wife got me one for Christmas, and I’ll tell you, it is the easiest drone I have ever flown. very smooth and records in 4K.And btw, another great video Ron.
Another great video brother Ron. It's nice to see the teamwork that each of you have. I hope that nobody was injured in the fire. As always a devoted fan, God Bless you and yours always sir.
Love watching your vids my families company just got our first heavy, a Dangelo Custom Built 30ton our cities first heavy wrecker have a 16ton B&B but with a lil independant underlift that doesnt have no reach useless unless you sling everything, trying to learn the ropes a lil by watching you keep up the good work stay safe
Best of luck to you. I don't know everything, but I appreciate that you feel you can learn something from me. Personally, I continue to learn daily. Be safe. God bless.
Every professional should still be learning no matter how long you have been at it. I'm 20 years in the water well industry and still asking questions. Enjoy your videos, Kenny.
Hopefully the smell was gone by the time you had to deal with it. We had a couple trackhoes burn behind our office and it smelled awful for a couple of weeks until the insurance approved a salvage company to get them out. Anyway, stay safe out there Ron and crew; good work as always.
Hey Ron I’m a truck driver myself and I have seen many rollovers on the interstates and I have always wonder actually what goes on to get one back on it wheels. Thanks to your videos I can see this process first handed. Thank you and keep up the good work.
I have done my share of rigging. One of them was 130,000 and I had to lay it down coming out of the hole. Point being I know a good job when I see it. I hate it but I am going to have to give you an a plus on this one. Also an a plus on safety. Great job ron. 😀
Man, I love how you guys use a stair step method to raise that thing in the air in the beginning, it's probably a lot easier to cordinate than to try and raise both sides up at the same time.
Excellent teamwork gentlemen! Ya know Ron, I have watched this channel grow vary rapidly. That says a lot. Can't wait to see the drone footage of this one!
its about half a mill just for the combine pretty sure it was a Claas Lexion 770 TT. by the way grate lift Ron Pratt especially with an almost full grain tank would be about 7 tonne grain another 12.95 tonne of combine maybe a bit less with all the plastic burnt off.
You guys make it look easy. That is a scary about of weight. It would be cool if they made it so you could run both trucks from one remote. Stay safe, Jay
Nice lift as always!!! I feel bad for the farmer though that's a tremendous loss even with insurance hope he was close to finished with harvest God bless
Hi ron I think your videos are brilliant good information nice and polite to everyone you meet its a pleasure to watch so much so I have gone out and bought a peterbuilt 359 to scratch building into a wrecker keep up the good work I watch all your videos say hi to talon for me from your friend across the pond in the uk
So basically, the owner or lessor of the combine had no plans on how to move this or any other combine that might catch fire or otherwise become disabled. Thank goodness that the incredible Ron Pratt is in the area. He really saved the day (as he does in everyone of his videos). I really hope Ron's charge for this service reflects all of his preparation and costs, including the depreciation on trucks, like his $750,000 rotator.
It amazes me how much you use your rotator. Before finding your channel I was really only familiar with the local towing company’s truck, and they seem to leave it in the garage for the most part.
Hi Ron I just want to say watch your videos all the time ,you are very professional an that's fantastic to see as well as your faith in jesus christ .some of the small phrases you use (God bless an have a great day)I now use with my family an it's a great way to start their day an mine as I believe too .. from Richard wellington new Zealand.
