Using our 1150R Rotator to lift and set a large tank. www.paypal.me/RotatorRon Thanks for watching and God bless. www.midwesttruck.net/ www.guardianangeldevices.com/... #ronpratt #sdmo #heavydutyelite #halo #guardianangel
Ron, "Fibber, McGee and Molly" would be envious of how you keep everything packed in the compartments of the Rotator. (Anyone who doesn't know who Fibber, McGee and Molly is too young. It's from an old radio show.)
I just love the versatility of your Rotator Ron, and all the accessories you have stashed in and on your rig. Your experience shows. You make everything look so easy. Thanks for the great videos.
Always a pleasure to see how you tackle even a simple job like this with care and consideration and consummate skill. Thanks for another interesting video.
That telescoping collapsible extension ladder is light and compact for sure but be aware that it will not survive abuse. If a section gets bent or crushed, the ladder is instantly scrap unless the manufacturer offers quick, cost effective repair.
Another Quality 👍 Move by Ron @ Midwest Trucking. Your Company is as Universal as it gets. You are Never at a loss for ideas on how to get the job done. Thanks!
Yet again, another big Thank You Ron for another enjoyable 45 minutes, I really was surprised at just how technical the lift was, while still being straightforward for you, a really good Good Friday Nights viewing, and a very Happy Easter to One and All at Midwest Trucking, Stay Safe God Bless
Ron, I spotted this little saying on the Pinterest website. It said: "I am not perfect. I say stupid things sometimes. I laugh when I'm not supposed to. I have scars left by people who did me wrong. I'm a little crazy and probably won't change. Love me or not. But I make one promise, that if I love you, I do it with a full heart." The comment below that saying had this: "I have a big heart and I love deeply sometimes that ..." This is something to strive to do all of the time. Do you agree? Bet you have wondered about me on occasions after I've left comments on your videos. I've learned to be a deep thinker sometimes to my detriment other times not. But I try leaving some incite that can stimulate and help. All of your videos are teaching in small steps as you say.
Love what you do Mr ron sitting in my arm chair this morning with pulled muscles in my belly watching you helps the pain go away from Tasmanian happy Easter and stay safe
I like how careful you were with the cable so as not to scratch his tank & then you let your shackle on the strap bang the side of the tank. I love it when a plan comes together! Hope you & your family have a happy Easter!
Never fails, try to demonstrate how easy something works, i.e. the ladder, and it acts up! Lol! As always another job well done! Blessings to you and yours, Ron. 🙏
Ron, your 1150R has to be one of the most versatile lifting/moving devices on the planet. Doing that job with an RT, AT or crawler would have taken a whole lot longer. Strong work!
I had the re-direct figured out when you said you had to do it. I remember watching you move the tanks the first time. So you can hook up to the top & the bottom of the tanks and have a stable & equal lift.
I love how you explain on what you are doing as you work right along. February, that's quite some time ago, at least two months. Like always, it's nice to watch your videos as you do your work. Sometimes it seems though I'm right there with you picturing myself helping. I don't work anymore, I receive disability do to health reasons. I'm only 52 years old going on 53 in July. I do miss working, my last job I was a Cabinet Maker for 2 in a half years before I couldn't work anymore. If I could I think I might be able to handle working again, depending on what kind of Job I can do. Well thank you Ron for sharing, I have been learning a lot on how to become a tow truck driver and such. God Bless and stay safe out there, love you my brother, of course in Christ. Peace from California. Oh, by the way, love that ladder of yours. Love the music remix, 100 percent better than the original, good job.
Ron, you and I are a lot alike, we both take a lot of care to find the best tools for the job. I admire the way you have outfitted your trucks with the tools you need and keep everything organized. You have built a very solid business because of it.
Great how you set-up the lift so he could spin it and place it where he wanted it. Letting the customer make decisions like that gets you more happy customers and fewer "you didn't put it where we wanted it" later. Videos like this highlight how much you clean and maintain the gear. That ladder is pristine when you set it up, but a bit muddy when done. I'll bet it's clean by next use as well.
The amusing thing from this past winter was that those from the West coast who "snowbirded" to Aridzona, got snowed on! A lot! Then they returned too early and got snowed on again plus a flood!
Every time a 'Snowbird' is mentioned, I automatically think of the plane... I just never knew that's what my grandparents were called when they tripped to Florida every winter from Canada, lol.
Good Morning to the World....Ron Pratt does a GREAT JOB at every job site...., safety is the NAMED of GAME ALWAYS.... i was thinking it would make more sence to pick it first and then redo your lines to upright it second...just saying. GOD BLESS US ALL. ..
A useful addition to your vehicles would be a reversing alarm, either a straightforward "beeper" or a repeating message like "this vehicle is reversing". These are often used in the UK.
The Tator does have a "backup alarm" beeper very similar to the beeper you hear when the boom rotates, however, the viewers can not hear the beeper while I'm in the cab. It does work and people around the truck can hear it, but I was taught to also blow the horn, just as an added precaution. Thanks for watching and God bless.
I seen you and the rotator Tuesday April 16 on a exit ramp from the after math from a semi that was in the median. Your rotator is an amazing looking truck.
YES. That situation could have been much worse. Car tried to take the emergency turn around in front of 2 semis that were running side by side. Car hit the semi that you saw me with. Took out the steering linkage and the truck driver had no control. Two women in the car. One uninjured and one with non-life threatening injuries. So for a Semi VS Car crash, it was a decent outcome.
Happy Easter Ron. It would be cool if you could rev the engine and hear the turbo whistle. I hope there will be smoke out of the exhaust. Your awesome.
Nah; take the whole fleet to a tractor pull and let's see how each one places. Too bad the rules don't allow setting a deadman anchor well past the full pull line and winching the sled along.
Ron, at 36:00, I'd be breaking out the Bo'sun's chair instead of the short, dinky ladder. The collapsible ladder is great for a container or box van, but here I'd go for a ride on the white line all the way to the top in a hooked in, enclosed seat so you can't fall! Love the vids.
Very nice job done little nerve-wracking at the in there it seemed but you got her done I think I would have went and got the bigger ladder what you got her done God bless
Sir Ron !! YEPPER !!!! Looking at the wrong pad is like backing up to the wrong trailer which was done many a time !!!! Don't feel bad about that !!! KEEP IT SAFE !!!
It seems like a useful thing to have on the truck would be a full body harness. Just grab the remote and hook onto a winch line, and you have the biggest ladder you could possibly need. And an infinitely prepositional ladder at that. Just make sure you don't drop the remote. A caribiner and strap could make sure that never happens though. Seems like it would be handy. I sure would trust it more than a ladder in most situations.
Ron, good morning, I just watched this,,interesting caper, its5.32am, Easter MONDAY (. Holiday for me), so I hope you and yours has A GRAND EASTER, for he has risen, GOD BLESS, to you all And Cheers from NJ
207 "Looking at the wrong pad" is that the same as "I landed on the wrong runway"? Have a wonderful Easter Ron. Hope the calls are slow so you get to relax. God Bless
Hey Ron! 42:50 I love it, a place for everything & everything in it's place......For me (often) it is....There is the place & there is EVERYTHING!!!! LOL!
Another job well done Ron. Thanks for the video made lunch break more enjoyable. I do have a question. You always say right tool for the job. The fold up extension ladder was not really the correct tool for the job was it? You should have the top of your ladder over the height of work. I know sometimes you have to do what you have to do but having spent many hours working off ladders I really don't want to see you come down off that position you were in. God bless and thanks for sharing your awesome work with us. Happy Easter. He has Risen!!!
Nicely done Ron! Question: do they make a man harness that you could attach to a free line so you could hoist yourself up instead of using a ladder? You could use the remote and winch yourself right up to where you need? Just a thought. Cool ladder though.
I can not imagine that there is no more suitable device for this task than the rotator. Otherwise, the construction of this tank would not be a showpiece for the engineer concerned. Nevertheless, safe job and Happy Easter.
I was about to ask why you couldnt set it down upright in that configuration, but I guess something was in the way? Darn it indeed! Great job in the end! Question! Would you have been able to do it in a single go if you had started off with the straps?
